He has a decent goalscoring record for Gambia and Feyenoord, and is underperforming his xG this season - so shirley he has goals in him. He's still a young guy, but he's looking at home in the Premier League already... :star:

    Semenyo replacement?

My midfield is Saka Bruno Foden Minteh Semenyo

I'm not really liking any of them... Maybe Rice? Have the Arsenal spot open. Would be a differential. I quite like Rice as a pick this year. The rest really don't inspire. Doku for triple City? Gakpo? Now feels like a good time to get off the Semenyo wagon while the form is bad and fixtures turn bad.

Least we forget, Palmer's been an absolute liability for nearly a year now. Two goals in his last 19 Premier League games is 5.3m territory, not 10.3m.

0 interest. He would need to start consistently and deliver for a few weeks before I'd consider. No sense ripping apart my team balance for a player that expensive, currently an injury doubt and hasn't shown good form in months.

    So, Pope to whom?
Got three arsenal so no Raya.

    A) Henderson. Solid defence.
    B) Sanchez. How do they deal with Caicedo out?
    C) Verbruggen, a bit risky
    D) Pickford. A bit left field but always solid.
    E) Martinez. Villa not conceding much.

    Won’t consider:
    Donnasummer : leaky d. Expensive
Sels: has Dyche really sorted them?
    Ramsdale: loose cannon

If you only had one free transfer you ll just have a free transfer next week if you had 5 FTS and used 3 and hit FH then you'll have 5 following gw. Basically it counts as a transfer. Hope it makes sense 🙂

If I hadn't had played FH, I wouldn't have had two Bruno's with one captain. We'll see what today and tomorrow brings.

But I would have captained Haaland, c'est la vie.

Reijndeer would have played. And so would have Romero who I've been trying to shift for weeks because I would have had Senesi and a Sunderland defender on the bench.

I benched Chalabah last week and sold Eze the week before.

I should just leave my team alone and let it sail under its own steam!

every year its apparent less is often more with FPL

should we really be selling Semenyo for example? It seems inevitable he will cone good again

      1. MJF
        7 months, 16 days ago

You can easily become too passive as well, I think that's the trap I've fallen into after a good start. For instance, I still own Kudus (benched this week)!

          I guess it's the balance.

The FH is risky in the sense it exposes all your decisions, 30 in total to one week variance, whereas most transfers are for at least a run of 5-6 games +

Fun and games but you can't dwell on fantasy points ...

          That's pointless!

  13. Holmes

Hopefully no injuries in this round, can sell Petrovic. Not sure who to get though, might have to get Raya for 2 weeks.

  14. The Big Fella

I am debating for this coming GW Gakpo in for Semeyo (can't afford Foden, more on that in a minute) given that he 1) has his best form at home and has a decent amount of home fixtures over the next few 2) is the best performing attacking player in the team at the moment and 3) has great fixtures coming up, regardless of whether home or away. I would like to jump on the form train to Fodenville but can't afford unless I sell Saka for him which I was not planning on doing until after Arsenal plays Wolves, but it is an option. My next three transfers would be (in a yet-to-be-decided order): Cucurella to Timber (no Arsenal defence at the moment), Semenyo to Gakpo and Saka to Foden. Any opinions or help appreciated.

    1. Ajax Hamsterdam
      • 11 Years

I wouldnt lose saka for foden. Just buy foden now imo for Semenyo. That's what I'm doing.

      1. The Big Fella
        • 9 Years
        7 months, 16 days ago

I said this above, I can't afford him unless I sell Saka so it is one or the other. Arguments for Foden are that he is on form, has good fixtures and the team is attacking. Arguments for Saka are that he is the talisman, is consistent (Foden is streaky) but Arsenal are not that attacking at the moment and for 10m, he has not got that many returns this season so far. This is why I was targetting the Wolves fixture before moving him on. I am a little stuck.

        1. Ajax Hamsterdam
          • 11 Years

Sorry big fella. Bit all over the place with my disastrous start of the gw which comes after a disastrous FH. What about doku then and forget foden all together ?

          1. The Big Fella
            • 9 Years
            7 months, 16 days ago

Worth thinking about. I need to think on it. Immediate instinctive reaction is I would delay the Gakpo transfer a week for Foden as we need to catch his purple patch before it ends but Doku is a bit different in that sense - he has one good game and gets returns every 4-5 weeks.

Yeah mate I am having a shocker too. Do not think I have ever started this poorly.

    2. Holmes
      • 12 Years

any other route for Foden? lets say for additional -4pts

          1. The Big Fella
            • 9 Years
            7 months, 16 days ago

Semenyo to Foden and Cucurella to a 5.6m but then I still have no Arsenal defender. My thinking is that Rice seems to be more involved than Saka in attack so should be ok with just him and the team would be more balanced. Tough decision this. Maybe an injury tonight will make my decision easy for me.

There's big swings in rank still depending on how the GW goes between 150k and 900k. Have been oscillating in this range for a while now. A few points can have a big impact. Have stopped looking at it really and just trying to get some consistency from the weekly line-up (and failing!).

did you buy him before or after Anfield?

Either way he'll Shirley come good again given even KDH/Reijnders are in the points. My plan could be something like Semenyo to Foden and when Mbeumo goes to AFCON, if Semenyo shows some life by then, then it's back on board

amazing stuff, glad I asked; was fixated on Rogers and/or Gakpo here

was close to scoring last night but Bournemouth as a whole has been disappointing lately. I would get a better form player if you have a spare FT.

      • 10 Years

If you can sell him for a FT for Saka/Bruno/Minteh/Foden then yes otherwise I dont really see a standout replacement for him.
Chelsea & United are two teams which will suit how BOU & Semenyo play and then its Burnley at home after those two.

The whole team look a bit turgid.. I sold finally. Wish I had pulled the trigger sooner.

The balance is so fine between patience and stubbornness. Keeping Semenyo has crossed the line. His stats have clearly dropped in conjunction with his points drop off so should have just sold earlier. thats like a 30 points swing between him and Foden..

I don't think you should put too much into the "I've had him since GW1"/ purchase price into consideration.

I don't think he's a must sell. He's nailed over the busy December period. He tends to overperform his expected data (look at last 2 seasons)

In saying that, if you don't have any fires in your team and need to use FT before GW16 then he can be upgraded to Saka/Foden/Bruno or downgraded to Minteh/Anderson

I'm always looking at how I utilise my Palace/Arsenal slots

looking at Guehi/Richards to replace Mateta, but wondering if Guehi moves does that completely undermine their defence?

With Arsenal, I'm looking at Califiori, but I think the play is Rice?

Guehi isn't going anywhere. The squad isn't big enough or experienced enough to cope with the amount of games we have with PL, Europe, EFL cup, FA cup and players away for AFCON.
Guehi will leave in the summer for free.

Looks like not getting Foden this GW was one of those season ending decisions for those of us who didnt. Rose in price as well now.

Cant say that before United mids & Minteh play and they have good fixtures.
He was a bigger differential on FH last week when everyone else blanked.

Pig sick of Bournemouth defence so thinking to move Petrovic > Kelleher for free this week. leaves me with the below, thoughts?

    Kelleher
    O'Reilly / VVD / Munoz
    Minteh / Bruno / Mbeumo / Saka
    Haaland / Mateta / Thiago

    Dubravka / KDH / Senesi / Mukiele

Appreciate Spurs away is not the best entry point, but post then brentford have nice fixtures

What do you thinknof one from the two options below.

    A. Eze to Bruno G
    B. Rogers to Bruno G
    C. Don't bother

    Thanks

Eze should be a long term pick because hes so streaky. He will come good over time. I like B but its really not an urgent transfer and holding is probably better.

Mateta to Woltemade and G2G ?

    Raya
    Richards VVD Van Hecke
    Bruno Saka Mbeumo Anderson Minteh

Seems like a bad transfer. Mateta has excellent fixtures even though he will probably be rested soon. Even if I were on wildcard I wouldnt pick Wolte over Mateta.

Enzo and Semenyo to Minteh and Foden for -4? Or would I be better off doing something about Senesi?

You can check your players selling price in the transfer page and switch from pitch to list view.

You will need an additional 0.8m to sell Semenyo to Foden at his current price

      Semenyo:
      Purchase Price PP 7.0
      Selling price SP 7.4
      Current price CP 7.8

      Foden: 8.2m

His mins was managed before his hip injury due to midweek UCL. You could say he has been rested when he was injured.

I haven't owned him this season but 1 GW punt against the worst team in the PL and on pens looks good to me...

            Got 25 minutes last night
Wished he’d been on pitch when I had him and wolt took it ha
As you say a one week punt , he just needs start/ minutes

    Dub - Senesi King Alderete

Still have my FH to use, would 16 be the best week left to play it even with the 5FTs we're getting gifted?

I would suggest noting down the teams to target on FH for 15-19 and see where you can make gains compared to your non-FH team

    Semenyo to Foden by downgrading
    A) Enzo
    B) Ndiaye
Probably doesnt matter since the orher will be sold next week?
Ndiaye has better fixture this week

I don't yesterday's MCI defensive performance should make us think O'Reilly is a bad pick

Think pep made a mistake taking out Nico very early and getting stones in his place...think he got too overconfident

Don't think he will sub off Nico early now which would improve MCI defensively

If you have a team where you cant make a single upgrade anywhere with a spare transfer then congratulations.
