This evening we roll out the first in a series of members’ articles that look back over each individual team from the 2014/15 campaign. Starting with Arsenal, we assess the top ten goal threats and chief creators in a season that saw the Gunners clinch third spot in the Premier League after finishing on 75 points, 12 behind title-winners Chelsea.

If he moved to Watford I'd imagine he'd have a good chance.

Danny Ings: Scored at least 2 more goals (11) than any Liverpool player managed in the Premier League last season; Steven Gerrard (9) #LFC

I'm not sure where this 'Ivan in most teams' is coming from, I don't think I'll pay 7.5 tbh jk, not when I need Aguero/hazard and a few others.

yeah, I really would like to have him there and just forget about that spot but a Chelsea defender just seems like a Jan WC luxury when we hopefully have 2-3m more to spend

Should be lots of value in the sub 5.0 category, I can't see me spending much more when Ramsey/Silva/Depay may be needed with 2 big hitters.
The fixtures will be a big help.

One thing I have learnt in the last few years is that when shopping for that crucial 3rd striker spot in the mid price shop it's usually better to buy a nailed on striker who is used to playing in England (Lambert, Austin, Deeney?) then an expensive foreign import with an impressive name but no idea about English football (Boselli, RvW, Osvaldo, even Pelle to a degree)

actually still chuffed that my big pre-season pick, Charlie Austin turned out to be awesome

Should have just stuck with him all season, would probably have ended up about 100 points better off

Austin should still be a good pick this season depending where he ends up. Good value on the other hand...

Name a 7.5 m striker/mid (bar harry kane who is exception not example) who scored more than ivanovic ? Ivanovic is likely to repeat this again providing he remains fit. So why not ?

Cashflow, I don't believe any player is 'essential' outside of Aguero/hazard right now.
I think that Ivan is too dear when you could get a 4.5 def and use that 3m elsewhere.
I'm just saying he may have to be the sacrificial lamb until cheaper nailed on points scoring players reveal themselves.

I am not saying he is essential. But I can see lots of people starting with ivanovic and it is perfectly okay. Chelsea defenders are fixture proof and ivanovic tends to do well at the start of the season.

Do you know where this Ayre stuff has come from, not one journalist is running the story. From what I can see, it appears to have come from Moley who from my own personal experience is full of speculation and unreliability...

Jay Riley said that Ayre will take up a job at Standard Chartered when his contract finishes so he hasn't left. Moley up to his usual nonsense

Ayre has had that offer for quite a long time, it might be a wise career move for him to take it. For what it's worth Jay Riley earned my unfollow last year too, I throw him in the same bracket as Moley.

In this time of lull, answer me this: Which movie have you enjoyed the most in your life and hence, is your most favorite movie ever?

(Not asking about which movie is the best ever or a marvel in cinema making but the one you have watched numerous times and is very close to your heart?)

I've watched each James Bond film + Star Wars film numerous times since I was a kid.

I watched Shutter Island the other day and loved that. Not really a huge movie fan, I'm more into TV series. From that, I love - The Sopranos, Boardwalk Empire, Game of Thrones - all of those I've watched multiple times. And I love Modern Family. Oh, and Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em.

A Matter of Life and Death by Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger. Wonderful film of life, love, death, David Niven and a stairway to heaven. Never tire of it.

Jason and the Argonauts -still scary from childhood to adulthood. Ray Harryhausen making a mockery of CGI.

I can never seem to turn off Goodfellas, Pulp Fiction, Boogie Nights or Taxi Driver. Out of them 4 I've probably seem Goodfellas the most. Id give it a good shot reciting it line for line 🙂

Unlikely that Ruddy and a Schmeichel will come at same price. Pulis nailed on defender gotta be 5.

Silva I am counting to be 1 m more than last time as his goal count has increased sharply this year, Depay 9 as he will have FKs most likely (but 8.5 is possible as well). Hendo 7.5 will be cheap as he has penalties (I will get him for sure at 7.5),

Gomis possible at 7 but he again has penalties (think 0.5 less than Bony)

      - 3 assists
      - 14 bonus

      Valencia

Well all I can do, is set a good example. I must say - I have never heard this stuff when I've been there, but I do not dispute that it goes on. All the London Clubs are similarly dodgy, though.

Football clubs wherever they may be always attract a certain dodgy element , part of life it is

Differences of degree are real differences that have to be taken into account. West Ham has more of that than others.

Don't get me wrong, Doos, I've actually always liked the Irons, the club and its fanbase just does have a relatively huge dark side.

And also, to the case, I do reckon that it's pretty massive part of people in football worldwide who will use disability as an insult without even understanding that they're insulting the disabled as well.

We had this here, on this forum, days ago. Don't know if any Pool fans bar Berba's forehead were saying it back then.

Crazy! I mean to sack him after a pretty fine season with a quite handicapped squad.
