The EA Sports Player Performance Index numbers are out, with the Fantasy Premier League applying them to the game to add the gameweek 14 bonus points. Here’s a match-by-match breakdown of how they map out….

Blackburn 4 Swansea 2
Bonus – Yakubu 3, Samba 2, Givet & Vukcevic 1

It’s no surprise to find four-goal Yakubu leading the way in the PPI stakes from this game. Indeed, the Nigerian recorded the top overall PPI score of the gameweek, with a huge return of 73. Assists and defensive statistics saw both Chris Samba and Gael Givet record big PPI totals, with Simon Vukcevic’s two assist contribution from the bench enough to see him share a single bonus point with Givet. Scott Dann and Jason Lowe were just outside the bonus reckoning as the Blackburn defence racked up some decent numbers in the 4-2 win.

Wigan 0 Arsenal 4
Bonus – Van Persie 3, Arteta 2, Vermaelen 1

Robin Van Persie once again seals the maximum bonus thanks to a goal and a pair of assists in the 4-0 win at Wigan. Once more he’s joined by Mikel Arteta and Thomas Vermaelen, who seem regular recipients of bonus in recent weeks. Arteta sneaks ahead of the Belgian by 3 PPI points to claim the 2 bonus here. Gervinho missed out on a share of the single bonus by just one PPI point.

Newcastle 0 Chelsea 3
Bonus – Terry 3, Sturridge 2, Kalou 1

A clean sheet and an array of impressive defensive statistics were enough to see John Terry claim the top PPI score from Chelsea’s 3-0 win. He topped Daniel Sturridge by a clear 10 points, the striker’s efforts off target perhaps contributing to the margin. Salomon Kalou’s goal from the bench saw him nudge past Ramires by a single PPI point to claim the remaining bonus.

Man City 5 Norwich 1
Bonus – Yaya Toure 3, Silva 2, Nasri 1

The PPI rankings looked hard to predict in this game, and so it proved. Yaya Toure’s goal and midfield efforts were enough to have him claim the maximum here, but bonus for David Silva and Samir Nasri both looked unlikely. Nasri edged out fellow goalscorers Adam Johnson and Sergio Aguero to claim the single bonus point, while Silva’s assist and attacking efforts were enough to see him earn the two.

Spurs 3 Bolton 0
Bonus – Defoe 3, Bale 2, Lennon 1

Tottenham’s three goalscorers hogged the top PPI ranks here, with Defoe claiming top spot and the maximum FPL bonus. Gareth Bale trailed by just 4 PPI, while Lennon recorded 11 PPI less than the Welshman but still held off the claims of Luka Modric and Kyle Walker to claim the remaining bonus point.

QPR 1 West Brom 1
Bonus – Long 3, Barton 2, Gabbidon & Young 1

Shane Long’s equaliser helped him to a PPI score of 30, nudging him ahead of QPR’s Joey Barton to fetch the maximum bonus in the Loftus Road stalemate. Those two were streets ahead of the pack, with Daniel Gabbidon and Luke Young sharing a single bonus back on 13 PPI.

Aston Villa 0 Man United 1
Bonus – Jones 3, Nani 2, Vidic & Smalling 1

The deciding goal from Phil Jones, coupled with a clean sheet, unsurprisingly saw him earn the 3 bonus points from United’s win at Villa Park. Nani’s assist and attacking threat fetched him a PPI score of 29, with defenders Chris Smalling and Nemanja Vidic sharing a return of 20 to split the remaining bonus point.

Wolves 2 Sunderland 1
Bonus – Fletcher 3, Jarvis 2, Richardson 1

Steven Fletcher’s brace turned this game on its head and saw him claim an impressive 55 point PPI return. Matt Jarvis’ assist allowed him to edge ahead of the pack with a PPI of 22 to earn the 2 bonus, with Black Cats’ goalscorer Kieran Richardson fetching the final bonus with a PPI of 21.

Everton 0 Stoke 1
Bonus – Huth 3, Shawcross 2, Crouch, Whelan & Etherington 1

Goalscorer Robert Huth registered a PPI score of 40 to easily claim the maximum FPL bonus from Stoke’s 1-0 win at Goodison. Fellow centre-back Ryan Shawcross put in a strong defensive showing to push himself ahead of a chasing pack; his PPI score of 19 was just enough for him to earn the 2 bonus, with Peter Crouch, Matt Etherington and Glenn Whelan all sharing the remaining bonus point with PPI scores of 17.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Best ever week for bonus - a whopping 14 with RVP skipper. It all came good, nearly benched Shawcross for Simpson, 8 points to the good there, and my 4 point hit for Studge and Silva payed off with a net 10, and played Schwarzer over Vorm who scored nothing. Now on 77 with Schwarzer/Enrique to go tonight so should crack 80+. Praying Saurez doesn't punish me for getting rid but new players have done well for me anyway! 🙂

Anyone still playing the sky sports game? I have a quick question about the rules for those who are into this one. If I transfer out a player who has already played this weekend, e.g. Vorm, for say Reina who plays tonight, will I get points for Reina instead of Vorm? Just trying to make sense of the following:

    Daily Transfer Cut Off:
All transfers being made for a game on a specific day need to be made before kick off of the first Premier league fixture on that day. The cut off times for this week are as follows:

    Saturday 3rd December: 12:45
    Sunday 4th December: 15.00
    Monday 5th December: 20.00

Right need a bit of help, i’ve done we’ll this week 77pts with Enrique to play tonight (would have been better if Larsson hadn’t missed that penatly *hand on face*) but now i have a few issues.

    Current team:

    Vorm, Bergovic

Jones, Enrique, Wilkinson, Simpson, J Evans

    Silva, Bale, Larsson, Walters, Allen

    Ade, RVP, Aguero

    Allen – sent off
    Evans – Not playing
    Wilkinson – benched this week
    Bergovic – Not playing

I’m thinking about ditching Aguero this week for either Ba or Wellbeck, then Walters to Mata next week, good moves?

    Or

Do i need to sort my defence out first? i am reluctant to take a hit for defenders though.

    Thanks

Hey fellas. Thinking of saving a transfer this week, would you agree?

    1 FT 0.2 Bank

    Vorm
    Tierney Baines Jones
    Walters Bale VDV Yaya
    RVP Sturridge Adebayor

    Hennessey Hoolahan Simpson Naylor

Not really much I can do with such little cash...could downgrade Sturridge but don't really see why I should do that apart from pure greed!

          Tierney this week - 4 goals conceded, 1 assist = 3 points
Naylor at home this week so it's obviously - 1 CS, 90 minutes played, 1 BP = 7
          Oh, and Ba - 2 goals, 2 assists, 3 bp's = 19
Ba was just there as I was bagging about my captain. Sorry.

with staylor out and coloccini doubtful, my advice would be to stay away from newc defense completely. rtaylor might get you some attacking points, but with everyone and their cousin talking up the consistent back 4 as the source of newc's success, now that said consistency is gone it's time to jump ship!

I don't think that matters at the moment. There are lots of good defensive choices. Having all four of those will priobably mean you will have to ditch one eventually...but one could get injured and make that choice for you. Also I can see Jones being benched occasionally over xmas...not much...but enough to make you glad you had WAlker or Jose coming off the bench or playing.

Oh man, I'm looking at my team for next week and it just looks bad. I knee jerked VDV-->Bale yesterday as i felt i couldn't afford any major shift in prices which seem likely to happen. Even though it has that 'late to the party feeling about it'.

Part of me wants to take an 8 or 12 pt hit and sort it all out. I have no ManU coverage due to Hernandez, and I'm not liking my defence right now.

Any thoughts? Am I being too harsh on my team? Link in user name btw.

Two freebies and £800k in the bank but Saylor out for the season. Other defenders are Kompany, Santos, Ward & N Taylor.

If I go the ‘safe’ route I can bring in a defender for up to £5.6m and save the 2nd transfer for another week but I need someone who will play and provide a decent return this GW due to fixtures.

Am seriously contemplating a punt on an old fave who has served me well in the past - Christopher Samba - because of his scoring threat (and fact Rovers have 3 fairly benign strike forces coming up the next 3 games).

Is Smalling a decent option i.e a cheap way into the Man UTD defence for Xmas or likely to play the odd game only in the rotation? What about Baird or Hughes at Fulham?

    Vorm (given)

    Jones, Enrique, Ward, (Gabbidon, Simpson)
    Mata, Silva, VDV, Walters (ferguson)
    RVP, Ade, Agbonlahor

have 2 free transfers next week. VDV & Gabby are letting me down badly.

    VDV > Bale seems obvious
    Agbonlahor > ??

    Any suggestions?

Ive been through the rough with him, he stays. The guy is FPL gold and hes a bit of a differential for me. Until he gets properley injured, he stays. Although i may switch near Xmas but he did start every game over Xmas last year.

was going to reassess after the sunderland game because last time VDV was benched defoe started and scored his 2nd goal in 2 games, the week after VDV started and his spree began. however I think defoe may have been injured against wigan so it may not be a simple case of a fully fut VDV always starts

Opinions on this team? I've already used my transfers for the week to beat any price rises which I may well regret. Still got £1.2M in the bank...

    Vorm, Given
    Enrique, Jones, Richards, Simpson, Wilkinson

Instead of Vorm, Given, Moses, Dyer I have Al Habsi, Ruddy, Walters, Pilkington. Pretty much the same starting team.
Don't think there are any transfers worth a hit tbh

I wouldn't want Clichy either way.

City aren't keeping many clean sheets and there's always the possibility of Kolarov playing.

Never asked for help on a transfer before but stumped this time around....!

    Team: Vorm / De Gea
    Enrique Shawcross Jones R.Taylor Brown
    Silva Bale Ramey Brunt NDyer
    RVP Adebayor Hernandez
    Posn 60155 (had a sh*te start)

Really wanted to sub out De Gea to free up cash to get in better Mid / Def but forced to sub out Hernandez.

Who is the best replacement for Hernandez, have 1.3m in bank so can afford Aguero at 11.3m - but would have no cash to upgrade Midfield / Def

Just replaced Suarez with Hernandez - wish I never bothered but don't want Suarez back, yet.
    Any ideas peeps????

Instead of pressing the 'a' key you missed it and pressed caps lock, this resulted in the missing 'a' in Hernandez and the capital letters 'NDEZ'. Very common mistake I see it all the time.
