Gameweek 23 opens with Benfica in what looks like a favourable fixture on paper. That said, a Champions League match sits just around the corner, so rotation is firmly in play. That uncertainty brings risk, but it also creates opportunity if you back the right names.

TEAM REVEAL

GOALKEEPERS

In goal, Renan Ribeiro (€4.6m) and Kaique (€4.1m) are the options. Renan brings experience and has shown he can stack up save points, even when his side face pressure. Kaique offers a cheaper route in, and at his price, any clean sheet immediately looks like strong value.

DEFENDERS

At the back, one of the most intriguing picks remains Sidny Cabral (€4.7m). Although classified as a defender, he frequently pushes high into attacking areas, almost operating as a winger, which raises both his assist and goal potential.

There’s also plenty to like about Alberto Costa (€6.0m), who overlaps consistently and blends defensive stability with attacking intent.

Regular minutes make Samuel Dahl (€6.1m) a dependable option, especially given his involvement in build-up phases, while Justin de Haas (€5.4m) benefits from a well-organised defensive structure that boosts his clean-sheet prospects.

Rounding things off, Bá (€3.9m) serves as a low-cost enabler who can quietly accumulate points through defensive contributions.

MIDFIELDERS

Midfield brings a mix of explosiveness and reliability. In transition, Jovane Cabral (€5.4m) can be particularly dangerous, capable of delivering big returns when space opens up.

Mobility and presence in the final third keep Yanis Begraoui (€6.6m) firmly in the conversation, while the ever-reliable Ricardo Horta (€9.2m) continues to justify his premium status with consistent goal involvement.

Creativity and attacking flair come through Sorriso (€7.1m), especially in more open contests, and Victor Frohøldt (€6.5m) adds balance with his blend of defensive work and forward contribution.

FORWARD

Up front, there’s little doubt about the appeal of Vangelis Pavlidis (€13.3m). He continues to rank among the most reliable scorers in the league, consistently finding himself on the end of chances and delivering steady returns, which keeps him close to essential territory in fantasy terms.

Alongside him, Luis Suárez (€10.8m) brings a different profile – strength, presence in the box and clinical finishing. He has the tools to punish defensive mistakes and offers a genuine alternative for the captaincy if you want to move away from the obvious pick.
