Man Utd v West Ham team news: Fernandes + Cunha start

There’s one more match to go in Gameweek 14 and it comes from Old Trafford.

West Ham United travel to Manchester United, where the kick-off is at 20:00 GMT.

TEAM NEWS

Bruno Fernandes has been deemed fit enough to make the Man Utd starting XI, despite picking up a knock in the match against Crystal Palace on Sunday.

Ayden Heaven, Noussair Mazraoui and Matheus Cunha are also in the starting line-up.

Matthijs de Ligt, presumably one of the fitness doubts Ruben Amorim mentioned in his pre-match presser, is not in the matchday squad.

Leny Yoro and Mason Mount drop to the bench.

Nuno Espirito Santo makes just one alteration for West Ham and it’s enforced.

Lucas Paqueta is suspended, so Tomas Soucek earns a recall.

    United have been lively although not too much end product. I see them having a massive problem when Amad and Mbeumo leave for Afcon though. Their left side is so terrible compared to the right. Not sure Cunha is going to be a good replacement for Mbeumo because where will the chances come from?

          Hes always messing about with the backline though. All the successful teams have a stable backline. No europe, no cup games. Fatigue cannot be the reason for this constant tinkering

    What I have learnt here is people like to overreact and lose 'hope' particularly during first half/half time with the game still only halfway. Tactics do change at half time and goals are scored more after the break. I think United jave been decent, they will definitely go a notch higher after this half so I wouldn't
    necessarily worry that much yet.

    Minteh was unbelievably bad vs Villa. Passing back rather than taking on the last defender and giving the ball away. Any Brighton fans around? Hopefully, it was probably just one of those off days that all players are entitled too.

      But that is how he plays, his decision making is always poor and is not the best finisher. Regardless, I still brought him in last gw for the next gw particularly, but he is a frustrating player to watch.when.he does gets the chances.

        Brighton were sloppy in general, tbf. I think Villa are one of those teams that work really hard to close the spaces. Funnily enough, the out ball was Minteh but he didn’t seem to recognise the onus was on him to beat Maatsen (who’s pretty quick himself).
