It’s time for another team reveal as we approach Gameweek 19 of Fantasy Premier League (FPL).

Dan Wright – who you can find here on X – has five top 10k finishes, which means he ranks 17th in our Career Hall of Fame.

Gameweek 18 didn’t go to plan. I finished on 39 points and dropped roughly 25k places to around 75k overall.

No presser list from Sky/BBC yet, but the latter may put one up around noon.

It'll be mostly embargoed stuff from the weekend. I know we've got stuff coming from Arteta (12pm), Amorim (1.30pm) and Maresca (2pm), while Howe's has come out this morning and Moyes's was released yesterday. Hurzeler has done a stand-alone presser this morning, while Parker was up and out of his chair at the weekend so he'll be doing a standalone one again today too.

More will follow today in some capacity (Dyche, Amorim, Nuno, Emery, Edwards), with a team news round-up coming this afternoon.

As for the managers of the eight clubs playing on Thursday, there's a good chance we're not hearing from some/any of those before the deadline. I know Slot has already filmed his GW19 presser after Wolves but again, it's embargoed till later this week (not sure when).

The only times listed by Sky Sports for the rest of today (there should be more than this):

          12pm - Arteta (ARS)
          1pm - Nuno (WHU)
          1.30pm - Amorim (MUN)
          2pm - Maresca (CHE)
          2.30pm - Dyche (NFO)

Moyes barely gave anything when asked if any players will be back. He is very dislikeable when it comes to injury news. The "journalists" have to take some of the blame as well. It's infuriating how they can't ask about KDH by name and specifically.

Anyone know why comments are embargoed? Not exactly insider information is it if press are aware?

So the newspaper have some unreported news that's not online to print. Jesse Marsch didn't know what an embargoed press conference was either.

I dislike being in the position of hoping Arteta actually answers questions on Timber and Califiori in any meaningful way.

At the end of presser yesterday Glasner wished the journos HNY, but then said: oh no, I'll see you on the 31st. That's after the deadline though.
It could be that some others will also have their pressers on 31st.

None. May be a bit of snow around at the weekend but doubt enough to threaten any PL games. Possibly more next week though so perhaps with keeping an eye on the weather for GW21. Most likely disruption will be during the break between GWs 21 & 22.

Tbf I have no idea which games are potentially affected by snow this weekend but it won't impact my transfer plans this GW.

BGWs outside of potential weather postponements:

              Confirmed BGWs:
GW31 clashes with EFL Cup final - 2 blank fixtures

GW34 clashes with FA Cup SFs

              Possible BGWs:
FA Cup final and Europa League final clash with GW37

The GW31 one could easily be my triple City and triple Arsenal having a blank.

Thoughts on Minteh starting the next two? Just a rest or due to poor performances? Fixtures are very tasty.

    1. Tonyawesome69
      • 7 Years

I think his benching was due to the tactical change to 3/5ATB which doesn't doesn't suit Minteh and setup was for Arsenal. I'm hoping Hurzeler reverts back to 4231 against easier opponents

      1. Tonyawesome69
        • 7 Years

Although might be worth keeping an eye out for Hurzeler embargoed quotes which may not be particularly positive for Minteh...

Neale found a great quote on Minteh. Seems like Hurzeler is annoyed with him again. I guess he has stopped being grounded!

          1. Sgt Frank Drebin
            • 9 Years

            What was the quote?

Having said that, the Brighton boss sounded quite chilly on Minteh’s benching after full-time.

“I think the first decision was just to make sure that everyone who’s playing deserves to play.” – Fabian Hurzeler, when asked why Yankuba Minteh was benched.

        2. Sgt Frank Drebin
          • 9 Years

Read something that Huerzeler wasn't particularly positive about Minteh in one of the post match interviews but there are no precise quotes available. I wouldn't read into that too much, though.

It would be much easier decision if they didn't have whu and BUR next.

If you have him, I'd keep/play him, but I would not be bringing him in. Even off the bench he is dangerous, very nearly scored against Arsenal.

  5. Sgt Frank Drebin

Any reason not to get Szoboszlai? Any chance he's not playing as RW with Frimpong back?

    1. Mother Farke
      • 2 Years
      3 months, 18 days ago

Slot was quoted ages ago saying he saw Frimpong as a RW solution whilst Salah is away. So yeah, he is a credible threat.

      1. Sgt Frank Drebin
        • 9 Years

Bradley is back and could play RB, right? So yeah, seems like it's a valid concern.

        1. Tonyawesome69
          • 7 Years

If its Bradley RB and Frimpong RW, it's likely Wirtz LW, Szobo/Grav and one of Mac/Jones for the final mid spot

With Liverpool playing again less than 72 hours after this match, I think he'll maybe divvy up the game-time between the two at right-back. Frimpong in GW19, Bradley in GW20?

              • 7 Years

Probably the case for 19-20, I was suggesting potential lineup if Frimpong/Bradley both start.

Pay them loads so they can come on for the last ten mins of games like Savinho and marmoush ( remember him? One of the hottest prospects in Europe ,now a league Cup player

    Hurzeler/Brighton presser this morning

Question on back 3 setup from 14:20 onwards:

"Definitely we will play in a back 5, if its tomorrow I don't know...we have always have to understand the opponent, what do we need against the opponent, what is necessary for them so it's several reasons why we choose a back 5"

He also mentions they have good CBs available and specifically references Coppola.

While Aaron Ramsdale (£4.8m) kept his place, it may have only been a stay of execution. Howe said, indeed, that it’s a position that he will look at.

“I think that’ll be a position obviously that will be discussed. Nick was actually ill before the game as he was warming up. So I don’t think there’s any way he could have played today, but we’ll make an assessment for the next game.” – Eddie Howe

Need to BB, 1 FT with a bench of:
    Petrovic
    Cullen
    Thiago
    Gabriel

    1.1ITB
    Cullen yellow flagged.

What would be your priority transfer?
