Gameweek 24 delivers two final rolls of the dice before we retrain our sights on the weekend’s action. Everton cross swords with Newcastle United as they strive to card their first victory in six outings, whilst in the other 7.45 pm kick-off, Watford host a Chelsea outfit that’s not tasted defeat since Gameweek 16.

The Toffees’ attack flattered to deceive over the previous four Gameweeks, ranking joint-second-bottom for shots on target (11) and recording the second-worst shot accuracy (22.9%). Those Fantasy managers who’ve sourced attacking assets from Newcastle will certainly draw encouragement from the fact that no team has shipped more goals at home (22) than Everton. On that note, the Magpies placed top for shots inside the box (44) and second for shots on target (24) between Gameweeks 20-23, which bodes well for their trip to Goodison Park.

Chelsea are a different proposition under Guus Hiddink’s reign, as evidenced by the fact they charted joint-top for goals (nine) and big chances (nine) over the previous four Gameweeks. Furthermore, only three teams surpassed their haul of accurate attempts (18) across that stretch. Having ended a four-match losing streak with a win over Newcastle in the previous round of fixtures, the Hornets will look to improve their threat in the final third, given that they’ve registered the joint-second-fewest goals (three) and shots inside the box (20) over Gameweek 20-23.

Even still, this is a contact sport. May feel just about fine before the match and then takes one more knock to the same spot and aggravates it even more.

What to do with this lost?
    Thinking Lukaku/Baines > Kane/Zouma (-4)

    Butland
    Alderweireld - Moreno - Williams
    Sanchez (C) - Ozil - Payet - Mahrez - Alli
    Aguero - Lukaku

    Myhill - Ighalo - Baines - Francis (1FT - 0.6 ITB)

    Cheers.

    Shameless repost after being bottomed.

    What to do here lads?

    Lloris, McCarthy
    Bellerin, Walker, Dawson, Williams, Nyom
    Sanchez, Ozil, Payet, Mahrez, Surman
    Aguero, Kane, Ighalo

    2 FT, 1.2 ITB

I'm looking for an Ighalo replacement, another blank this week and has Spurs away next week (and I have double spurs defence) Vardy worth bringing in? I'm 0.3 short off him but I do have 2 FT's

    1. Sjaugen

      Dawson to Ivan or Reid

    2. davies
      • 11 Years

      I'd keep him.

Either Surman > Alli & bench Ighalo or ship Nyom.

3 spurs is the problem. (Walker, Lloris, Kane)

Plus wouldn't I be wanting Vardy in the near future? Upgrading my 5th mid will really restrict that.

        1. davies
          • 11 Years
          10 years, 4 days ago

          Oops didn't see Lloris.

Ighalo > Vardy makes sense but I'm tempted to keep.

The fact that he plays Spurs away this week (and I don't have a strong 5th mid) makes me want to sell him. I'm playing Lloris + Walker this week so I would be cheering for a Ighalo blank even if I kept him.

McCarthy to a cheap keeper that should play in GW30? Maybe Boruc or Schmeichel?

I was thinking of downgrading Nyom to Simpson/4.3 considering that he has lost his place.

Ighalo to Vardy is near the top of my list right now. But if Austin was declared fit...

    Weekend prep:

    Schmeichel (Gomez)
    Moreno, Bellerin, Creswell (Targett, Sagna)
    Özil, Payet, Alli, Eriksen (Mahrez)
    Aguero, Vardy, Lukaku

    0.2 ITB. 2FT

    A: Lukaku + Eriksen -> Kane + Barkley
    B: Lukaku + Eriksen -> Ighalo + Sanchez
C: Keep lukaku improve in the back?

Tempted by B for differential.... Don't fancy Kane, relies on penaltys and fixtures are getting worse. Thoughts?
