NOTES
- In goal, I’m backing Christian Walton. Two home fixtures in the double and Ipswich still pushing hard in the promotion race make it an easy call. They need a response after the Wrexham defeat, and with both games at Portman Road the clean-sheet potential is clearly there.
- At the back, I’ve gone with Omar Sowunmi. Six goals this season and 23 across the last four campaigns show exactly what he offers from set pieces. He’s been excellent all year and carries real attacking upside alongside the clean-sheet chance. Dara O’Shea also makes my side. He isn’t the strongest for bonus, but he’s secure for minutes, has goal threat, and feels like one of the safer Ipswich picks given some uncertainty in other areas of their squad.
- In midfield, Jack Payne comes in off the back of a hat-trick and remains on penalties. Everything creative runs through him, and in games that should see goals, he feels like the main man. That’s why he takes the armband. Mark Helm is also locked in. If he maintains his recent form, he could deliver big in these fixtures. Meanwhile, Fred Onyedinma has 14 goal contributions this season and sits at the heart of Wycombe’s attack. With two favourable fixtures and strong likelihood of starting both, he’s very hard to ignore.
- Up front, I’m sticking with Michael Cheek. He hasn’t scored in the last few games, but he still leads the line, plays 90 minutes and takes penalties. The fixtures are strong, and the ceiling is there if he hits form again.
- For team picks, I’ve gone with Ipswich Town and Bromley. Ipswich benefit from two home games and clear motivation, while Bromley sit top of League Two and are unbeaten in 15 matches. In a limited pool this week, they look like the most reliable sides to back.

NOTES
- Another double gameweek is here, so here’s how my team is shaping up.
- I’m starting with Christian Walton in goal. Ipswich have two favourable home fixtures and remain firmly in the race for automatic promotion. After the heavy loss to Wrexham, this feels like the perfect opportunity to reset and start winning again. With both matches at Portman Road, the clean-sheet potential is clear.
- At the back, I’m doubling up with Dara O’Shea. He’s composed, dependable and completely secure for minutes, which is exactly what you want in a double. Ipswich need defensive stability after that shaky display last time out, and O’Shea plays a big role in restoring it. Alongside him is Omar Sowunmi, who brings serious upside. Six goals this season and 23 across the last four years underline his aerial dominance. Add in his bonus potential and, if fully fit, he’s arguably the best fantasy defender in the league.
- In midfield, Jack Payne feels impossible to ignore. He comes into the round off the back of a hat-trick, takes penalties and remains the clear talisman for Colchester. He’s proven he can deliver against anyone and looks like the safest captaincy option this week. Fred Onyedinma also makes the cut. With 14 goal contributions this season, he sits at the heart of Wycombe’s attack. The fixtures are good, the team is improving, and he offers both energy and consistent involvement in forward areas. I also like Charlie Whitaker, who remains Tranmere’s attacking focal point. Everything goes through him, and when he pushes closer to goal as part of a striking pair, his attacking and bonus potential rises significantly.
- Up front, I’m sticking with Michael Cheek. He leads the line, plays 90 minutes and takes penalties. While he’s not in peak form, the role hasn’t changed and the fixtures are strong enough to expect returns.
- From a team perspective, Ipswich and Bromley stand out clearly. Ipswich benefit from two home games and strong motivation, while Bromley continue to perform at a high level. Sometimes the strategy is simple – back the best fixtures and trust the strongest sides.

NOTES
- I’ve got Christian Walton in goal for the double home fixtures. Two games at Portman Road is exactly what you want from a keeper, especially with Ipswich still pushing hard at the top end of the table.
- At the back, I’m going with two defenders. Omar Sowunmi comes in for his attacking threat – six goals this season says it all – while Jack Tucker earns his place through sheer volume of clearances. His floor is strong every week, and if he adds a clean sheet, the upside grows quickly.
- In midfield, Jack Payne picks himself on current form. A recent hat-trick and penalty duties make him the standout option, and I’m confident he can deliver again. Fred Onyedinma has two decent fixtures to build on his 14 goal contributions this season, so he stays in. I’m also backing differential Mark Helm, who has three goals in his last four matches and looks full of confidence.
- Up front, I’m sticking with Michael Cheek. He hasn’t scored recently, but the fixtures are there and I’m backing him to get back on the scoresheet.
- For team picks, I’ve gone with Ipswich and Bromley. They have the strongest fixtures among the sides with a double, so it makes sense to back them.
- Captaincy goes to Jack Payne.

NOTES
- Formation: 2-2-2
- Captain: Jack Payne
- Team Picks: Colchester United & Hull City
- Rank: 792
- After a strong run of green arrows, I’ve taken a red this week which has stalled some of the momentum. It’s frustrating, but the doubles offer a chance to respond. They’re not the most eye-catching on paper, yet with the right calls I’m confident I can climb again.
- In goal, I’ve gone with Mat Hudson for Oldham. He heads into the Double Gameweek off the back of a 3-0 win that delivered 11 points thanks to a clean sheet and six saves. The fixtures – Crawley at home and Bromley away – aren’t perfect, but Oldham boast the second-best defensive record in the league at 0.96 goals conceded per 90. That gives him a solid platform.
- At the back, I’m backing Jack Tucker and Omar Sowunmi. Tucker continues to put up outrageous clearance numbers, sitting on 402 for the season. Regardless of the result, his floor remains incredibly high and he feels almost fixture-proof. Sowunmi’s 207 clearances may look modest by comparison, but his real value comes from set pieces. He ranks second among League Two defenders for goals with six, which gives him genuine upside every week.
- In midfield, I’ve paired Luca Connell with Jack Payne. Connell provides balance. He threatens from set pieces and regularly contributes interceptions, making him a strong all-rounder. Payne is my aggressive pick. He looks back to his best, carries set-piece responsibility for Colchester and comes in off a hat-trick. That form, combined with his role, makes him my captain.
- Up front, I’m sticking with Jayden Wareham and Reyes Cleary. Wareham arrives off the back of a hat-trick and has been a constant threat for Exeter, with 14 goals and one assist this season. The fixtures are challenging, but confidence counts for a lot. Cleary, meanwhile, has 16 goal involvements this season – six goals and 10 assists. When adjusted per 90 minutes, he ranks third in League One at 0.84 goal involvements per 90. I like the fixtures and think he can produce again.
- For team picks, I’ve gone with Colchester and Hull City. Colchester face Salford at home and Chesterfield away, and I believe they have enough quality to secure at least one win. Hull travel to Portsmouth and Ipswich, which are tough assignments, but their attack has shown it can trouble any side on its day.
