With the clamour for “Rate My Team” opinions ramping up, we thought we’d not only provide a place to collate such requests, but also allocate a window and some FFS team members to address them.

The first Fantasy Football Scout Rate My Team Surgery will take place this evening with myself and Jonty joined by an array of moderators and contributors in a bid to answer the first batch of Rate My Team queries and player pick questions.

What’s more, for the later surgeries, we’ve recruited some real experts to help us out.

Next week’s sessions are provisionally booked in for Wednesday and Friday and we’re lining up a cast of former Fantasy Premier League champions to join us in giving their views on your queries.

We plan to run Google Hangouts for part of the session, allowing you to drop in and listen to the variety of nonsense being discussed as we go through the threads.

Tonight’s surgery is booked in for 9pm until 11pm UK time and we’ll be posting an article to host your queries an hour before we get online.

Keep an eye out for the article which will appear in the community section this evening.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Off to America for a few weeks this weekend so all thoughts and opinions on my final team would be greatly appreciated!!

    Pant - Hennessey

    Azpi - Koscielny - Huth - Francis - Prodl

    Hazard - Ozil - Eriksen - Hendo - Wanyama

    Rooney - Benteke - Sakho

    - Huth Francis Prodl as a 3 way rotation (All 6foot2 plus so decent attacking threat +good fixtures)
    - Wanyama to warm the bench

    Few things I'm pondering....

    - Not keen on Hendo but what better options are there for 7 mil or less...?
    - Is benching Sakho for Francis gameweek 1 madness? (Sakho = arsenal away, Francis = Villa at home)
    - Ivan and Siggy or Azpi and Ozil (Current) ?

Thanks a lot guys, I'll be sure to do some ratings my self in return!!

Chadli, Milner, and Tadic would be your main other 7m options. I like Chadli and Milner but it's preference really.

I wouldn't ever bench one of my strikers in a 3-4-3 no matter the competition

Azpilcueta and Ozil for me but both are decent enough

cheers man, not keen on chadli as I have Eriksen and prefer hendo to milner. Tadic could be a possiblity....

If you like Henderson then stick with him, he's as good a choice as Tadic, go with your gut.

Second piece of advice - close down FFS, close down FPL and go enjoy America.

      Sure, no problem!

      GK = Good! Nice!

DEF = Good, even if i don't rate Chelsea with their fixtures. 3 way rotation is good, but I like some spread with a 5.0 somewhere.

MID = Good. Don't like Eriksen, but he is proven and will come good. Just not a popular option if you want to raise team value. I would consider changing him. Mane is also a great option. Wanyama might drop because of massive ownership. Hendo is fine, could swap to Milner or Chadli who are also both fine!

FOR = Also really good. What are you thoughts on Giroud / Pelle? I like Sakho as an option, just the first fixture against Arsenal that is troubling me and tempting me to go 3-43 or 3-5-2 by spreading the budget around but most players don't bother to do this. Benching him is fine, but I don't know if Francis is the way to go. I would stick in that case.

All in all, great team! Consider a few swaps here and there, but you covered most good teams and got the best players while filling up some other places with value pick such as Sakho, Panti, Hendo and your def rotation works on paper.

      8/10 at least!

My team looks like this atm. I am debating whether to bring in Haz and the Theo/Giroud choice keeps annoying me.

      Panti - Hennesy
Kos - Clyne - Jenks (or SOU for that matter) - Huth - Martin
      Cesc - Wally - Ozil - Milner - Bolasie
      Rooney - Pelle - Sakho

      Care to rate?

      Have a nice trip!

      1. Daaf
        • 10 Years

And would you be so kind and compare the squad from above with this one:

        Panti - Hennesey
        Azpi - Mert - Clyne - Cedric - Huth
        Haz - Wally - Ozil - Mane - Milner
        Benteke - Sakho - Wilson

I suppose people find number two too weak up front, but i'm curious if there is a case to be made to buy light upfront since there seem to be quite a few good options and lots of premium midfielders. What do you think?

          Thanks for the feedback!

I definitely prefer the first team out of the two. I like the Bolasie pick but does have tough fixtures. I did have Cabaye for a while but I'm going to wait and see how far forward he plays.
Can't fault the strike force other than I'm personally not a massive fan of Pelle. Does Mane play number 10?

Koscielny with 2 rotation keepers is 9.0 add 6.0 so 15.0m

Cech plus Hennesey is 9.5m plus 4.5m for your stoke or norwich defender that would have been your GK and youve saved a million and got your route in to the arsenal defence.

    What am i missing ?

It can go both ways tbh.

It's not about how many people sell a player, but the percentage of their ownership.

Wanyama is tricky to predict, because he's owned by most on here, but is also the default cheap midfield for the 'casual', as he got the most points of a 4.5 last season.

I think he's the best 4.5, which I'm more interested in that losing 0.1 or 0.2m.

Nice fixtures? WAT first game up is very good but 5 tricky fixtures after that means Everton are at the bottom of the ticker.
Pelle/Benteke better options from a fixtures point of view.
Though Lukaku could still score against City, Southampton, Chelsea, Spurs I suppose.

Pelle in that case if you don't have Mane.

The biggest question in my lineup is: A) Rooney + Fab or B) Benteke + Hazard

I already have Costa, so option A would allow me to drop Rooney>Benteke then upgrade Costa>Aguero

Having looked at a few RMTs I'm surprised by the amount of people backing sterling and Benteke when both have to adjust to a new team.

Sterling has impressed and I'd imagine will prosper initially without and with Kun (winning lots of penos),

What are people's thoughts on going straight in with aguero?

    1. Gunners n' Roses
      • 12 Years
      10 years, 6 months ago

Not a bad idea at all. Can come off the bench and make an impact. Keep solid, if not spectacular bench backup just in case. And saves you a huge headache on how to get him in later.

I was just about to ask how many are going without aguero? But this could be a viable tactic
      The Pros are:
      No restructuring needed
      No Wildcard needed
      Can downgrade easy

      The Cons are:
      He might be injured
He might take a while to return to fitness affecting form and time on pitch.

    GW1 considered only

    A) Hazard + Costa + 4.5 bench mid
    B) Hazard + Fabregas + 4.5bencb ST (352)
    C) Fabregas + Costa + cash

If Costa is injured... Falcao is likely to start, right? Think he'll bag a couple of goals?

      1. Gunners n' Roses
        • 12 Years
        10 years, 6 months ago

Sure, put a couple of assists in there as well, with 3 bonus points. He also took over from De Gea for a penalty and saved it. Falcao becomes bandwagon.

Seriously, not very likely but remotely possible.
