The EA SPORTS PPI scores for Gameweek five are now available and the Fantasy Premier League bonus points have been awarded. Here’s a full breakdown of how they map out match by match. Look out for our round-up of the key factors that contributed to the awards over at the Scout column on the FPL site later today.

Aston Villa 1 Newcastle 1
Best 3, Agbonlahor 2, Tiote 2

Leon Best’s strike for the visitors was enough to see him fetch the 3 bonus points, with team-mate Cheik Tiote and Villa’s Agbonlahor returning identical PPI scores, the honours for the 2 bonus were shared. That denied Danny Simpson – he came in next in the PPI rankings.

Bolton 1 Norwich 2
Pilkington 3, Barnett 2, Morison 1

Anthony Pilkington and Leon Barnett grabbed the plaudits for Norwich at the Reebok and duly claimed the bonus points here – Pilkington’s goal and Barnett’s resolute defensive display earning them recognition. Steve Morison’s performance helped him earn a single bonus, with Martin Petrov Bolton’s leading performer trailing David Fox, Bradley Johnson and Russell Martin in the PPI stakes.

Blackburn 4 Arsenal 3
Yakubu 3, N’Zonzi 2, Arteta 1

Yakubu’s brace earns him the top overall EA Sports PPI score of the Gameweek with 47 – making him a clear front-runner for the maximum FPL bonus in this match. Steve N’Zonzi grabs the 2, with Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta earning a single bonus point for his goal and overall performance. The Spaniard edged out Junior Hoilett, Scott Dann and Gervinho who all notched up strong PPI scores.

Everton 3 Wigan 1
Jagielka 3, Hibbert 2, Vellios 2

As expected, Phil Jagielka earns the maximum here courtesy of his equalising goal and all-round defensive display. Tony Hibbert’s fine cross for the Vellios header has him collect the 2 and, with an identical PPI to the Greek, he shares the award. That meant that Royston Drenthe missed out on earning a single bonus point – he ranked next in the PPI scores for David Moyes’ men.

Fulham 2 Man City 2
Aguero 3, Murphy 2, Zamora 1

Sergio Aguero gathers another batch of bonus with his brace of goals for visiting City. Fulham’s fightback sees both goalscorers – Danny Murphy and Bobby Zamora earn recognition, with Clint Dempsey just outside the reckoning.

Man United 3 Chelsea 1
Nani 3, Young 2, Smalling 1

Few surprises here – Nani’s goal and assist were enough to see him as a clear PPI leader, leaving team-mates Ashley Young and Chris Smalling in his wake. Jonnny Evans and Wayne Rooney ranked next for the home side, with Jose Boswinga Chelsea’s top PPI performer on the day.

Sunderland 4 Stoke City 0
Gardner 3, Bramble 2, Larsson 1

As expected, three of Sunderland’s scorers dominate the PPI and FPL bonus. Craig Gardner narrowly edged out team-mates Titus Bramble and Seb Larsson, with Wes Brown ranking next for the victorious home side. Peter Crouch was beaten Stoke’s top PPI performer.

Swansea 3 West Brom 0
Lita 3, Dyer 2, Sinclair 1

A goal and an assist were enough to see Leroy Lita earn the maximum from this match – Scott Sinclair, whilst matching Lita’s output, presumably suffering a PPI penalty for several efforts off target. Nathan Dyer sandwiched these two for bonus points, as Swansea ran riot at the Liberty. Joe Allen and Ashley Williams were just outside the top three PPI rankings with Nicky Shorey the highest rated performer for the Baggies.

Tottenham 4 Liverpool 0
Adebayor 3, Modric 2, Defoe 1

A superb display, capped by two well-taken goals, saw Adeabyor amass an impressive PPI score in the win over Liverpool. No surprises to see him claim the maximum here then, with fellow goalscorers – Luka Modric and Jermain Defoe – picking up the remainder. Benoit Assou-Ekotto can count himself unlucky to miss out on bonus having put in a strong shift, while Jamie Carragher was the top PPI scorer for the forlorn visitors.

Wolves 0 QPR 3
Faurlin 3, Barton 2, Wright-Phillips 1

Faurlin’s fine strike for QPR’s second goal has him collect the three bonus, although, with Barton earning 2 – we might even see a change here. Barton appeared to assist Faurlin’s goal with both Wolves clearances occurring inside the penalty area before the Argentine converted his shot. Wright-Phillips picked up a single bonus as reward for another encouraging display in the free-role.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Current team for week 6:

    Given (Vorm)
    Bosingwa, Kompany, Brown, Simpson (NTaylor)
    Young, Silva, Cabaye
    Rooney, Dzeko, Suarez

    2 frees, 0.3 bank.

Thinking of doing Young & Brown -> Nani & Gabbidon with my frees this week.

This leaves 1.1 in the bank for me to do Dzeko & Suarez -> Aguero & Adebayor next week, for a 4pt hit.

    Is this a good idea?

I thought so, and could still be convinced that it is. My main arguments in favour are that Nani seems more consistent week-to-week (Young was pretty hot and cold last year too), and it frees up a vital .3 or .4 which I'd need to get Aguero and Adebayor..

No mate....I like your team as it is and I would rather Young to Nani away from home against a no nonsense Stoke back 4!

Plus the Brown transfer makes no sense at all, he's cheap as chips and has a nice game against Norwich, granted it's away but after tearing Stoke up I am sure they would be up for it. IMO.

you're getting to the tipping point where allocating even more funds to your strikeforce *may* improve it, but is *likely* to reduce your returns elsewhere

I too am trying to get Aguero in, but with your front 3 you could seriously rake in some decent points with the games they have this week. Maybe plan to get Aguero in after this gw.

          Maybe Dzeko>>>>Sturridge (This week)
          Suarez>>>Aguero

It's only my opinion though dude, if you are feeling the need to transfer then good luck to you.

I would love to have 3 super strikers but I found it seriously weakened the rest of my team.

I was planning to save my wild card to get a few decent price rises and slowly improve my teams value (99.7) but im faced with 5 potential drops this week in -

    Holt
    Nzogbia
    Bent
    Bardsley
    Cole

Would it be worthwhile WCn and getting rid of these players before the drop? I do have a good squad for this GW with 9 playing at home, but im cautious of the team value. what should I do?

Assists count towards f*ck all PPI, since Larsson and Gardner both scored a goal, but Larsson's TWO extra assists still weren't able to get him 3 BP, as Gardner cleaned up.

RVP missed clear cut chances in game against Blackburn, morevoer he is lacking support from midfield.

I would still prefer Augeroa to RVP.

I NEED Aguero to start getting rested. I NEED Tevez to play AND start doing stuff.

At the moment, with Tevez and Balotelli both being pricks, it is making life easy for Mancini and Aguero.

Aguero seems to be Mancini's Rooney - i.e talisman and will play most games. I've wildcarded him in, just because it'll continue to be torture watching Romario mk II play and not have him in the team.

Having him and Rooney means cheapies ahoy in midfield and defence though.

I've made the decision to totally step out of the Tevez/Aguero/Dzeko merry-go-round. Too much fuss and worry about rotation. I know this will bite me on the arse occasionally but feck it.

I was 99% sure that Tevez would start this GW and the fecker didn't. Pissed off with Citeh strikers. Whichever one you don't have is going to be the one who scores 20+ points.

I know what you mean, but based on what we've seen so far i'm inclined to agree with AP's assessment above - Aguero seems to be the most likely to play at the moment, and also seems to be most likely to score.

I guess I'd also feel alot more confident captaining Aguero over Dzeko, and rivals having him is killing me at the moment.

It goes without saying that as soon as I make the switch Dzeko will go wild again though, probably RVP too.

5 points is okay, not when Aguero is bagging 13 though, or the week before 2 compared to 17, that's a difference of 23 before thinking about the fact that my main two rivals both captained him!

Selfish players are golden for FPL. I might try and hold fire at least while Arsenal's fixtures hold up in the foolish hope RVP might steal me some points back. Will be ditching Walcott if thats the case though - I don;t know what I was thinking!

I'd like Mata this week, but it would mean shipping out RVP and someone else to raise funds=8 point hit!

Problem with points hits is the player has to have to do 2 lots of something ie: 2 goals, 2 assists or bonus to firstly make up the points hit and then make a gain.

Think Arteta and RVP could easily get a goal at home playing Bolton who have been terrible away from home?
