The six teams ‘doubling’ in Gameweek 33 all have one more midweek match to come.

And whenever there’s a Premier League fixture, there’s a pre-match press conference to go with it.

Fabian Hurzeler (9am BST) and Liam Rosenior (1.30pm BST) are facing the media today, ahead of the Brighton and Hove Albion v Chelsea clash on Tuesday.

You’ll find the injury updates from both pressers here…

KEY DOUBLE GAMEWEEK 33 TEAM NEWS UPDATES

CHELSEA

Joao Pedro will be a “late call” for the trip to Brighton and Hove Albion, having missed Saturday’s loss to Manchester United with a minor thigh issue. The striker has been on the training pitch today.

“Joao will be a late call. He was out on the pitch today and we’ll make a decision on him tomorrow morning. So, a good positive because he will be back sooner rather than later.” – Liam Rosenior

Enzo Fernandez is available, meanwhile, despite hobbling off at the weekend.

“Enzo is absolutely fine.” – Liam Rosenior

Estevao (hamstring) is definitely out, however.

“With Este, he’s definitely out for tomorrow, which is a real shame. We’re doing our further tests and investigation into his injury.” – Liam Rosenir

Chelsea have no other concerns from the weekend.

“No other new [injury] news to report.” – Liam Rosenior

Levi Colwill featured for an hour for the under-21s last Friday and will play for them again this weekend, as he builds match fitness following a long-term knee injury.

“Very hopefully, yes, you can see him before the end of the season.

“60 minutes was a really, really good start for him. We want him to be involved in the next game on Saturday, with the under-21s, and build him up. It’s been a really bad injury that he’s come back from.” – Liam Rosenior on Levi Colwill

There were no further updates on Reece James (hamstring), Jamie Gittens (hamstring) or Filip Jorgensen (groin).

BRIGHTON AND HOVE ALBION

Kaoru Mitoma is available for Brighton’s second Double Gameweek 33 fixture, despite limping out of the Tottenham Hotspur game.

Hurzeler said the winger was merely suffering from cramp, even though he had only come on as a substitute himself.

“He’s good. He just had some some cramps. He felt a little bit in the warm-up but I think he had a very effective short performance on the pitch, being on the pitch scoring, helping us to get the equaliser, also had some some good actions. So, he just had minor, minor issues. He had a cramp and he will be available tomorrow.” – Fabian Hurzeler on Kaoru Mitoma

Diego Gomez, however, is out of the Chelsea match with a knee issue. The good news, at least, is that it’s not as serious an injury as first thought.

“Diego, he won’t be available but it’s quite positive news that it is not as bad as we expected. We have to go now week after week but hopefully it is not an injury that takes him out for months. We have to be patient now, we have to see how it all develops, it all evolves. Definitely, not a big injury that takes him out for months.

“It’s something with his knee. We made a scan and we have to rescan him in a few days to be clear what it is, but what I can say is that it’s not that bad like some of us expected it to be.” – Fabian Hurzeler on Diego Gomez

James Milner won’t return from the unspecified issue that’s ruled him out of the last two games.

“Not yet but I’m sure that we will see him back in the season.” – Fabian Hurzeler on whether James Milner will return on Tuesday

Solly March, meanwhile, sat out the draw with Spurs with a minor muscle problem. He won’t recover for Chelsea’s visit.

“It’s a minor issue he had in training. A small muscle… I wouldn’t say injury, but just an issue we have to be aware of. So, he won’t be available tomorrow, but then he should be back.” – Fabian Hurzeler on Solly March

Lewis Dunk returns from a two-match ban for the midweek game. There are no guarantees he ousts Olivier Boscagli at centre-half, however.

“First of all, like we know how important our skipper is for us and how he was out for a few weeks. He could recover well regarding his knee. We all know that he plays a really good season so far. He’s a big personality. He gives me a lot, he helps me a lot, he supports me a lot. So therefore, if he’s fully fit, of course, we want to have him on the pitch.

“Regarding Ollie, he played two really good games. He showed his quality. He immediately replaces Lewis in a very impressive way. So, therefore, it’s really great for me to have these kind of options.” – Fabian Hurzeler on Lewis Dunk and Oliver Boscagli

The leader of The MGW Appreciation Society mini-league is the only manager in Mods & Cons to own Morgan Gibbs-White, and his Bench Boost has scored 84 points so far this Gameweek.
Even the other two members of this mini-league don't currently own him.
Who is this maverick, you ask? You may have heard of him - he goes by the name of Mark Sutherns!

      That's funny ...

How many others in the league, not appreciating MGW at home to Burnley?

KDH or Ndiaye the better pick?

Should Summerville be considered or Bowen is enough?

    Xavi or Szsoboslai?

1 point off the bench (Gomez) if (when) Joao Pedro doesn't make it. Cannot catch a break with this guy 🙁

It would be lovely if Joao Pedro missed out all together with Taverniers points ready to come off my free hit bench. Really hope Noah Okafor’s early sub means he can play some more minutes this week too. All part of FH vs BB although with 23 points so far sat on my FH bench then the BB are most definitely winning so far.

Thinking of wildcarding in 34 with triple City on the bench. Other than FA cup games and possibility of injury, struggling to see a downside.

Thiaw (ars), Alderete (NFO and flagged), Thiago (mun) & Ekitike (injured) aren't realistically getting me many points this week & no bench to call upon.

That's what I'll be doing , also preparing for a GW35 BB. Looking at something like:

      Roefs
      Gabriel Timber(or Saliba) Mukiele Munoz
      BrunoF Roger Rice Sarr
      Bowen Thiago

      Subs: Darlow O'Reilly Semenyo Haaland

MGW, Summerwille, Watkins and McGinn also under consideration
What would your WC look like ?

I had a quick look and found it difficult as there are only about 5 players I like in the whole game - been this way all season really.

Bruno & Bowen in for sure. Haaland & O'Reilly as triple captain candidates & Nunes/Cherki as 3rd City.

Toying with the idea of triple Arsenal defence or none. Their games are very good, but confidence must be shot.

Think I may go zero Palace despite the DGW given their European commitments.

Hoping some inspiration surfaces by Friday. Last 3 or so weeks have tanked my season (completely self-inflicted, mind) so I'll need to pull some differentials out of the hat.

pay attention to your first sub - learned that lesson the hard way this week. If you could stretch to a Mukiele, I would.
