    This season is almost the easiest / least interesting I can recall

    You have Verb or Raya in goal

    2 Arsenal defenders and De Cuyper at the back

    Haaland up front a given

    Why not have Gross

    Then its one/two of Jackson / Pedro depending on fitness

    7 of your 11 basically picks itself

      Meanwhile I haven't owned Verb or Raya this season
      I have 3 Arsenal defenders, not 2
      I never owned De Cuyper
      Never owned Haaland
      Owned Gross for only 2 GWs

      And my last three GRs have been 108k, 509k & 3.5k (albeit with a BB)

      It's up to you how you play, my friend, and 2 of your 7 that pick themselves are options of 2 players, so they don't pick themselves

    Joke decisions that went against me this GW:

    Bogle wasnt sent off for a blatant RC foul, which meant Van Hecke didnt get the CS + bonus that he should have
    Ipswich got the most laughable penalty Ive ever seen which lost me 9 points
    Chelsea didnt get a stone wall penalty which is 8 points lost for Palmer

    Fun game this when you get 2-3 of these decisions against you every single gw

        Yes its variance and then there is bound to be someone at the bottom of the range of variance. Thats me. One season isnt enough of a sample for variance to even out.

            Thats a misconception about variance and randomness. From this point in time, the odds are completely neutral. I dont magically get the odds in my favor in the future because Ive been unlucky in the past.

            The bad luck Ive had will never be returned in form of luck in the future.

                In favor of not continuing to completely suck, yes. In favor of evening out the bad luck Ive already had, no. The best I can realistically hope for is to get neutral luck in the future, but I will never get back the points lost from being bottom of the barrel unlucky so far.

              It's more likely to turn than to keep going in the same way. That's like flipping a coin 11 times and getting tails each time and then expecting to get tails another 11 times.

                Its likely to be neutral in the future

                Ive flipped 10 tails. My future 10 flips will be on average 5 tails and 5 heads. Thats still an extremely unlucky total of 15 tails 5 heads. Its extremely unlikely that variance will give me 10 heads in a row to counteract the bad luck Ive already had.

                  And even IF I were to get 10 heads in a row which is extremely unlikely, I would still be sitting at 10 tails 10 heads, while there are people out of the 10 million players who have 20 heads for the season.

                  The only way to win at FPL is to be one of the luckboxes who keep flipping heads an entire season in a row.
