2 days ago chorus was, get ozil and double ars defence, Sanchez is overpriced.
Today it is, get Sanchez and KDB, forget Ozil.

Look at Ozil's last four games and then look at Sanchez's. As for De Bruyne, he was stellar, and usually starts when he's fit.

  7. Early GW34 Captaincy Thoughts

I've noticed a few trends in all of the GW33 WC mania that's going down to bring me out of the woodwork posing a question...

The bulk of the populous looks set to be playing their bench boost in GW34 but we still all need to make sure we've got a good captain in our ranks. That'll be four fixtures for one choice player (six for anyone using their triple captaincy saving their bench boost for GW37).

Aguero (che/new) & Lukaku (SOT/liv) look to be the two most popular strikers. Payet (lei/WAT) can take down anyone on current form. Arsenal (PAL/WBA) and Liverpool (bou/EVE) midfielders of choice have point in their ranks. United and Newcastle offer left field outlets with two home fixtures too boot.

Personally, I'm headed towards Sanchez (c) which ties up a lot of cash alongside Aguero, the two most expensive players in the game; especially when I want De Bruyne in the team now he's fit again too.

Where do your earliest intentions lie?

    1. ★Kuntheman★

Feeling a Sanchez(c) at the moment. In all likelihood it'll be him, Payet, Aguero, and Firmino in the running for me. De Gea is my outside punt.

Had Ozil and Sanchez for some time. Today convinces me they will run riot in the double. Unfortunately I went Ozil(c) today but will do Sanchez next week now. Toyed with selling Aguero but that's now been put to bed so it's Kane>Lukaku plus a cheapie for me. Wickham if fit in time.

      Sanchez, likely captain.

My biggest decision shall be KDB v Aguero based on cost and positional preference. If I'm not going to go Aguero captain, I have to decide if I can use the £3.1m extra elsewhere, not just for the sake of it but for the potential benefit of my FPL team.

    Squad for GW33:

    Robles (DDG)
    Ward Fuchs/Daniels/Bertrand (Dier)
    Mahrez Bolasie Silva Payet (Alli)
    Lukaku Vardy Aguero

Q1: Which one of Fuchs/Daniels/Bertrand should I also bench?
Q2: Will likely TC Lukaku, who do I put as vice just in case? Thinking Bolasie or Aguero.

      Hell no

Leicester will have Champion's League remember. No way he'll do near as well as this season, which FPL should factor in. I reckon 8.0-8.5m

When Newcastle got Europa League the likes of Cisse, Ba and Ben Arfa who had outrages PPG and goals returns where only at 8.0-8.5

They have to take that into consideration imo

          1. Bøwstring The Carp
            • 14 Years
            9 years, 8 months ago

In fact I think Ba and Cisse came in at 8.5 and 8.0 respectively with Ben Arfa at 7.5

            Mahrez is about 8.5 imo

            • 12 Years
            9 years, 8 months ago

Cisse had a half season. Mahrez has already blown out Ba's big season and Ben Arfa never had a big season. Mahrez is cruising to match Sanchez's score from last season.

    Hi all,

Is it possible to play an FT & a chip in the same gameweek?

    Thanks!

What's everyones plan for Triple Captain? I'm thinking Sanchez DGW34.

Can't see any other options that are likely to be as prosperous.

    Thoughts?

I'm thinking same but I also have my wc still to use. So not sure when to use that if I do triple cap gw34

    Yup. I have cracked it.

    Darlow - Robles

    Smalling - Rojo - Belle - Gabriel - Sakho

    KDB - Sanchez - Payet - Coutinho - Lennon 😀

    Mitro - Lukaku - Aguero

Gw35: Mitro and Lennon for Defoe and Milner

      Reply fail. Too carried away....

Anyway. Balls out eh? No Mahrez. Mitro and Lennon allow you to get Smalling. I'm not sure I'd want Lennon and mitrovic, but they have surely been producing of late. Cool.

Wow I can't get close to that team with my finances but I like it.. Would you not rather gamble on Iwobi over Gabriel?
