With Gameweek 30 of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) nearing, our pundits are finalising their teams before Saturday’s deadline.

FPL General, who has three top 500 finishes to his name, has been without Erling Haaland (£14.6m) all season, so doesn’t have a keep-or-sell decision to make this week!

Here, he outlines his plans for the week ahead.

FPL General’s Haaland-less Gameweek 30 team reveal

Gameweek 29 feels like a lifetime ago. 58 points resulted in a small red arrow from 595k to 658k. Rather than selling the flagged Nico O’Reilly (£5.1m), my transfer was rolled, and the legendary James Hill (£4.2m) auto-subbed in for an eight-pointer.

It was good to see O’Reilly back in action in the Champions League midweek, so hopefully he’ll start against West Ham United on Saturday. Manchester City teammate Antoine Semenyo (£8.3m) delivered as captain, scoring the opener at home to Nottingham Forest. 

Elsewhere, Bruno Fernandes (£10.1m) and Cole Palmer (£10.6m) combined for 17 points, as Gabriel Magalhaes (£7.2m) reached double digits.

However, the Arsenal clean sheet was damaging, as was the highly-owned 19 points of Joao Pedro (£7.7m). Should I buy him this week? The last time this Brazilian was in my squad, he blanked on five straight occasions. Forgiveness isn’t easy!

    ML leader is 50 points ahead...he has Ekitike...should i then go different with Wirtz?
    I feel like i need a Liverpool attacker...we both have Virgil.

      Just go for the player you feel is better long term. Don't look at what your opponent is doing.

      If the leader had Pedro last GW and you went different with Palmer, where would you be now? How about if they had Semenyo and you stuck with Haaland? Or your Guehi/Nunes to their O'Reilly? Earlier in the season, Cucurella vs Chalobah

      Get/cap the players you expect the most points from. That's what will matter after GW38

      I think Ekitike has the most upside, so I got him

      Ekitike and Anderson, yes

      There are too many question marks about most other mids you could buy right now, except Bruno, Tavernier and KDH (bench)

      If you have them, then yeah Mbeumo as he's nailed. Not the striker anymore, but still involved enough

    Just realised I can't justify selling Rice, outside the existence of BGW31

    Not my best performer, but nowhere near my worst. FTs have to improve the squad... Might play 10 in the BGW

        I have Rogers and Chalobah to deal with. Rice has only one bad fixture for the rest of the season. In a title race. With DCs and corners. It's hard to find mids who've outscored him in their last 6 matches and have great fixtures, for instance

    I am thinking of selling Janelt to get 1 of the following for GW30 + 31. Current plan is to WC32 but not locked in yet.

    Who would you get?

    A) Anderson vs FUL + tot (logical choice but somewhat not as exciting?)
    B) Tavernier vs bur + MUN (high upside in 29 but not good if I choose not to WC32)
    C) Wilson vs nfo + BUR (minutes risk)
