Man City v Liverpool team news: Cherki starts, Reijnders + Gakpo subs

Sunday’s 16:30 GMT kick-off is set to be a big one for Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers, with Gameweek 11’s most-captained player Erling Haaland in action against Liverpool.

TEAM NEWS

Pep Guardiola makes three changes to the side that started the 4-1 Champions League win over Borussia Dortmund.

John Stones, Tijjani Reijnders and Savinho drop to the bench, with Ruben Dias, Bernardo Silva and Rayan Cherki coming into the starting XI.

Liverpool are unchanged from the midweek win over Real Madrid, which means Florian Wirtz keeps his place in front of Cody Gakpo.

Alexander Isak is named among the substitutes.

    Does anybody know if Tuanzabe is now nailed at CB for Burnley?

    I'm on WC12 and looking for a set and forget cheap 3rd spot on the bench who will be an okay 15th player on BB whenever I decide to play it (could be GW 18 with a double up of Burnley and Sunderland vs Everton and Leeds) He is 0.1 or 0.2 cheaper than the likes of Rodon or Esteve or other similar assets and has better defcon per 90 so could provide some points.

    Already have Mukiele as one of the other bench players so he's not included.

          Yeah, Liverpool's line up too disjointed. Salah's game is all about fluency, connection, and pace. This Liverpool team don't have any of those.

        Will give Gakpo a few more weeks. Think this game will mean he has to get minutes again, as poor as he is finishing, he’s still nearly their best route to goals.

        Have other issues like Kudus and Reijnders to deal with though first anyway. Woltemade too even.
