After yesterday’s disappointing start, many Fantasy managers will be looking for some of Sunday’s heavy hitters to come to the rescue.

A couple of 1.30pm kick-offs get us underway. Community Shield winners Arsenal welcome West Ham to the Emirates before Steven McClaren takes charge of Newcastle for the first time in the top-flight as in-form Southampton roll up to St James’ Park.

Stoke play host to big-spending Liverpool in the late kick-off, with Brendan Rodgers’ side looking to immediately avenge their 6-1 mauling at the Britannia in the final league fixture of 2014/15.

    Not my best day...

    Arsenal losing was the last leg of my 5 team accumulator - cost me £100+

    Coutinho's late goal cost me £35, £80 in free bets and my Butland clean sheet.

      My biigest concern is Rooney to be honest, I thought United were garbage and he wasnt much better. I have other concerns but when he is 10.5 I want him and United to perform, I have Arsenal players but for some reason I have more faith in them.

      Im not. It was basically a gw1 punt especially with Giroud and Sanchez and maybe soon another striker preferred from Wenger. I was planning a wildcard anyway, so no reason for me to keep him.

    Coates to gomez looks a no brainer. Got the confirmation I need that Sunderland are sh!te n their defense is a rotation zone.. and if gomez is chosen for his debut vs stoke away and he survived it can only mean a good thing for his playing time

    Unless you have a good bench and a lot of patience I'd still think twice before getting Gomez. It could obviously work but the reality is that he was the weakest and most nervous of the Liverpool defenders tonight in my opinion and got his assist and bonus points for a short sideways pass miles out by the sideline.

    Why don't keepers get saves from crossed free kicks? Charlie Adam free kick / cross today, great save by mignonlet on 63 mins and no save credited. Surely this needs to be addressed as more and more teams aim long free kicks at the back post as a shot.

    I was assuming (and I vaguely remember that I read it as well) that goalkeepers had 1 point for every 2 saves this season. But now, I see that goalkeepers are having 1 point for every 3 saves.

    Was I assuming wrong or did FPL change the rules in the meantime?
