Update on that horrific facial injury by one of the young lads in my team from last season that I posted about on here. He returns to play his first game tomorrow after six months out. I really, really want him to have a good game and come out unscathed.

phew. i've been involved in breaking 2 players legs before, and it's horrific to be that guy. once was while dummying a cross and the guy just went over as he tried to turn and broke his ankle, and i heard it go, nearly puked. another time was a 5050 all in during a rough game and we both got injured but he broke his leg. total scumbag though and i didn't feel as as bad about that one

    Butland
    Azpi Kolarov Francis
    Sanchez(c) Pedro Silva Maherz
    Augero(c) Diouf Wilson
    McCarthy Westwood Gomez Richards

1 FT which am planning to save, anything am missing? Bench order is okay?

Also would you captain a player and play the goalkeeper he's facing or that's just points lost before the Gw even starts? .

    Any advice peeps?

I have already used my trade this week in bringing in Scott Sinclair for Jordan Ibe. Was considering selling off Pelle to Gomis and taking a -4 hit. Any other thoughts?

Currently sitting on 187 points, Wild Card played. 1.3 in the bank.

    Schmeichel
    Kolarov/Darmian/Gomez/Cedric/Richards

Main reason for considering the sale is fixture wise, Swansea have a better run than the Saints. If he hadn't scored and assisted against Norwich he'd have been gone a week ago 😀

Ha, you make a good point. Just thinking about where best to throw my cash 🙂

Pelle vs West Brom is a chance of a goal anyway, after that week things get much tougher, with Man Utd, Swansea, Chelsea, and then Liverpool all in the next 5.

Yes, this is probably the key point WAIT this week, if it means only making .5 because of another Gomis price rise, then so beit.

I expect Southampton will start to gel soon there are just a lot of decent striker options in that 6.5 to 8.5 range.

    Thoughts on my WC team?

    Myhill
    Kolarov - Shaw - Francis
    Sanchez - Pedro - Sterling - Mahrez
    Aguero - Gomis - Wilson

    Butland - Sinclair - Cathcart - Ward

I'm just not that confident with Watford and Bournemouth defenders.....

For Benteke's replacement I'm thinking about Gomis.

Not bad, I would look to get out Mane though and if Hazard keeps failing to get returns you might as well save 7 mill and pick up Westwood. Same front 3 as me and all 3 have excellent fixtures until you wc. defense needs some work though.

I knee jerked Shelvey out to Sako, rejecting Ayew in the process. Will the lack of Swansea come back to bite me? Currently thinking of upgrading my 5th to Ayew after next gameweek.

Never thought that I would say this but right now IMO a Swansea player is a must. Ayew preferably. I like the Sako pick but instead of bringing him in for City I would have brought Ayew in this week for Watford then Sako for Tottenahm. Sadly I don't expect much from Spurs at home to Palace and I expect Sako to be a large part of a Palace win.

This is the logic that I thought through and rejected. Watford are defensively quite solid at home, and kept City out for a whole half in a game where many expected them to concede at least 4.

Meanwhile, I think the City v Palace game is going to be a corker with many goals. City have kept four CS but they're not impregnable, plus Pardew is not the sort of manager to park the bus. If he wants to win he will need to use their significant attacking power.

That's 1% of your total points for the season.

Almost negligible and too much air time is spent discussing it.

    Have 2 FTs, am considering:

Darmian to Shaw - get rid of YC magnet.
Payet to Ayew - might leave it until after GW5.
Kompany to Kolarov - attacking returns.
Redmond to Westwood - Frees up funds.

Thoughts please? Strongly considering doing the first two, less keen on the other two.

Darmian only got 4 yellow cards in 46 games last season, so calling him a card magnet is a bit harsh. It's a transfer I'd maybe do on a wildcard, but I think you have better options for free transfers and Darmian may even turn out to be the better option.

If you want Ayew you may as well get him in now for the Watford game IMO.

I see no problems with Redmond to Westwood if he's going to be your bench midfielder.
