Newcastle v Chelsea team news: Enzo benched

Gameweek 17 of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) begins on Tyneside with Newcastle United v Chelsea.

Kick-off is at 12.30pm GMT.

TEAM NEWS

There are two changes from the Newcastle side that lost to Sunderland last weekend.

Tino Livramento is injured, while Anthony Elanga drops to the bench.

Jacob Ramsey and Jacob Murphy come into the side.

It looks like Lewis Miley will be at right-back again, as he was in midweek.

After making wholesale changes in the EFL Cup, Enzo Maresca pretty much reverts to the side that he sent out in Gameweek 16.

There’s one change, however: Moises Caicedo is in for Enzo Fernandez.

Newcastle United XI: Ramsdale, Miley, Schar, Thiaw, Hall, Guimaraes, Tonali, Ramsey, J Murphy, Woltemade, Gordon.

    PL are using semi automated offside technology which automates the detection and line‑drawing but still leaves the final call to VAR.

      So semi automated was supposed to speed up decisions.

      That explains why the decisions are taking longer.

      VAR goons are basically marking the homework before they'll release the decision.

          That was the worst game I've watched in years. Arteta is overly defensive away to too teams anyway then U had Chelsea acting like they were robbed with the red every opportunity they got. With Chelsea I see that every time I watch them.

    Ekitike got two quick balls into space last week and scored.

    However Liverpool don't normally play like that. For most of the game they put Ekitike up high against a low block with no space to shoot.

    Unless Liverpool change then I don't see him being a good FPL option.
