Welcome to our Saudi Fantasy Round 9 team reveals, where our panel share their updated squads, key transfers, and captaincy decisions ahead of the upcoming Round.

With form shifting across the league and several standout fixtures on the horizon, Round 9 presents another major opportunity to gain ground and target high-upside picks. Here’s how our managers are approaching the week ahead.

NOTES

  • Another strong score and a big green arrow in Round 8 keeps the momentum going.
  • I’m making no transfers this week, choosing to save them ahead of the long break, even with a couple of flagged players. Team value is healthy, so price changes aren’t a concern.
  • Grohe starts in goal, where I’m hoping for a few save points.
  • At the back, I’m lining up T. Hernández, Majrashi, and Simakan, with Zeze and Muffarij available if needed.
  • Midfield remains J. Félix, Fortounis, Carrasco, and Neves, while Quinones stays as the final bench option.
  • The front three remain unchanged: Ronaldo, Enrique, and Lacazette.
  • Captaincy stays on Ronaldo.

NOTES

  • Back from the international break, and we still have no clear update on the flags for Carrasco and Toney.
  • Last round brought a small red arrow, dropping me to 1.5K OR.
  • I have one free transfer, and the current plan is Al Sharani (HAZ) → Al Mujjrafi (TAA) or Harkess (DAM). However, I may be pushed into a hit if either Carrasco or Toney is ruled out. Al Ghannam is the likely replacement should that happen.
  • If injuries force my hand, I’ll also look to target Al Ittihad assets. They haven’t started the season well, but the fixtures are strong, and this run gives the champions a real chance to turn things around.
  • Captaincy stays on Ronaldo once again.

NOTES

  • This was my worst Gameweek of the season, and the team needed major changes. The defence is fine, but I have serious doubts in midfield and up front.
  • Because of this, I’ve decided to activate my Wildcard, and there are several reasons behind the decision:
  • Toney, Carrasco, King, and Leonardo are all doubts.
King looks unlikely to play, Carrasco and Toney still have no confirmed updates, and Leonardo may not start. We need clarity, and waiting carries too much risk.
  • I’m holding too many out-of-form players such as Okou, Zeze, Mané, and Malcom – with Malcom blanking three times in a row.
  • My team doesn’t include the most important player in the game: Cristiano Ronaldo, which is something I need to correct on a Wildcard.
  • Captaincy will be on a Hilal asset – likely Malcom or Salem – but that may change closer to the deadline.
  • Good luck to everyone this week!

NOTES

  • I’m activating my Wildcard this week, and here’s the full pool of players I’m considering. A few players already have their places secured in my squad, while the rest remain under evaluation before I finalise the draft.
  • Goalkeepers: Bono already has his spot sealed. The second goalkeeper will be chosen from Varela, Borjan, or Maximiano.
  • Defenders: Ibanez and Majrashi are both guaranteed picks. The other defensive options I’m assessing include Simakan, Boushal, Álvarez, Y. Al Shahrani, Mitaj, Simic, Malik, Mahzari, Moteb Al Harbi, Theo, Al Rubaie, and Villanueva.
  • Midfielders: J. Félix is the only midfielder with his spot confirmed. Around him, I’m considering a wide set of options: Salem, Diaby, Bergwijn, Mahrez, Enzo Millot, Mané, Angelo, Masouras, Quinones, Al Juwayr, Mandash, Al Kuwaykibi, K. Al Ghannam, Toze, Benrahma, Doucouré, Bendebka, and J. Brownhill.
  • Forwards: Leonardo is the only forward whose place is secure. The remaining striker slots will come from Cristiano Ronaldo, Enrique, Darwin (if fit), Ganvoula, Retegui, Lacazette (if fit), and Toney.
