Serie A Fantasy Gameweek 29 arrives with injuries piling up and European fixtures just around the corner, increasing the risk of rotation across several sides. That added uncertainty makes planning even more important this week.

Our experts share their latest thoughts and strategies ahead of the deadline.

NOTES

  • A very quiet week looks likely for me, as I’ll mainly keep an eye on the two flagged players in my squad.
  • Moise Kean looks very doubtful at the moment. Even so, given the lack of reliable attacking options, I may as well keep him for now. He also has Verona in two weeks, which is a fixture I’d ideally like to target.
  • It’s a slightly different situation with Alessandro Bastoni. With Champions League football now out of the way, Inter’s defence suddenly offers more reliable alternatives if he doesn’t recover in time.
  • I could even move to a Roma defender. Another option would be doubling up on Juventus at the back for a slightly better run of fixtures.

NOTES

  • After a third green arrow in a row, I’ve finally climbed back into the top 10. That feels great after a tricky spell. With two free transfers in hand, I’m also in a really comfortable position heading into the week.
  • The current plan is simple: move on both suspended players.
  • Adrien Rabiot will definitely go. I’m almost certain his replacement will be Luka Modrić, who looks like a solid option for the upcoming fixtures.
  • I’m also planning to sell Sebastiano Esposito, although I’m not completely decided yet. The possible replacements just aren’t that exciting.
  • A few names are on my shortlist. Keinan Davis is probably the best forward I don’t currently own, although he also has the toughest remaining fixtures. Federico Bonazzoli is another option, especially as Cremonese need to start scoring if they want to avoid relegation. Then there’s Santos, who offers real explosiveness, but I’m not completely convinced by his minutes.

NOTES

  • As much as I’d like to roll the free transfer, a look at my team suggests I probably won’t. Everyone looks fit and ready to play apart from Adrien Rabiot, who is unfortunately suspended this week. I don’t really want to go into the round with one fewer player.
  • Because of that, the move will likely come in midfield. The players I’m currently considering are Domenico Berardi, Hakan Çalhanoğlu, or Frank Anguissa. I don’t have a clear favourite right now.
  • I’ll take a closer look at the predicted line-ups and the upcoming fixtures for each of their teams before making the final call.

NOTES

  • Outside of my Evan Ndicka being suspended, I don’t think I have any other issues, but it’s Serie A, so you never know.
  • I do have two free transfers though, so I could look to make a move.
  • I want Ndicka long-term, so I may have to just keep him and play with 14 men this week. However, Verona’s upcoming period of ropey fixtures makes me think I could move on a Juventus defender. They have a good fixture this week, but I don’t want to burn a transfer, so I think I’ll bring in Pierre Kalulu and roll the other transfer.
  • I’ll tinker all the way up to the deadline though, but ideally I don’t want to use both of my two free transfers if I don’t need to.
