Arsenal Miss Out on Vermaelen Bonus After He's Forced to Return Champions League Medal

According to European football's governing body's rules, a player can only receive a Champions League medal if he has appeared in the competition during the season.

Feel bad for Claudio Bravo, 1st choice in La Liga all season but no Champions League medal.

Anyone watching the womens world cup. I haven't yet but I might watch the England game later. What is the quality like?

Not too bad, probably around League 1/2 standard. The poor quality of keeping lets the game down imo.

Well I am sure a template will appear before the season starts. That would be a safe place. You can check out last seasons stats for players you do not know as well.

No great revelations for me, although I tried a few experiments last year. Can't say I found anything startling - but then again it was a year where the template was easy to achieve without too many funds, which made significant rank change difficult. I'm kind of hoping this won't be the case next year.

Welcome back mate. Just a few I've learnt this season

      - If you can't watch games (which is sometimes hard due to timezones) at least watch extended highlights
      - Being a member helps
      - If you have 2FT don't be scared to not use any if you don't have to
      - Always try and conserve your WC unless you 100% must use it
      - Never use transfers on payers you are benching, just save and make the move next week if you must
      - Try find a good defensive rotation that will save transfers in defence till the Jan WC
      - Try and get your friends/colleagues to play in a ML, makes it all the more fun!

Prices moved slower and were less accurately predicted by the price change sites so playing to increase your budget became harder. Other than that it's the same old game that you know and love πŸ™‚

Hazard is a BAP god, Azpi is a BAP demi-god, Man U defence was amazingly reliant on De Gea, Arsenal defenders an option now Coquelin in the team (even more so if someone else is bought), Silva has turned into a goal scorer, Sanchez is a beast, Fabregas will only perform in the first half of a season, Costa hates BAPS and was lucky to avoid more suspensions, Europa league kills teams, don't get Remy or Moreno. πŸ˜€

So Danny Ings then. Not quite good enough to be the striker Liverpool need and just to be a squad player? Or do you think he will prove himself as first choice?

Bebe's underlying stats in La Liga this season were a fair bit better than Aspas' , and Bebe had to play for the worst team in the league, while Aspas was at one of the best πŸ˜†

And when he was playing for a craps team he got 12 goals and 7 assists (I don't think he's craps just average. Good for a mid table team in top flight.)

And made 12 sub appearances, and sub effects boost /90 stats as do playing in a better team. He is kack and only ever played well in the Spanish championship

To be fair to him I think he's decent and he's young, the not wanting to take that penalty worries me, but at best 3rd choice and for a squad player he wasn't really needed, we have Origi and Jerome Sinclair needs to start getting games.

Well 3rd choice at Liverpool basically means defacto 2nd choice. πŸ˜‰ I hope he proves us wrong because I'm a Liverpool fan, but I don't think he's needed and would worry massively if he's intended to be 2nd choice out and out. :I

He is one for now and many years to come. I doubt origi and Sinclair are ready to be relied on at the top level the way ings is. One or both should go out on loan.

Has years ahead of him. Impressed me a lot last season in a very defensive Burnley team. Underrated and better than Austin and ulloa (guys that made a bigger splash with promoted teams) imo. At worst a should be a handy squad player, potentially could be more. Rodgers is a very good manager for developing young players too.

He was firmly second choice under Mourinho at Madrid, and no way would they pay £30m for a 27 year old second choice striker, nor would Higuain be happy being second choice again.

        Not sure about that.

Rotated with Benz for sure, less first choice in the latter parts but started 35 games in 11/12 and 28 in 12/13 all in the league.

Injuries would have played a part, and the squad was rotated when playing against weaker opposition, but Higuain was definitely behind Benzema, and rightly so.

So you think him getting 35 and then 28 games wont impact on Costa when Jose plays with one striker?

            Of course he will!

rotation ahoy... makes both options weaker

No, it certainly would impact on Costa if it happened, my point was that this is grade A transfer rumour nonsense!

Higuain is linked to everybody under the sun seemingly every window, and I don't think he's even that good!
