The Eliteserien Fantasy season continues with Gameweek 8. Our contributors are here to share their thoughts ahead of the upcoming deadline.

In this article, they reveal the teams, along with their captaincy choices, potential chip strategies, and the players they believe can make the biggest impact this week.

NOTES

  • Unless we get any late injury news, I don’t think there are too many difficult decisions for me heading into Gameweek 8. The current plan is to roll the transfer and once again hand the captaincy to Zlatko Tripić.
  • I’m still unsure whether Teodor Haltvik will return to the squad this week. However, after missing the last three matches through injury, I wouldn’t expect him to come straight back into the starting XI. Because of that, he takes a place on my bench alongside the players without a fixture in Gameweek 8.

NOTES

  • My team looks fairly weak this week, but with it being a Blank Gameweek, I think that will be the case for a lot of managers.
  • A hit ended up being necessary, so I’ve moved Joachim Soltvedt to Walle Egeli, Steve Mvoué to Evangelos Patoulidis, and Anders Cornelius to Niang. The -4 felt needed and should leave me in a much stronger position moving forward.
  • I also really like the look of Peter Christiansen this week, but unfortunately, I just can’t find a way to fit him into the squad. Sometimes you simply have to back the structure you already have.
  • The plan for next week, if FK Bodø/Glimt win the cup match, is to activate the Rich Uncle chip, with six teams currently set to double in Gameweek 9.
  • Good luck this week, everyone.

NOTES

  • It’s the first Blank Gameweek of the season, with four teams without a fixture, so I’ve decided to rely on my bench depth while making two transfers. The players making way are Jón Dagur Thorsteinsson and Thomas Lehne Olsen.
  • Coming into the squad are Peter Christiansen and Felix Va. Both players have already produced two goals and three assists this season, making them two of the standout assets to target ahead of the round.
  • I’ve also decided to go without a goalkeeper this week. Bringing one in would have required taking a hit, and with goalkeepers generally offering limited routes to points, I don’t think the risk is worth it.
  • Captaincy remains on Zlatko Tripić. His 17-point haul last week only reinforced why he continues to look like the standout captaincy option in the game right now.
