Double Gameweek fever has arrived at FantasyBet this week. With a 15-match competition available in the freerolls and in our very own Fantasy Football Scout league, those ruing any wildcard errors are afforded the chance to build a new line-up for the extended round of fixtures.
It’s going to be a busy week, with Premier League action every day until Thursday. FantasyBet has £3500 in prizes up for grabs over the period, with contests starting every day. The big weekly pot, the Grand Weekend, remains a nine-fixture contest, while there are two qualifiers for the £5,000 end of season competition. For a £1.10 entry fee there’s a Flash Mode qualifier, offering a ticket for the Gameweek 38 finale, while in the £3.30 qualifier there are two tickets up for grabs – both are eight-match slates and miss Saturday’s lunchtime clash at Carrow Road and Monday’s Britannia encounter.
As usual the team below will be entered into the freeroll so this week I’ve gone with a full complement of players with a pair of fixtures to follow. I’m mainly focusing on assets from Manchester United and Arsenal, with both sides set for a pair of home ties.
If you are unfamiliar with FantasyBet it is particularly accessible for those who play Fantasy Premier League, as it uses a similar scoring and pricing system.

KEY PICKS
David de Gea: United have been excellent defensively at Old Trafford this campaign, picking up ten clean sheets so far, with three of those in the last four outings in front of their fans. De Gea is the main reason for that solidity and he could easily get into double figures over the clashes against Aston Villa and Crystal Palace.
Hector Bellerin: Arsenal will be aiming for six points against West Brom and Crystal Palace and having picked up back-to-back clean sheets prior to losing their nerve at Upton Park, another pair of shut-outs are on the cards. Bellerin is also in promising attacking form, recording a goal and three assists over the last four league matches, so gets the nod for the double-header.
Kevin De Bruyne: Afforded a sub appearance for the win against West Brom last time out, the Belgian’s midweek winner against PSG was his third goal in as many starts since returning from injury. Despite having trips to trips to Stamford Bridge and St James’ on his agenda, De Bruyne looks unstoppable of late and could plunder the points again.
Anthony Martial: United’s top goalscorer may have only a single strike to his name in the last four league matches but had nine attempts on goal over that period. Martial also provided both assists in the 2-1 FA cup win over West Ham and looks set for further returns in the two Old Trafford encounters.
THIS WEEK’S GAME PICKS
As always the best place to start if you’re new to FantasyBet are the freerolls. There is a £50 pot available for this Gameweek in both the standard and Flash mode.
FantasyBet’s flagship contest, the Grand Weekend contest, skips the match at Carrow Road, so line-ups can be entered right up until the 3pm kick-offs. It’s £11 to enter to compete for a minimum prize pot of £1000.
In the run-up to the Grand Finale in Gameweek 38, which has a £5,000 pot on offer, it’s possible to enter two qualifiers this week for a £1.10 or £3.30 stake to win an entry ticket usually worth £33.
FantasyBet also has the mid-week fixtures covered. Among the contests are a £1.10 game with a £50 pot, and a £300 guaranteed game for a £22 entry fee. The entry deadline for these contests are Tuesday evening.
LAST WEEK
It was a week to forget after not picking up any winnings. In the Grand Weekend contest, despite having Sergio Aguero as captain and Graziano Pelle and Scott Dann contributing, I was unable to get into the money places in a low-scoring Gameweek all round. Rus73den’s 83 points was enough to take top spot. Captaining Pelle provided 24 points, while Jamie Vardy and Toby Alderweireld also chipped in with double-figure hauls.
THIS WEEK’S STAKE
I’m entering the Grand Weekend, the Flash Qualifier, the freerolls, the £120 guaranteed Double-up contest and entering a team into the FFScout Picks League Football Scout league for a total outlay of £16.50.
In addition, I’ll be going up against Larry Legend, the Community champion in this week’s Scout Picks. He will be taking me on in a specially set up head to head game for a chance to win free entry into a £600 Guaranteed ‘Big Weekly’ game worth £22.
Also the eligible Community Champion who beats the Scout Picks by the highest margin every month will win a free entry into the £400 guaranteed ‘Boss’ game worth £55.
FFSCOUT PICKS LEAGUE
TheInfamousSpag topped the Scout Picks League with a score of 80 points. Alex Iwobi’s 10 points from the bench in replace of Philippe Coutinho may have been a stroke of luck but Sergio Aguero and Jamie Vardy proved sound picks up front, while Toby Alderweireld and Danny Rose also delivered.
Once again, FantasyBet have provided a £100 pot for the FFScout Picks League, with a £1.10 stake for entry, it is now possible to enter two teams into this contest. I will enter our Scout Picks as closely as possible, given a 15-man squad is required with the £100m budget and a captain also needs to be selected.
Feel free to go up against them this week and pick your own squad on FantasyBet.
