    So is there a consensus on here on wc 33 for 34 boost or is it better gw 37 due to cup matches and uncertainties? any help would be good

      No consensus but certainly times I hang out majority seem to be going
      Wc33
      Bb34
      Tc37
      Which is what I'm doing
      I think
      Tc34
      Wc36
      Bb37
      Can also work but you need to have been planning for a while and be well set up already

      1. Peter Russo
        • 10 Years
        9 years, 8 months ago

        true that gw37 is risky in that sense that you need to have enough players for 34 before hand

    3. Peter Russo
      • 10 Years

      its a good gw 34 but the cup games are worrying and there could be unpredictability. there'll be a week where you're on your nerves between 33-34 rotations and injuries a big worry.

    How's my Poor Man's WC looking?

    Robles Darlow
    Bellerin Sakho Gabriel Delaney Simpson
    Sanchez Payet Mahrez Milner Bolasie
    Aguero Kane Lukaku
    +0.6 ITB

    Cracked top 20k, but my team value is terribly low. Had to sacrifice a lot in defence, and going without Man U coverage isn't ideal. Otherwise I'm okay with it, any thoughts?

    Cheers

    DDG Robles
    Bellerin Gabriel Rojo Sakho Delaney
    KDB Coutinho Ozil Lanzini Mahrez
    Aguero Kane Lukaku

    Ozil selling value = 9.1 vs Sanchez buying value 10.8. I could do KDB ->Sanchez. Don't like the idea of Rashford.
    Also no Payet, but from what I've seen Lanzini might be a solid alternative.
    Mahrez-> Milner?

    Any advice?

        Yes. Tried playing around with Cech in the mix, but would like 2 MU and 2 Arsenal in gk/defense. Alternatives?

            Yeah, my plan was to use my FT for another GK in 35. Undecided as to who yet. At the same time, I would have liked to drop Mahrez GW35 as well. Who are your keepers going in?

              Currently Robles and Darlow, but not liking Newcasrle's gw35 away game. Although it enables money spent in midfield.

      DDG/Özil -> Mignolet/Sanchez?

        9 years, 8 months ago

        Was planning on possibly doing Mahrez->Milner GW 34 and DDG ->GK in GW 35. Then using the remaining 2 FT for GW37, giving me 9 DGW + Aguero and Kane. Just feel that DDG has a better chance at the clean sheets and not sure if the extra 1.7 to upgrade to Sanchez is worth it.

      Iwobi takes up Arsenal spot.

      Lingard a risk but may be necessary. At 4.3 he really opens up your options

          Don't see why he's difficult to ignore. Plenty of viable defensive options for just a few pennies more. Don't see anything comparable in the Iwobi price range among mids.

      Can't do Iwobi. Means no Arsenal double-defence if I also want Sanchez/Ozil.

    So I think it's down to these 2 routes for me - best one and why fellas?

    A)
    GW33: Kane -> Lukaku
    GW34: Kompany & Arnie -> Gabriel & Cout/Firm (-4)
    GW35: Lukaku -> Kane
    GW36: WC

    B)
    GW33: WC

    A) means I get a decent DGW team, get to hold on to all of my LEI assets & Alli through 35 and get Kane back for 35. Downside is restricted 33 DGWers (just Hennessey & Lukaku), and no MUN defence or KDB for 34.

    Mignolet, Hennessey
    Bellerin, Kompany, Wolly, JEvans, Simpson
    Sanchez, Mahrez, Payet, Arnie, Alli
    Aguero, Kane, Vardy

    Bank 0.7m, 1FT
    WC, BB & TC available

      I still think Ozil could easily be in the points but Sanchez has been undergoing a resurgence in the past few weeks and he looked brilliant yesterday. He's also a bit of a fact track bully, *cough* CPL, WBA, sun *cough*

      Just too expensive to keep imo, if i had the value then I would keep over Vardy.

        Lanzini enables Kane.

        Darlow Robles

        Rojo Sakho Gabriel Bellerin Mcauley

        Cou Mahrez Sanchez KDB Lanzini

        Kun Kane Kaku

      I will end up doing some seemingly silly transfers:
      Gw33: Lose Kane on the wc.
      Gw35: Lukaku -> Kane
      Gw36: Aguero -> Lukaku

      But there is method to it.

        Makes sense. Like to do it myself, except for the crazy value Ill lose on Kane which makes me wonder of Kaku Kane would be possible.

        Whos your third forward for 34?

          Mitrovic. Or so I believe.
          I will probably sell Smalling in order to finance the Lukaku to Kane move for gw35.

    Honestly feel Lanzini will make or break several WC teams, allows you to go for heavy hitters, while if he flops, Payets large ownership means you will see a red arrow.

    For me its come down to

    Lanzini+Kane vs Payet+Mitrovic.

    Not sure there is a right answer

      Yeah, good point. I went with Lanzini and Kane. I didn't want Rashford or Mitrovic. I can see Kane outscoring both. Payet has a higher chance of scoring points, but from what I heard from a WH fan Lanzini tends to get in the hole behind the striker from the wing (I guess same thing could be said about Payet). I just don't see Rashford/Mitro as good alternatives, while Lanzini seems like a nice gamble.

        Can't agree more on this last point. Payet/Lukaku are the two essentials - and I use that term in it's proper sense.

    Which of these you would want for rest of season if only can have one?

    1) Mahrez + Martial
    2) Lingard + Kane

    2 made sense as Tot are chasing and will go full throttle...

    Argh!... almost sorted my wc that allows me to field 11 dgw players in 34, 11 players in 35 and potentially 9 dgwers in 37.

    Mig / Robles
    Rojo / Simpson / Gabriel / Bellerin / Dann
    Alli / Coutinho / Payet / ? / ?
    Vardy / Lukaku / ?

    Last conundrum lies in:

    a) Aguero, Ozil & Lennon

    or

    b) Sanchez, KDB & $7.3fwd

    the thought of not having Aguero is terrifying but I'm playing quite a large catch up game, so the potential of Sanchez and KDB could make the difference if they hit. Aguero isn't a TC choice for me either, that honour would prob go to Lukaku if (a) and Sanchez if (b). cheers for listening to my thinking out loud 😉

          I was on Mitrovic until 10am yesterday. If I'd kept him, I'd have the same story.

          Can't complain though given that Bellerin, Sanchez, Payet, Coutinho were all brought into my WC team.

          Nope. Everything is risk/reward. The reward of that 13.3m to distribute when playing BB outweighs the risk in my view. I wouldn't captain him again this season even if I had him so that's irrelevant too.

          In addition - City v PSG.

          Cheers, Diva and fK. Just passing through. 🙂
