Nice, similar to the draft I’ve pulled together. Haven’t pressed the button yet though!

      Sanchez, Dubravka
      Gabriel, Timber, Tarkowski, VdV, Mukiele
      Palmer, Foden, Cherki, Rogers, Wilson

Rice + Keane to Gabriel + 5.8 mid for a -4 today before the Gabi price rise? Want to wait for more news but price rises are annoying.. will we even get more news with Arteta and Moyes?

    1. Captain Mal

Gabriel should be fine, the risk of doing the moves today is that one of your players on the Thursday matches gets injured / suspended and you'll have no easy way of fixing that.

Pretty sure Rice was at over +100% when people started selling him. Will he go up in price today?

Live FPL doesn't think so apparently. https://x.com/LiveFPLnet/status/2006129792098152752

It's changing by the minute, Foden and Saka aren't predicted to drop anymore.

Worth noting price drops are difficult to predict correctly. Ragabolly currently at 52% accuracy for price drops this season (highest compared to other price prediction models). At - 98%, there is a good chance he drops tonight.

Thanks, Tony, useful info. Neither affects me, as I don't have Saka and have no plans of selling Foden, just found it curious they were both predicted to drop in the first place, didn't expect people to be selling them.

Think he’s the second best bet at keeper.
Other option is to keep Raya
        Miss out on Gabriel and
        Do VVD to Tarkowski

If you beat #3 4-1, I think the term fixture proof applies.

Plus their defenders score and assist as often as their attack.

          Pickford + Timber
Don't like Raya as an option, never have
Timber is on a similar xG to Bowen, has been unlucky not to return more

            • 11 Years
            2 months, 1 day ago

Does same/similar xG mean anything if one is a striker and one is a defender. Assuming a striker can finish and get a goal or two but a defender not converting that xG will be no surprise.

            1. Utopsis
              • 6 Years

I think the point is he's getting into similar scoring positions / quality of chances to Bowen, irrespective of his ability to actually score the goal

At very high numbers, may be the difference in ability narrows, but if the numbers are mid, then ability to finish has to matter.

Quite possibly yes when you look at how quickly Foden and the likes rose
This is a player with 15% ownership that was at 44% in November and will clearly get back up to those levels as perhaps the best asset in the game!

Kinda pee'd off by the Gabriel goal. Made no sense to sell Timber (who also did well), yet still lost out.

          Raya
          Timber VVD Thiaw
Foden Cunha Szoboszlai Bruno G Minteh*
          Haaland Ekitike
          Dubravka // Alderete Keane Guiu

Providing Minteh is out I'll just bench with and deal with later. Ideally if KDH is back soon, he'll become that.

          1 FT. 2.7 ITB.

          A) Timber > Gabriel
          B) Cunha > Saka
          C) Minteh > Rice*
          D) A+ BorC
          E) Other?

Obviously in hindsight would rather have Pickford too. Annoying if Bruno never got injured, if have him.

Arsenal conceded 10 big chances in GW15 + 19, the two GWs they played Villa, 5 in each
In the 17 other games they conceded 12 big chances ex. penalties in total, pretty much all 0 or 1 per game!

            1. Mr Turnip 1

Most of the Villa chances in the second game were conceded once the game was all but won as well. The Arsenal defence is crazy, they’ve been unlucky not to have more clean sheets in recent weeks

Did Wissa look like he will keep the spot?

                Help please:
                A) Rogers for Rice
                B) Paqueta + Bowen for Rice + Thiago (-4)
                C) Paqueta for Wilson

A if you have to, but I don’t think Rice’s knock was too big by the sound of it. You could just roll tbh. I wouldn’t take a hit for two West Ham attackers, and I don’t know if it’s worth shuffling around low price mids who don’t score much anyway

                  Just did, for free:

Raya to Pickford (4.5 pts per match for Pickford, insanely good clean sheet potential for awhile)
                  and
Chalobah to Gabriel (The beast is back)

Yes, it's a slight bummer but I had to ship Raya due to too many Gooners (also rockin' with Timber).

And a tidy 0.9 itb for my next adventure.

Gabriel's price is going to fly
He peaked at £6.6m with 5.4m owners in GW11
In about 20 minutes he's at £6.4m but with just 1.9m owners

                  This Arteta quote:

"We had to rush him a little bit, but yeah he was comfortable, very happy.
We had to bring him earlier than expected, so we have to manage now the minutes, and the load." [BeIN]

...and the fact that next game is on Saturday and then it's Liverpool midweek makes he think he could plausibly get a rest vs. BOU
but the price thing makes me still want to move early on him, I don't want to wait for say GW21 or 22 and pay 7m for him or something!

Yes. I'm ready to hit a -8 for him.
