Should be OK but sensitive to a turn in fixtures. If you have funds to upgrade, say, Richardson to Dier I think you'd end up more comfortable and having to make less fts.

Probability for Arsenal to score - x%
Probablity for Man City to score - y%

If , y is more than x , better to have 2 City players , if x is more than y , better to have 2 Arsenal players , nothing else works out mathematically acc. to your logic

And arsenal don't score and city score twice, when you play to Arsenal mid?
My logic is simple, spread it evenly on more teams than investing high in 2 players from same team in same position.

Vardy is such a tough one to transfer out, hes scoring seemingly at will, but i want to get kane in.
    whats everyone thinking longterm?

my idea was for this week go vardy and tadic > kane and gosling, but im finding it hard to pull the trigger on vardy out

Depends on the rest of your attack. I have been considering the same move (Vardy-Kane), but allready having Aguero, Lukaku and Sanchez, Kane will probably not get the armband even once the next 8 weeks.

I had Stanislas all week, but changed last minute to Gosling. Kind of regretting it now, but long term Stanislas may not be nailed on. I want a 5th midfielder who is nailed on, especially with all the rotation over the christmas period!

I guess its hard having a 13mil striker that cant play for 90 min and always gets injured, when ighalo and vardy are getting crazy good returns and much much cheaper.

I got him in mysel before the pool game and was pleased with the goal, will give it a few weeks but might go back to ighalo/vardy as have kane/lukaku anyway. Probably should have waited on Aguero until after Christmas.

However, like I said will just leave it a few weeks and see what happens.

How does this look going into the busy schedule?

    Lloris, McCarthy
    Kolarov, Coleman, Moreno, Dawson, Evans
    KDB, Sanchez, Barkley, Mahrez, Stanislas
    Aguero, Lukaku, Vardy

What would you recommend? Thinking save the free then DeBryne to Stanislas and Wilson to Kane

Morning gang. Set for next week? 1 ft 2.2 banked. Tempted to ditch Richards for Dier of Spurs to improve squad.

          Butland

          Moreno VVD Monreal

          Barkley Coutinho Ozil KDB

          Kane Lukaku Ighalo

          Ruddy, Sterling, Richards, Targett

So 199k to 440k, what a week so far. At least if this kind of fall is possible, then a climb in the opposite direction is also very possible.

However, it is my own fault as last weekend I did something I never normally allow myself to do which was letting myself to get sucked into the weekend's post-match transfer trends on this site, ones which make you think you just HAVE to buy that certain player.

Normally I don't let this kind of thing happen as I usually try to ignore the transfer hysteria, but last weekend I did, thus making rash transfer decisions based on hype and hype alone, and I just paid for it ☹️

Vardy, Pelle, De Bruyne --> Aguero, Kane, Barkley (-12 hit)

I must say though that in spite of this shocking week my team is extremely strong now, in fact the strongest it's been all season. Hopefully it pays off long term.

you won't pay that hit off this week but a Kane goal or two would get you close.

City did look very strong the other day and KbD involved in a lot of their attacks.

might pay off long term but I think out of those 3 you will regret loosing KdB the most

I'm so annoyed if that pool team is correct. 55 points from 6 yesterday but no Phil means perez 1 point off the bench and big rival inexplicably put the arm band on benteke. This always happens, he's so lucky. He was supposed to not be able to play again so soon!?

Fantasy Football Scout daily hot topic

          3-4-3 or 3-5-2 for Christmas

Has a strong front three won the day when it comes to Christmas fixture pile up planning. Are the likes of Kane, Lukaku, Vardy, Ighalo and perhaps Aguero when he regains form still too much to warrant a five man midfield?

Or is a strong midfield still preferable, with Barkley and Mahrez both viable options alongside heavyweights such as KDB, Ozil and Sanchez.

But what of the fifth midfield Cherries, with Ritchie, Gosling, King and Stanislas all putting forward great cases for inclusion for those opting for three up top (although keep an eye on suspensions for one or two).

And for those who turned down the chance for a strong five man midfield by hoarding their Aguero cash, while he was injured. Were you disappointed to have held back for so long only to see once again the far cheaper likes of Ighalo, Lukuku and Vardy outscore him? Will this trend continue over Christmas?

3-4-3 with Aguero, Kane and Vardy upfront is what I'm on. Aguero better come good soon. I'm planning on sticking with a 3-4-3

Not sure, can't fit Lukaku in though. I'll be praying for a blank every week. Don't even have Barkley yet, but I am considering Ayew > Barkley this week.

I'd definitely do that if I had Ayew. But I have other motives there - almost all my mini league leaders got Barkley in two weeks ago and that's something I may tactically have to address as he looks primed for points for the forseeable. He's definitely won the Barkley v Deulofeu debate in my eyes.

That's why I made the move this week as I knew it'd be one of the few weeks where I'd choose to play Josh King. So tough making a move for a fifth midfielder knowing that you want to bench them. I'd do it when similar occurs for you when one of your other players is benchable and Bournemouth look like they have a reasonable fixture.

Ta. Was actually considering it this week as I had 2FT. Used one to do Pelle to Kane but then decided to use the other to get rid of Williams for Moreno as he was about to drop. Happy with that transfer but will have to hope for a bit of luck on the injuries front now

Jonty: get a fecking grip, man. None of us are ever doing 352 again. Waste of time and points on the bench all the time. Non-stop red arrows with 352.

Except those who got the five man midfield right in recent weeks have been laughing. I didn't myself, but the likes of Mahrez, Barkley, Ozil, KDB, possibly Sanchez....that would be a mighty five man midfield. I think a five man midfield all depends on whether Sanchez can ever be worth his money. Looks like KDB is worth keeping. All eyes on Sanchez this afternoon for those still with a five man midfield.

At the expense of Kane, Lukaku and Vardy?

Good luck trying to work out who to bench each week. Mahrez's 15 points sitting on the bench was enough for me.

                Silly idea.

No one in the Deadzone plays "that" formation.

What if the third striker is Ighalo though? When Watford's kind run end is he benchable during tough games?

Personally I favour 3-4-3 - its what I'm used to, plus 3-5-2 has failed me in recent weeks, but I know of plenty of others that used it to great effect recently.

Good to debate these things though and consider all options, even if one is not for you, or admittedly me either. 🙂

I've played 3-5-2 the whole season with an occasional 3-4-3. I'm currently top 2k.

            3-4-3.

Given their fixtures over that period, I wouldn't rely on a Bournemouth midfielder for anything more than bench cover for unexpected rotation//injury crises.

I still have my Aguero cash in the bank and my mid-price midfielders are ticking along reasonably well at the minute so I can't complain.

343 with a strong 5th midfielder (ayew/barkley/deulofeu/mahrez)... that of course means going without Aguero which I have been very willing to do this season. got burned once and profited every other time. I think i've won the aguero sweepstakes.

            3-4-3.
But an upgrade of Westwood to an attacking cheapie possobly King/Stanislas or even Morrison.
Making sure all bench are starters and having a solid 4th defender.

I've been using Ighalo and Ritchie to switch between the two. Getting hard to ignore just going with Ig though despite those fixtures.

I think for Christmas you have to add an extra player to your formation.

            For me, it's a question of 4-4-3 or 3-5-3!

At the moment I am looking at 3-5-3 with King being my 5th.

Why not switch between the two depending on fixtures? I think it's better to have a cheap third forward than a cheap fifth mid. The cheap forwards are much better than the cheap mids most years and this year is no exception.

              Posting again.

Just read the shambles of a hot topic. Aguero has started two games out of which he blanked in one and people said 'Aguero' has stopped firing?

The mods have lost the plot.

The key for me is Ighalo.

I've had him since gameweek 2 and this has alowed me to play a hybrid 3-5-2 / 3-4-3.

I managed to avoid benching any more than 5 or 6 points the whole season. After today I should be knocking on the door of the top 1000.

Most people on here don't have Ighalo because they are so obsessed with Vardy scoring every week.

Ighalo scores bigger than Vardy and is cheaper. He is fantasy Gold. Score points when you need him to and gives you money to pimp the rest of your team.

Hopefully you guys will get him in just when he starts to falter.

I'm tempted by a captaincy punt on Ramsey today in UFPL. Its either him, Hazard or Tekkers. Thoughts? Feeling a bit annoyed that I didn't go with my gut yesterday and get Bolasie on a loan

One rival has Firmino captain, other has Coutinho 🙂 But Coutinho probably won't feature at all anyway

Time for bed. How many points (including any bonus points) will Kane have scored when I wake up?

          A: Less than 2
          B: 2
          C: 3-6
          D: 6-10
          E: more than 10

          🙂

Thanks all. You give me confidence to go to dream that my captain matches or surpasses Lukaku's score! 😀

To all of those who got Kun in this week: Do not despair.

He was not a one-week punt. He was a long-term investment. His class will shine through and you will be rewarded for your loyalty to the Best Player In The League™.
