In a new series of Members articles, we look to examine the progress of proven Fantasy talent, mining the Opta statistics and our own ICT Index to assess their progress so far and the likelihood of Fantasy profits in the future. The first player to fit the profile and come under scrutiny is Wolves’ Jamie O’Hara.

The former Spurs man has tested the patience of his Fantasy owners to the full so far this campaign- time after time he seems on the cusp of pulling out a substantial points haul, only to walk away with a blank. A miserly total of 14 Fantasy Premier League (FPL) points would suggest O’Hara is going missing in games for Wolves in the opening two months of the new campaign but closer analysis of his stats shows this is far from the case.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

I'll share my boring transfer plans with you:

      Krul Vorm
      Bos Warnock Ward Simpson Naylor
      Silva Young Jarvis Brunt Dyer
      Rooney RVP Adebayor

This week: Ward to Woodgate, Jarvis to Ramsey

Next week perhaps Warnock to Enrique or perhaps nothing.

      All frees.

I left work yesterday and on FISO Aguero was at -105% on Fiso so i assunmed he'd drop in the early hours but it seems this is not the case, these price drops/rises are a nightmare to follow this season.

Aguero will not drop so quickly as some people think... he's on a yellow flag at the moment. It means he can drop but it will take 2.5 times as much as it normally would if he wasn't flagged.

Well this is a pickle. Defensive selection dilemma.

For the next GW, who would anyone start (need 2) from

    Enrique (MU)
    Hutton (mci)
De Laet (SW .... but not been playing)
    RTaylor (TOT)

    Yuk Yuk Yuk.

Nah, because that would be for a hit. I'd want a guaranteed clean sheet for that. I've already brought Enrique in this week. Foolish you might think ahead of MU, and in many ways you'd be right. But I'd lost all confidence in Ward & the Wolves defense, so it seemed wise to get Enrique in before his price rise, as after MU he's got some nice fixtures. De Laet will be gone next week, very tempted to have a dander at Boyata, just want to make sure he plays the next game first.

Btw, if you have to play one of those I'd rule out Hutton because Man City will definitely score at least a couple at home to Villa. De Laet won't play which rules him out. Of a bad bunch, Ryan Taylor seems to be the best bet from a defensive point of view but I still expect them to concede against Spurs. Enrique seems unlikely to pick up anything defensively because Man Utd will probably score a couple, but then again they are at home and he has a chance of assisting a goal. I'd go Enrique.

Yeah, In my head Hutton was already out, so it was 2 of the other 3. At least theyre all at home. Normally, I'd expect to be able to play at least 2 of Bosingwa, Hutton and Enrique, then if one of them has a bad fixture, put in a cheapie who's at home.

Boyata is tempting, as Boltons defence has been rubbish so far, but theyve got good fixtures for a while (which they havent had so far), and if he's getting forward, could grab something.

              Cheers for the tips.

I'd pick Enrique and R Taylor to play.

I'd also sell DeLaet, you could get Barnett in if you wanted to stay with a Norwich player. Alternatively as the Milkman said N Taylor is another good option.

I don't know why Song hasn't been mentioned of late to be honest, yes he's a defensive midfielder, but at the moment, he always seems to be in the right place at the right time, I'd take the gamble on him if I were taking it on any Arsenal player at the moment! Not that I'm getting Arsenal coverage this week...

Yeah his quote from the article earlier this week he basically states that he hates that position (wing) as he would be required to track back and actually mark player. A high douchebaggery radar signature for real. Glad I´m staying with Modric, hopefully he´s done bitching.

How can I fit Aguero or RVP into this side:

    Vorm, Krul
Bosingwa, Kompany, Jose Enrique, Woodgate, S Taylor
    Nani, Silva, VDV, Ramsey, Dyer
    Rooney, Sturridge, Agbonlahor

1 free trade and no cash in bank.

Yea there's no reason you can't play this way with 5 decent defenders, but I then you have to think through your rotation very carefully as you'll have a selection nightmare every week. I always feel a bit more comfortable having a couple of players I can bench most weeks and spend elsewhere.

In my opinion Bos / Kompany / Enrique / 4.0 / 4.0 is already a bordering on expensive - to have two >4.5 defenders in addition to the big three is probably overkill. To bring in anouther big striker I would recommend downgrading two of the defenders and one of Nani / Silva / VdV - and probably VdV of that three.

I don't think you need to wildcard. Just work out what your normal formation is going to be and downgrade the people you expect you're going to be benching most weeks. There's no have-to about Rooney or RVP.

On reflection, I think you need to change one of the answer options. Whether a foreign manager is more successful than a British manager can depend on a number of external factors and is an entirely separate issue from whether they have more ability (coaching ability, qualifications, dietary and tactical awareness etc.) than a British coach.

So the answer 'Neutral (same ability)' in Questions 1,3 and 6 gives rise to a potentially misleading interpretation, and I couldn't select this option. Just having 'Neutral' as a choice would be much less tendentious.

    Gone for a different team than most;
    Vorm Krul
Kompany Enrique Jones Simpson De Laet
    Silva Mata VDV Nani Dyer
    Suarez Adebayor Sturridge.
    Got 1.0 in the bank.
I know I have no Aguero or Rooney but it has really paid off the last 3 weeks and I'm sticking by until GW11 WC (if it seems needed)
If Cleverley comes back this week and looks good, I may get him in for Dyer with the extra cash, which would leave me with 3 Man U, 2 Chelsea, Tottenham, Man City, Liverpool.
Can play the main defenders, mids and strikers each week, and rotate Cleverley and Sturridge depending who plays who and if they look like they are starting.
    Any thoughts appreciated... 🙂

Arsenal have nice fixtures too, do Mata to Ramsey / Ramires, choose either one of VDV / Ade and you could get RVP
AVL have easy fixtures coming, so Agbonlahor is a cheap option

I like Young (and Welbeck of course) if Cleverly comes in a starting role paired with Anderson, which is highly likely. Team looks strong and quite evenly dispersed. Lack of Roonage might hurt I´m afraid especially against Pool, just a feeling though, no supporting trends or evidence.

Ordinarily I would agree with you, but Steve Jobs was a legend. Without him, that mouse in your hand wouldn't exist, you couldn't buy songs for 99c on the internet, and personal computers would probably still cost a small fortune, amongst many other things. F**king cancer.

Gonna have to disagree with you there. Jobs hated the mouse...he wanted everyone to have touch pads and touch screens. And his computers do still cost a fortune. Have a look at the macbook pro etc prices compared to say a Dell and yo umight think again. Sad anyone dies of cancer though. but I'm not going to put this business man with dodgy practices regarding child labour in developing countries on a pedastal.

Well he did perfect both the way people interacted with computers and the quality of these devices. Yes most Apple products are expensive, I don't own anything created by them. However, I've used loads of different laptops in my job and I'd always pick a Macbook over any other product as they're the most reliable. Very interesting article though, good find. (On a side note, I'm not defending Apple, but I'm sure well known brands use child labour...)

What pisses me off about RIP messages on the likes of Facebook is when the person in question is someone famous for being well known. For example, Amy Winehouse. Before she died there would only be comments saying what a mess she is, then when she passes away, she was an amazing lady with the voice of an angel.

True. And I'd personally rather see an outpouring of - partly insincere - grief and praise than people taking the opportunity provided by his death to heap scorn on him, deservedly or not. It's poor form to speak ill of the dead, regardless of your opinion of someone.

So, Tim Cook > Gates in my Fantasy Technology Investment league worth a $40,000,000 hit? I'm not sure Apple will carry on scoring points now they've lost their captain but I'd have to find some cash to get Gates in, maybe move one of my Google guys out for a Nokia executive (they're cheap at the moment but I reckon they'll rise again).

Think I may need to see a doctor - my kneejerk reaction seems to be misfiring.

My plan all last week was to play my wildcard on Saturday night but I talked myself out of it and now my team has gone down £0.4m in value and the team I would have had is now out of my reach! Should pay more attention to FISO really but some days there just isn't time. Doesn't look like I'm about to lose too much more value from my team immediately, should I now hang onto my wildcard or cut my losses and play it now?

He's traditionally a very popular selection on here but he's in a little price bracket of his own this year and I suppose that's dampening the enthusiasm somewhat as it means it takes more transfers to bring him in and it's more difficult he's worth the extra 1.5 over the likes of Silva / Nani etc.

Can I get opinions on my WC team please
    Given/Ruddy
    Bosingwa/Enrique/Kompnay/Simpson/Barnett
    Nani/Silva/Petrov/Ramsey/Fox
    Agbon/Rooney/Suarez
There are obvious space fillers but cant see a way of replacing anyone to get funds to improve the weaker links
    any opinions appreciated
