After a 2024/25 that can only be described as a write-off, Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers who fancied Phil Foden‘s (£8.6m) form to improve at the start of this season were sorely disappointed.

The England midfielder played only 15 minutes in the opening three Gameweeks, and then a 12-point return in Gameweek 4 appeared to be a false dawn.

Between Gameweeks 5 and 12, despite starting every fixture, Foden mustered a single assist and no goals for an average return of 2.5 points per match. He was quite simply a no-go area.

But in Gameweek 13, all that changed. Two goals against Leeds United, two more against Fulham in the following match and, in Gameweek 15, he scored and assisted against Sunderland to complete a third successive double-digit return.

Top points scorers Gameweeks 13-15

Foden's form

GAMEWEEKS 1-11 v GAMEWEEKS 12-15

The signs had begun to look positive a week before Foden’s purple patch started. In the defeat to Newcastle United, Foden should have scored with a 41st-minute effort from 15 yards. That, incredibly, was his first Opta-defined ‘big chance’ of the season.

But from that game onwards, a huge improvement.

Tempted by Semenyo > Rice with my 1 of my 2 remaining FT's. But it might be trap with Arsenal's future fixtures.

Rodon/Mukiele > Tarkowski also tempting to beef up my defence.

Looking to spend all 5FT, thoughts on below?

    Munoz to Andersen
    Gakpo to KDH
    Eze to Saka
    Semenyo to Foden
    Mateta to DCL
Will do Mbuemo to Fernandes next week

    Raya Dubs
    VVD Munoz Thiaw Gudm Reinildo
    Gakpo Eze Mbeumo Rogers Semenyo
    Haaland Thiago Mateta

      I wouldn't remove Semenyo personally

I'd be tempted to hold Eze this week, Gakpo out maybe? for the preferred mid, facilitated by Munoz out. Hoenstly think you look pretty set then/don't need to go big on FTs

      That Arteta response looks familiar...

Arteta may have been downplaying Saliba's injury...

      GW14 presser:
“He had a little niggle, but I think it’s going to be a matter of days.” – Mikel Arteta on William Saliba

      GW15 presser:
“Yeah, it is a matter of days with those two, for sure.” – Mikel Arteta on William Saliba and Leandro Trossard

    Arteta injury update
    - Saliba "will be fit for Everton, tomorrow I don't know"
    - Saliba issue came from ankle injury, "he looks better"
    - Timber and Trossard "a matter of days"
    - Rice "let's see how he is today"

    Raya Dubravka
    VVD Senesi Andersen Richards Rodon
    Saka Fernandes Foden Rogers King
    Haaland Wolte Thiago

    A) Senesi to O'Reilly
    B) Wolte to Jimenez (but Wolte plays sun)

No need to make more than 1 transfer at this stage I think?

  26. Sgt Frank Drebin

So let's go through the info that we have:
    - Timber trained on Tuesday
    - He wasn't in the squad for Brugge but traveled
    - Before the game Arteta said that Timber had had a knock in the Saturday game vs Villa and it was too early for him
    - Arteta said that after the game that he had lost two defensive players this morning
    - Today (friday) he says it's the matter of days and we will see.

Imho either Timber was just rested and he will be fine for the weekend, or (more likely for me) he suffered a slight injury in training on the day of the game against Brugge and he's a serious doubt for the game against Wolves.

Wolves game could bring plenty of rotation and a range of Arsenal scorers. Bruno and Mbeumo with United v Wolves seemed a better bet, a more predictable 11. Eze could get 3 goals again or could get an assist and taken off after 60 mins to let subs fill their boots. But your FH will give you plenty of contenders and best of luck with it.

Timber to O'Reilly? Or have Esteve or Rodon subs?

Could go Hincapie. I like White as a more attacking threat but his minutes aren't nailed long term
