Today is all about friends and family. It’s about sharing those treasured moments whilst black and white films and laboured Christmas specials play out in the background.

Even so, we couldn’t let the day pass without popping by and wishing you and your families a very merry Christmas.

Im not sure if its been brought up or not, but I read lots of talk about how this is a strange season in FPL land. Has anyone scrubbed the data on the number of teams that have used their chips? Seems to me almost every time I look at a team history they are 2-3 chips in already. That would be some inspiring data for those of who have not used chips yet and have a ranking that is sub par for this time of year.

  Loads of people at the top have used their chips but I think too much is made of it. I've seen people with ranks of 500k think their chips will get them into the top 10k when in reality it'll probably get them 30 points max if you're lucky.

    If the chips are planned for dgw's I could see the tally being higher than that. A triple captain on a dgw player who only gets 60mins in both is now 12. I have never planned for a good bench and been able to leave 20+ points on my bench this season multiple times lol. I feel 30 is a little conservative and maybe a number like 50 is a realistic expectation.
    Now 50 points really comes down to perspective. If I am in the top 20k not as massive as if I am north of 800k lets say. 50 pts will take you from 4210 to 423 though 😉
    Just another leg on the FPL Game this season.
