get mahrez back for last 3 games to block ml rivals or get a dgwer ?

Mahrez is the one attacking player I kept for the recent dgw who was not a dgw player. Read in to that what you will.

Think your probably safe. 3 weeks left. They would have to score more than 33 points every week than your score to beat you.
Only if rivals get lucky and they have more chips left than u will they catch you.

So I'd just play my own game. If u want Mahrez for OR then that's a different matter.

thanks. it just eats a xfer. will only have 5/6 dgwers as it is. only bothered about ml though, but mahrez could do anything or nothing these last 3... hard games on paper

Probably protect your lead I reckon - use that 100 point lead carefully, but as soon as they see what you've done they'll probably switch - the DGW is the dangerous week. How about saving your transfer for next week to give you more flexibility? I don't think Mahrez will do much next week against Utd

thanks. they only have 2dgwers as it stands, so they'll have hits if they want more. mahrez vs utd prob is low scoring, but you never know with him away

I thought Cathcard was but he was also benched 2 weeks ago.. and not the game prior to FACup..

I think that it will be very tight - something like 0-0 to 1-1 or a one goal match. If I had to guess I'd say that you'll win 1-0. Vardy would have been ideal for us against your defence ..... which is whole different kettle of fish from Swansea's.

Not sure I understand the question? Pick two?

Payet a deffo for me. Firmino very tempting, Europa League may tell us more about his rotation risk.

Defoe and Sturridge is a toss-up. I've gone for Sturridge for the greater upside, but big risk of resting.

Oh god, it wasn't that hard! Read the question properly Jossy!!! 😐

I'd wait on the minutes of the Liverpool two in EL, because both could be fantastic TCs, but if they're used extensively I would probably go Payet.

Payet or Firmino for me. Just watched the LIV/NEW game and Studge looks back to his best. His gametime worries me though.

Just done a profitable hit this week. Now tempted by another to setup nicely for GW37...

    Hart - Gomes
    Bellerin - Fuchs - Sakho - Gabriel - Simpson
Sanchez - De Bruyne - Payet - Alli - Lanzini
    Aguero - Kane - Sturridge

    Sakho > PVA
    Gabriel > Cresswell
    KDB > Firmino

    -8

Potentially all three outgoing players, don't even play. What do you think???

Would just do the first one for now, and save the other two for next week. Firmino's minutes this weekend will depend a lot on whether he plays the full 90 in Europa

      1. Jøssy ⭐
        • 11 Years
        9 years, 8 months ago

That's option B. And was my original thought process.

My debate is whether the -8 will pay for itself, and that largely depends on whether Firmino plays. Cresswell could certainly do well at WBA too.

    3. S.Kuqi
      • 13 Years
      9 years, 8 months ago

You 3 playing defs, 4 playing mids and 2 and half playing strikers. In that case wouldn't take a hits at all.

I would ship KDB out for Chelsea mid to have bench cover and to set your team for dgw37

      1. Jøssy ⭐
        • 11 Years
        9 years, 8 months ago

That would be Fabregas then based on budget. I was tempted, but do you have faith in them? Their fixtures aren't that favourable, and their form wasn't prior to the trip to Bournemouth.

        1. S.Kuqi
          • 13 Years
          9 years, 8 months ago

Firmino is better than Chelsea mids but there is this gametime issue. Will get him in for sure if it looks like he'll play against Swans.

            • 11 Years

That's my thought. I think he could get another double figure haul against Swansea.

He's actually not been dropped once yet in this run. That's either a very good thing for his prospects, or the exact opposite.

    4. Shifty
      • 12 Years

I think you could do way better for a -8.

Don't fancy a Chelsea mid punt? Could be very astute.

        Hey Shifty!

Not overly confident about Chelsea. Nothing to play for. I did toy with Fabregas.

How much in the bank?? How much cash I have left over with those transfers? 0.7M. Could get any mid up to 8.9M

Identify the players you think you are going to need for the dgw in 37.

I'll offer: Payet, Reid, Defoe, PVA, Smalling.

    Mitrovic- Defoe

What do you think of my proposed hit above?

        • 12 Years
        9 years, 8 months ago

Sakho and Gabriel need to go but I'm not comfortable on selling KdB for a hit too. Especially when you've got 7 other good forwards.

The KDB move is an enabler to allow Cresswell to come in.

If I just lose Sakho and Gabriel, then I can either have:

          A) PVA + 4.3M def
          B) Kirchhoff + 4.7M def

          I know you'll say B.

          - Not sure a Sunderland double-up is the way to go.
          - Schlupp/Morgan for a triple-up! 😆
          - Olsson of Norwich?
          - Could get Moreno, but not sure if he plays right through.

          What do you think?

            • 12 Years
            9 years, 8 months ago

Ah I see your problem there and it certainly makes it tricky as I quite like the Hammers defensive cover.

I'd be tempted by the double up tbh or Kirchoff + Cathcart or Olsson. Moreno looks great if he gets 4 games but if he only gets 3 games its the same as taking a hit for a single gameweek defender which is unappetising.

              Thanks mate.

That's why I'm half-tempted to downgrade KDB, since he's a rotation risk anyway.

I could wait a week and it's only a -4, but I think Cresswell could deliver against WBA (compared to Simpson away to Utd, which is who I'd play), as could Firmino if he plays against Swansea. Also, I'd then have a FT for G37.

              Food for thought...

Great work - I imagine the Sky game suits your ability to plan perfectly. I've been lax recently - missed a few captaincy change opportunities in the last couple of weeks 🙁

        • 12 Years
        9 years, 8 months ago

Uh oh, Double Gameweeks were not the time to miss captaincy changes! Aguero (44), Sanchez (14), Kane (34), Aguero (14), Lukaku (4 (booo!)), Sanchez (34) was a rocket booster string of captaincies that gave me a gameweek rank of #182 last week.

I had a spreadsheet with my transfers and captaincy changes all mapped out for the rest of the season too, life just got in the way 🙁

Still, I'm not in the running for any prizes and it's my first season playing so I'm not too concerned, just a bit annoying!

Those are some monster hauls you caught 🙂

            Gah, pesky real life!

Sky's a great game IMO as there's so much more flexibility than FPL and you can have captains every day, yet its not a free for all daily-style game due to the transfer limit. It really does promote good planning. Will you be playing next year?

I think I will, yes. I've floundered a little towards the end of the season due to the games coming thick and fast and not having as much time as I'd like to devote to it but overall it's been fun. I'm ranked about 600 and didn't buy Mahrez/Ighalo/Watford defence until about February so it feels like I've got room to improve 🙂

                • 12 Years
                9 years, 8 months ago

Wow I've gotta say that's pretty impressive, Mahrez was a cheap enabler for most of us very early doors. One thing I have learnt is don't enter Disable's cash league, I'm about 300th OR but 20th in his league. Its hands down the most competitive mini league in any form of the game.

I think my problem was I didn't get to actually watch a lot of football at the start of the season so I was still thinking Mahrez was lucking into points - I held onto Hazard instead for ages 😆

Made similar mistakes in FPL where I didn't buy Mahrez for 8(?) weeks - when I did buy him he was promptly benched! He's been a nightmare for me!

And yes, I got suckered into Disable's league - trouble is I entered my other team which is about 8,000th so I'm doing hilariously badly in there!

                    • 12 Years
                    9 years, 8 months ago

Haha I got a bit lucky on Mahrez in FPL, I largely jumped on board for the price rises then the points never stopped. In Sky I got on him about gameweek 5 which wasn't too late especially as that early caution helped me avoid some of the other early wagons who's wheels promptly fell off.

My team looks pretty good this week so not sure whether to WC & BB next week?

    Hennesey--Daniels--Iwobi--Rose

    Robles Mignolet
    Simpson Bellerin Smalling Gabriel Sakho
    Payet Lanzini Couts Nasri Sanchez
    Mitrovic Pelle Kun

Chasing atm, probably at least 15 point gap. Might just go for a decent rank at this point. Which?
    A. Pelle -> Defoe
    B. Sakho -> Reid
    C. Sakho -> PvA
    D. Nasri -> Alli
    E. Combination of the above for -4.

after a terrible week so far, with 4 non starters, whatcha think of these transfers

    Darlow
    Simp - Cress - Bellerin
    Payet - Milner - Alli - Sanchez
    Pelle - Kane(c) - Aguero

    (Joel - Gabriel- Sakho- Couts - )

Pelle (the worst transfer ever) ---> Defoe (scores away alot, stoke bad form)
    Sakho
    Sakho/Gabby --> ?? Any defender

Its fine, Ulloa was a huge differential, 1.5% atm, probably lower before his goals.

No one could've predicted that. I'm really thinking the only ones who have him are dead teams who got him based off form last season.
