Ahead of the big single Gameweek, our Fantasy EFL contributors are back to reveal their teams and plans for the upcoming round.
Here, they talk through their key picks, transfers, captaincy decisions and club selections for Gameweek 6.

NOTES
- I’m backing Grimsby, Norwich and Huddersfield against favourable opposition this week. Murray Wallace could pick up a comfortable haul from clearances alone. Ruairi McConville also carries plenty of goal threat and can chip in with bonus points.
- There are around 10 midfield options to consider, but Andre Brooks and Louis Page make my team for now. Brooks also gets the captaincy. Both have decent routes to points and good interception numbers, while Brooks adds significant goal and assist threat.
- Up front, I’ve gone for Jarrod Bowen and Andy Cook. Bowen speaks for himself, while Cook may not be fit. If Cook misses out, I can easily switch to another position once the line-ups arrive. If he starts, I really like him against a poor Crawley side.
- I’ve gone for Huddersfield and Grimsby as my club picks. I don’t think they’ll offer too much value later in the season. However, I may save a Grimsby pick and use Norwich instead, as I’m already 1/5 on them. I fancy all three teams to win, so I’ll make the final decision on Saturday.

NOTES
- In goal, Pierce Charles is my preferred route into the QPR defence. They face an underwhelming Preston side, and the goalkeeper gives me a straightforward route to their clean-sheet potential at home.
- Grimsby have one of the strongest defences in the EFL right now and host a poor Crawley attack. That makes Cameron McJannet an easy inclusion. He combines a solid floor with genuine goal threat, so I’m not relying solely on a clean sheet.
- Completing my defence is Jack Fitzwater, whose floor has been outstanding. He hasn’t dropped below 10 points in any match this season. A decent fixture also makes him a reliable option this week.
- Norwich sit top of my model for projected goals ahead of their home clash with Bolton. With Mo Touré carrying some minutes risk, I prefer Andre Brooks as the safer route into their attack.
- Another midfielder I like is Lewis Wing. He’s a proven Fantasy EFL option with an excellent fixture and several routes to points. That also puts him in my captaincy conversation.
- The highest-scoring midfielder in the game so far, Charlie Lakin, completes the midfield. Fleetwood have been outperforming their underlying numbers, so I’m happy to keep backing him.
- Up front, Joe Taylor leads the line and currently gets my captaincy. Huddersfield look like a different beast this season and now face a poor Bromley side. Taylor sits at the heart of their attack and also takes penalties.
- For my club picks, I’m backing Huddersfield and Grimsby. The latter provide the safer option as strong home favourites with an excellent defence. Huddersfield offer more upside away at Bromley, with the potential for a convincing win and four or more goals.

- A fun single Gameweek awaits us this week. There are loads of options to consider, so it should be an exciting round. In goal, I’ve gone for Pierce Charles. QPR aren’t conceding many chances, while Preston haven’t impressed me despite sitting mid-table for expected goals (xG).
- At the back, Jack Fitzwater offers good bonus potential and plenty of goal threat. He also has a strong chance of a clean sheet against a poor Tranmere attack. Alongside him, Cameron McJannet plays in an excellent Grimsby defence and faces a struggling Crawley attack. He can also pick up bonus points.
- My two midfield picks feel fairly obvious. Lewis Wing should continue to tick along nicely, while Charlie Lakin offers more upside. Lakin also combines excellent form with a favourable fixture.
- Up front, I’m backing the 2-2-2 formation with Joe Taylor and Aribim Pepple. Both have excellent fixtures and plenty of upside. Blackpool have conceded the most xG in the league so far, while Bromley aren’t far behind and have also lost key players.
- Norwich and Grimsby complete my team picks. I expect Norwich to win comfortably, while I’m also very high on Grimsby this week.

- In goal, I’ve gone for Jed Ward. He’s a very good goalkeeper and comes into the round after keeping consecutive clean sheets. I’m looking forward to seeing what he can deliver this week.
- At the back, Jack Fitzwater and Lloyd Jones both offer excellent bonus potential. They also have a chance of adding clean-sheet points this week.
- Andre Brooks against Bolton is a big pick for me. Bolton concede plenty, while Norwich score lots of goals, so I really like the fixture. Joining him in midfield are Charlie Lakin and Alex Newby, the two highest scorers so far. Both feel like must-haves this week.
- Up front, Joe Taylor faces one of the worst sides in the league. I rate him as the best striker in League One, so he definitely makes my team this week.
- Bristol Rovers have started the season very well, while Gillingham have been much more inconsistent. That makes Rovers my first club pick. Finally, I’m backing Wolves at home to West Brom. Derbies can be unpredictable and tensions will be high, but I really fancy Wolves on home soil.
