The draw for the first round of the 2019/20 FFS Cup FFS Cup

The fourth round draw for the Fantasy Football Scout Cup III, sponsored by Paddy Power, has been made today as promised, and can be viewed right here. Don’t get used to the luxury of almost two days notice however, as the next three gameweek’s are in quick succession. Survive that and your into the quarter-finals…

A look at round four first though, and first out of the hat is the tie between King Eric and Roger, with the latter holding a slender four point lead overall.

Last weeks top-scorer, and 62nd in the world, Ann_der_roo has top 4k opponent the Mozmeister. Ann_der_roo will be hoping to avoid going the way of our previous top-scorers, who have both already bitten the dust.

FFS Cup I champ donnellyc (sitting a modest 180k in the world) will once again be thanking the stars with a seemingly easy tie against 519,175th overall Manif.

Scout representative Granville will also be confident in winning his tie against Chris81, who is perhaps lucky to still be in the tournament after two red arrows on the bounce.

Elsewhere, Mark’s conqueror tippmann is still going strong and he faces livnal, Soup or Man has a tricky away tie against camdiggy, and Spooney takes on the infamous bill badger.

All ties to be played over GW11. As always the top-scorer in the round will receive a free £25 bet courtesy of sponsors Paddy Power.

Good luck to all 64 fantasy managers battling it out this weekend.

this malouda injury is very confusing. he pretty much sprints off the pitch when subbed against blackburn (the game he apparently gets the knock) and he was out training today, yet he's definitely ruled out the liverpool game. want to make a decision but also would never want to miss out on malouda in back to back home games.

Malouda trained. Would be so funny if tevez, nani, malouda, fabs all played the weekend. All this fussing for nothing

I'm presuming he meant training with the first team. He wouldn't be out doin that with a twisted ankle, he'd be in the gym or swimming pool

no mind games. malouda is out of the game. he wasn't full trainin, but he was still doing stuff with the ball. i mean i'm confused as to how bad the injury is seeing him run off the pitch against blackburn and him looking pretty normal today. i guess if he's not 100% and they've got kalou he shouldn't play. an ancelotti update by tuesday will be crucial

They got a game in the week don't forget so its not out of the question for him to be training without being available for the weekend.

I would expect you to be able to field 10 outfield players at the weekend so no need to make any changes.

As a gut feel, I think you have too little in defence which a Berbatov downgrade after the Wolves match will allow you to fund an improvement with a second free transfer if held.

I haven't had my final team set this early in a long time!

    Final team:
Habsi ( predicting 0-0 for the blackburn vs wigan game)
    Zhirkov-Lars Jacobsen (westham cleansheet)-Salgado
Nasri-Silva-Nani (hope he plays!) - MILIJAS (is going to rape united!)
    Balotelli-Drogba-Bent

    Any suggestions?
    Big points this weekend?

Is Fabianski in for the long haul? I am thinking of bringing him for Krul and he rotates nicely with Jaski.

    Thoughts would be appreciated.

He just let 2 in for loss in CL and Wenger gave them a bit of stick for it,but then the alternative is Almunia when his elbow's better.

A bit harsh. Fabianski was fairly good yesterday and for my money he looks the part. But that's been said about plenty of young keepers where managers may be nervous about experience.

Yeah that's what I meant Manif.

I still think O'Shea is first choice and think Bosingwa will be once he's eased back in.

Ivanovic would make more sense for a "tough" away game, but 3 games in 1 week? Clueless lol.

Well I was thinking Jara > Alex. Alex has Liverpool but the chances of Chelsea keeping a CS is always there.

For Ethers... Arteta seems to be being mentioned a lot. Cahill is also one to consider.

After the game VDV said it wasn't a serious injury. He only played because these are the games nobody would want to miss and he went off as a precaution. He went on to say he was going to rest for a couple days because now he wants to become fully fit so he can play everything again.

and here is an accurate translation 😉

Sport1 said after the Champions League game with Tottenham Hotspur Internazionale Rafael van der Vaart. The midfielder was very pleased with the 3-1 win.

Van der Vaart was again of great value to The Spurs. "Luka Modric was a great action and gave them the ball great. I shot it well inside, "said Van der Vaart on 1-0.

The rest remained in the locker room after the International because of an injury. "For this sort of event would you risk it, but after the first half I could not continue," said the midfielder, who at the end of the interview was startled by a noisy neighbor.

I think the time of season has come to only check this site now and again... and begin making transfers the day or day before the deadlines.

Hopefully the sheep will be starting to fade away/forget/give up (delete as applicable) and price increases/decreases won't be as harsh.

Over 2 million play this game. Granted this site is getting big but probably only has an impact/influence of about 0.1% of tranfers in/out in the grand scheme of things. Increases/decreases will continue to be harsh if not harsher in the future. I may even play the money game for a new challenge next year for instance.

My opponent has a very similar team to myself but with Malouda and no Fabregash. That well could be his move this gameweek meaning we're scrapping for a point here or there from the few differentials.

anyone agree with Mark that it could be either walcott or nasri starting and not both this weekend? Walcott hasnt been used as much as nasri recently really has he, im thinking nasri might be given a rest and as such im looking at getting arteta back in for nasri for my freebie this week.

If I had to guess, I'd say Arshavin and Nasri will start this weekend, with Walcott off the bench (possibly for Arsh who is regularly substituted). Then Walcott to start next midweek.

Arsh should start having missed last night's game, and Nasri is just too hot to drop.

Can you really see Nasri being rested? After last week's close call against Wolves I can't see Wenger risking it. Take each game as it comes.

i can see him being rested personally. in the absense of fabregas/walcott/diaby with injury and wilshere with suspension nasri has come straight in after his own injury and played every game going. with wilshere back and walcott chomping on the bit i don't think wenger would have any hesitation in giving nasri a little breather

I reckon Nasri and Arshavin will start wide and Theo will come on for Nasri to give him a rest or for Arshavin coz he'll probably be playin shots at usual, then maybe Walcott will start the next game I reckon.

In short, with Fab and Song likely to play most games theres 3 spots for Diaby, Denilson, Wilshere, Rocsicky, Arshavin, Walcott & Bendtner, I personally wouldn't go near any!

My question is do you risk playing the big guns who are doubts, assuming that if they dont play then your subsitute comes in or do you just play your subsitute.

    This applies to
    1) Nani?
    2) Fab?
    3) VDV?
    4) Tevez?
    5) Odem
    6) Essien
    7) Malouda (Def Out)

    etc!

    what you guys think?

nani is pretty much out, but no reason not to have him in your starting 11. if hes fit, hel play but there is unlikely to be a situaion where he gets little minutes so put him in
      fab same

on the opposite end, malouda who is definitely out (i only found this out, still reeling) well, no harm leaving him in either!

Yeah at most he will play 2 games, one for Malouda against Liverpool then Anelka or Drogba might get a rest in the next 2 and Kalou could come in for one of them.

I had been confident (we do best against Aus compared to the other Southern teams), but just looking at the team now. We've got a good 9 and 10, but the rest of the backs are bit sellotaped together. Front and second row look good.

I think we'll put up a good fight, but a couple of mistakes may be costly. We've got some inexperience out there.
