The penultimate match of Gameweek 9 sees Liverpool take on Arsenal at Anfield.

Andoni Iraola’s men are six points behind Arsenal, having beaten Brighton and Hove Albion 2-0 last time out.

Meanwhile, a win for the Gunners would put them three points clear at the top of the table.

Kick-off is at 16:30 GMT.

TEAM NEWS

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta makes five changes from Gameweek 8.

Ben White, Myles Lewis-Skelly, Mikel Merino, Eberechi Eze and Viktor Gyokeres drop to the bench.

Jurrien Timber, Riccardo Calafiori, Bruno Guimaraes, Christos Tzolis and Kai Havertz come into the side.

Tzolis is back from a hamstring injury, while Calafiori, Declan Rice and Noni Madueke have shaken off their respective issues to start.

For Liverpool, Iraola brings in Trey Nyoni for Ryan Gravenberch.

Dominik Szoboszlai and Victor Munoz are both back on the bench, meanwhile.

no one owns him, but the worst injury over the international break would be an injury setback for saliba! but fairplay to konsa owners i guess

What a defensive unit. 2 games played against Arsenal and 0 shots on target.

Only team that can stop Arsenal is Arsenal.

A Kinsky to Raya (own Konsa and cala)
    Or
    B Davis to tark

Playing BB and b would mean
Konsa Cala tark muha de Cuyper

    Maybe bit too much ?

Bought Foden as WC punt, would you keep or sell?

    Rest of midfield:

    Palmer | Rogers | Tavernier | Groß

    Thanks

I got him last week as well. Lone the player but doesn't look promising as an fpl atm. I got the exact same mids as you so I'll be benching foden for this week and reassess after the IB

Mad to TC De Cuyper this week?

Genuinely considering it and find it mad peeps thinking his minutes will drop, guy is best LWB in the world right now

Brentford will probably score, so I wouldn't do that. If you want to TC a defender, go for an Arsenal one.

I would not do it ...

But this is funny because my season is dying with bad decisions

Haaland is my C but with Doku, Ndyie, and Enzo as the mids, Haaland is suffering from horrible service

With Raya in goal and refs on their side nothing is stopping Arsenal.

Seems all rivals have 70 pts this week

Destroyed myself with poor 50/50 decisions and collecting donkeys in my defense

    (1) DCL, Wissa, and Gonzalo have been my 3rd striker this season
    (2) Gavriol has been on my squad all season
    (3) trapped with Ben White cause Timber came back too soon
    (4) Schade became garbage
    (5) have missed 2 de Cuyper hauls
    (6) why do I have Palmer?
    (7) took weeks to untrap myself from Sxoboslop

My 3rd strikers have had 15 shots, 6 big chances, no Goals

How many hits have people taken this season? I'm normally pretty trigger happy with hits, but none so far.

      Yeah, none here either.

None. Managed to tune into template quite early, and so far no reason to be very differential. I think this season will be more a case of navigating festive season and then playing chips for blanks and doubles in the run-in

    3. Brosstan

None. Taking hits is a sign of bad long term planning.

I always remember this guy here years ago. He showed me his team, and he had taken a -12 every week for 6 weeks or something. He went from like 3 million to 25k during that period. Every week his hits paid off. Was probably the most insane thing I have seen in FPL.

The first seasons I played, I played aggressively took a lot more hits than I do these days. I also got much better OR's then, but ofc much easier back then when majority of casuals weren't spoon fed by cc's

          1. Hard to know when to hit and not. I think it can pay off. I just got burnt a lot in the past trying to guess when a players form would drop off.

This week? Inevitably not. However I have had a terrible start, I was bored with the game and I don't enjoy playing like an ascetic so I'm fine with it and I am happier looking at my team now. I appreciate it's not sensible play though.

Ta. Hopefully it will pay off in the longer term and if it doesn't it's not the end of the world.

    just now

Munoz to Konsa with 1ft later this week seems logical even though I own Gab and Cal right?
