Romelu Lukaku is added to Everton’s list of doubts for the visit of Southampton. Salomon Rondon is passed fit for West Brom’s clash with Watford, Quique Sanchez Flores hints at rotation for the Hornets ahead of the FA Cup semi-finals, whilst Marko Arnautovic is expected to return in time for Stoke’s Monday night showdown with Spurs.

Romelu Lukaku, Ross Barkley, Aaron Lennon and Leighton Baines will be assessed ahead of Everton’s home clash with Southampton, Roberto Martinez has confirmed. Lukaku has been nursing a groin problem, which was aggravated against Palace in midweek, and will be monitored after he failed to train yesterday. The Toffees are without injured pair Tom Cleverley and Phil Jagielka, whilst James McCarthy is suspended. With one eye also on the upcoming FA Cup semi-final, Martinez has also hinted that “one or two youngsters” could be handed a chance against the Saints due to the injury situation.

Arsene Wenger has no new injury concerns ahead of the home encounter against Palace. The Gunners boss has revealed that Santi Cazorla and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could “maybe” be back next week, though neither has returned to full training yet. Jack Wilshere and Tomas Rosicky continued their recoveries with run-outs for the reserves yesterday.

Villa’s Gabby Agbonlahor has been ruled out for the next two weeks. Caretaker manager Eric Black has confirmed that the forward will undergo a personal fitness programme to improve his match sharpness.

Steven Davis has recovered from an ankle problem in time for Southampton’s clash with Everton. Charlie Austin is sidelined with a minor knee injury, whilst Ronald Koeman has confirmed that Shane Long is fully fit after being forced off with dizziness last weekend.

Swansea have no injury worries ahead of their trip to Newcastle, with Leon Britton back in contention after recovering from a back complaint.

Big Sam has no injury problems to contend with for Sunderland’s vital trip to Norwich, with Duncan Watmore passed fit after a couple of months on the sidelines.

West Brom’s Salomon Rondon has recovered from the back injury that forced him off early against Man City last weekend. Alex Pritchard (hip) joins James Morrison on the sidelines as the Baggies welcome Watford to the Hawthorns.

Watford boss Quique Sanchez Flores has confirmed his intentions to rotate the squad over double Gameweek 34, with one eye on the FA Cup semi-final encounter with Palace a week on Sunday.

Marko Arnautovic “should be okay” for Stoke’s clash with Spurs on Monday after missing out last week with a back problem. Erik Pieters serves the first of a two-match ban, whilst fellow left-back Marc Muniesa hasn’t trained since Monday and remains doubtful. Mark Hughes is optimistic on Glenn Whelan’s chances of recovery, though the midfielder has yet to fully train over the last few days.

Junior Stanislas could be in line to return for Bournemouth this weekend after stepping up his recovery from a hamstring injury. Benik Afobe, Harry Arter and Adam Smith remain on the sidelines.

I have the exact money to do

Barkley, Lukaku, Delaney -----> Nasri, Sturridge, Fosu-Mensah (-8).

Something about having the exact money always makes me think it's a sign...

I have the exact money to do Alli > Navas....

      I would keep Barkley
imo both Lukaku and Strurridge run the risk of be a sub in 1 game and playing the other

Why keep Barkley? I dont see any chance of him playing both games. Martinez has said he is going to manage his and Lukaku's minutes, and the FA cup is the only important thing for them now

What would you change? Would you take a hit or change the subs order?

    Mignolet
    Bellerin Smalling Sakho
    Alexis(vc) Ozil Firmino Alli
    Aguero(TC) Lukaku Martial

    xx Bolasie Fuchs Targett

    1. Geordienufc1
      • 12 Years
      9 years, 8 months ago

Don't think I'd bother with a hit, doesn't seem worth it. Subs order is decent as well, I'd still keep Bolasie first sub even if you don't play him, just for the virtue of playing 2 games (and hopefully 4 appearance points).

I'd be tempted to play Bolasie over Alli, but playing Alli as you've got it is probably more sensible.

      In short, gtg 🙂

Tough one. It sounds somewhat odd, but although I'm probably captaining Alexis this week (some would say playing it safe), I would probably triple captain Aguero if I was using the TC chip this week. I feel like Alexis clinches it on form and fixtures, and that's why he's the safe pick, but having seen how terribly we (Newcastle) have been playing, and Aguero being Aguero, I see a higher potential points ceiling for Kun.

          Best of luck either way.

I'd go for Sanchez over Aguero, but I think most will so Aguero could be a nice differential

The Sanchez v Aguero choice is difficult. I'm leaning towards Kun actually because he is playing away, and I can't see Chelsea nor Newcastle leaning back and going for 0-0 (unlike the teams Arsenal are facing). Especially if City scores early, the goals may come in numbers with fired up suppliers like De Bruyne and Nasri. Rotation is a risk but I think it can wait untill gw35 (or so I hope).

I'm a regular on the site, more as a viewer than a poster so much so this is my first post.
I like everyone suffered the heartache of having played my wildcard 33 like many others and despite having two Palace defenders, it was still frustrating to have sold the likes of Toby A, Moreno, Sigurdsson, Alli, Vardy etc and the casuals have been able to flourish.
Anyway, I would appreciate some feedback from the FFS community regarding selection this week and moving forward. Was originally planning on Bench Boost but with the likes of Lennon, Lukaku being doubts, may place the triple captain chip on Alexis.

    Current team

    Robles Darlow
    Bellerin Delaney Ward Sakho Lovren
    Lennon Ozil Sanchez Payet Coutinho
    Aguero Lukaku Mitrovic

    Potential transfers:
Delaney > Fosu-Mensah and not play BB
    or play BB and
    Delaney > Fosu-Mensah
    Lennon > Nasri
    Lukaku > Martial

Thanks in advance guys and good luck for your respective teams.

Play BB with the second option. No point saving BB for 37. Arsenal have SGW at Etihad in 37 and you don't want to BB with 3 premium Arsenal players in that GW.

You've got a very similar team to me there, differences between your Ozil, Ward and Lovren to my KDB, Smalling and Gabriel.

I quite like the look of those 3 moves on the whole. I'm relatively hits-averse, so I'm never a big fan of -8s, but given the size of this DGW I'd say it could pay off.

Same. For me, it is all about the value and whether it will outweigh the hits and pts averse and about long-term viability.

        Why Clyne over Moreno?

He's a better player than Moreno

    Considering a -8.
Getting rid of Lukaku, Lennon & Gabriel.

    Options:
    A - Pelle, Iwobi, Smalling
    B - Mitrovic, Ozil, Fosu-Mensah

    Thoughts?

I'm thinking that an in-form Pelle against Everton and Villa might be better than Mitrovic against Swansea, Man City & Liverpool.

I think your original 3 could easily outscore either option.

Any RMT thoughts on this would be good. Got a lot of worries about this week with rotation/injuries/form...

    Planning to go benchboost with:

    Darlow/Hennssey
    Gabriel/Darmian/Clyne/Chester/Delaney
    Iwobi/Sanchez/Mata/DeBruyne/Firmino
    Sturridge/Lukaku/Aguero

Haven't got any free transfers thanks to Jagielka's injury but anywhere you think could warrant a -4?

Using my WC early worked out great but I am now seriously considering taking a big hit to sort my team out both for this dbl GW and leave it in good shape for rest of the season. I'm 6 points behind in a league I really want to win .

I have Triple Cpt and Bench Boost left.

Opponent A has: All out attack and Bench boost left.

    Opponent B: Wildcard left only.(somehow)

    Who has the best chance?

probably you as you w/carded early to play your chips
opponent A, depends how many dgw players he has
opponent B can get 11 dgw players in
so you should have more dgwers plus chips, so i would say you have the edge, also depends if you set up for gw35 in your early planning, they may not consider that, good luck

Thanks, Opponent A's team is all over the shop and he will have to take a big a big hit this week. He only used 1 of his WC's so I think he thought he could use them at any time.

Should I be reluctant to take a big hit this week? I think I can afford to given the chip positions. I am thinking of the rest of the season too, not only this GW obv.

if hes got w/c left, then he can get in 11dgw players but you could have 15, im in same position to, got jags inj, lukaku doubt, got lead in both my m/l,, 2nd has chips but didnt do his w/c last week, so cant play his chips in the dgw
think taking hits in dgw is less risky, but need a more nailed on player to get pts back, rather than one who may be rotation risk
but its a bit frustrating having to take hits after w/carding
but your/my opponents can w/c knowing whos inj/fit etc. but i think{hope}our chips will be the difference
im thinkin of gw35 blanks, and gw37 dgw for trip cap..hopefully opponents wont think that far ahead, good luck
