Sadio Mane goes into Liverpool’s trip to Burnley as a doubt following a shoulder injury in training. Arsene Wenger will be without both Aaron Ramsey and Alex Iwobi for the trip to Leicester City, while Mark Hughes confirms that Jack Butland won’t be risked against Manchester City. Here’s a summary of the known teams news so far…

Ryan Bertrand remainssidelined for Southampton’s trip to Old Trafford this evening due to an ongoing knee complaint. Claude Puel has confirmed that Jose Fonte is in contention to start after stepping up his fitness in training this week.

Aaron Ramsey (hamstring) and Alex Iwobi (thigh) have been ruled out until after the international break after they were forced off injured against Liverpool last weekend. Arsene Wenger has conceded he may have to gamble on the fitness of Laurent Koscielny, Mesut Ozil and Olivier Giroud, though won’t start all three. The Gunners boss revealed that Koscielny is the likeliest of the trio to feature in his first XI.

Eddie Howe has confirmed he has “no major concerns” on the injury front as Bournemouth make their way to West Ham on Sunday.

Club record signing Steven Defour could be in line for a start at home to Liverpool, reckons Sean Dyche. Ashley Barnes remains sidelined due to a hamstring injury, whilst the on-loan Jon Flanagan cannot face his parent club.

Mark Hughes has this morning ruled Jack Butland out of a return against Manchester City, whilst Glen Johnson also remains sidelined with a thigh complaint. Shaqiri is also a concern after suffeirng a calf problem in the 1-1- draw with Middlesbrough on the opening day.

Alan Pardew has also updated us this morning with news that both Joe Ledley and Wayne Hennessey are “fitness concerns” ahead of the trip to White Hart Lane. The Eagles boss also indicated that Yohan Cabaye, Jordon Mutch, and James McArthur would likely travel having missed the season opener with West Brom.

Chris Smalling and Paul Pogba are back in contention after serving out one-match suspensions, though Jose Mourinho has admitted that the latter is unable to play 90 minutes due to a lack of match fitness. Jesse Lingard is also available after recovering from a foot problem.

Hugo Lloris is sidelined with a hamstring injury as Spurs welcome Palace to the Lane. Mousa Dembele sits out the fourth of a six-match ban, whilst Heung Min Son has returned from the Olympics and will be assessed.

Sadio Mane remains doubtful for Liverpool’s trip to Burnley with a shoulder injury sustained in training. James Milner and Daniel Sturridge are back in full training, whilst Lucas also has a chance of making it. Mamadou Sakho has stepped up his recovery but is expected to miss out again.

Ronald Koeman will make a late decision on Romelu Lukaku and Ashley Williams’ fitness for Everton’s trip to the Hawthorns. The Belgian returned to full training yesterday without any problems, whilst Williams has stepped up his match fitness over the past week. Seamus Coleman remains absent, though Yannick Bolasie is in line for a debut.

Swansea’s record signing Borja Baston is sidelined with a minor thigh problem. Neil Taylor is likely to miss out again as he builds up his fitness, whilst Leon Britton (illness) is doubtful. Ki Sung-yeung is back in contention to face Hull, with Francesco Guidolin hinting at a start for Gylfi Sigurdsson.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of this evening’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream for breaking news – as the day unfolds, we will issue updates from Friday’s press conferences and refresh our Team News tab accordingly to keep you informed.

    G2G?

    Foster
    Shaw / Stones / Amat
    Hazard / Lamela / Redmond / Firmino
    Zlat / Aguero / Gray
    (Jak, Capoue, Fuchs, Friend)

Tempted to make the Fuchs to Walker transfer before the inevitable price rise, thoughts?

I'm in the exact same position, with him on my bench and the same back-line.

I am probably going to sit on it now, in case Payet explodes or I need to jump on Zlatan/Costa.

Suggest you do the same. One more week will make the decision far easier. Don't think United will keep a cleanie though.

    Bench one:
1: Redmond (14% chance to score)
2: Tadic (15% chance to score)
3: Funes Mori (34% CS chance)

According to the bookies, I'd probably want to bench Redmond or Tadic and play 4ATB (other defenders Amat (48%), Stones (40%) and Valencia (52%)).

But I guess you shouldn't trust the odds blindly. What do you guys think?

4atb early in the season is probably not a good idea. Cleansheets are rare early on, historically.

I don't think there's any odds on assist, but there's a 48% chance of Southampton scoring, and either Redmond or Tadic should be involved in that, so could that make doubling up on them better than playing Funes Mori?

      Bench Redmond.

I think Everton have a good chance of a clean sheet and Mori has attacking threat.

Tadic with free kicks corners and pens has more chance of being involved in some way should Southampton score at all.

The big question is who to captain this wknd,

    Haz

    Kun

    or

    Ibra

I think home advantage wins, Kun will score but be leggy.

its a tough shout w/ Ibra, could bang in 3 could go absent.

Sergio away is iffy, Stoke wont be easy.

Siding with the big man, will then watch city routStoke and be annoyed.

Now I'm thinking to sell Vardy and get Rooney as well for minus 4 points. Any thoughts on this double transfer???

My thoughts are bringing in Rooney for a hit is a horrendous idea. It would be horrendous even for free. If you watch him actually play you would know why. He is on a downward slope and has been for over a year.

    Just a thought on Coutinho...

I know there is a general feeling on here that he lacks consistency and is a long range shooting merchant, but I was very encouraged by how often he was getting in the box on Sunday.

Definitely one to monitor and if he keeps getting as far forward as he did on Sunday, I for one will be bringing him in.

Asking now as it will be a rush tonight.

      Foster Jakupovic
      Valencia VVD Stones Kone Amat
      Hazard Firmino Oscar Redmond Capoue
      Aguero Vardy Gray

      2 FT, 1.0 ITB.

To do Vardy > Ibra, 0.5 needs to be trimmed

A: Oscar & Vardy > Lamela & Ibra (don't really want to do that with Oscar and Vardy great gw3)
B: VVD & Vardy > Williams & Ibra (as with A, exact cash so needs to be done tonight)
C: VVD & Vardy > 4.0 & Ibra (can afford an Ibra rise with this one and have .9 to do Gray to Benteke next week, but not gain and Everton defender or Spurs attack)

That's why I'm thinking option C is good, but then I'm lumbered with two 4.0 defenders just to give Vardy a wait and see, while I could get Williams for his great run.

                Your top 4 predictions? Thinking:

                Man Utd
                Man City
                Chelsea
                Liverpool

A lot of the season will come down to injuries, especially for teams like Arsenal (defenders) and Man City (Aguero).

No Europe for Chelsea and Liverpool will help greatly too.

I'm a little confused why Hazard is only at 7% in the captaincy poll. I mean, fair play, Shay Given is going to be in goal so that's a bonus, but Stoke are surely not going to concede more than two at home, they're traditionally a very solid defensive team.

Bold getting Origi. If he actually plays he's golden. I would keep Mane unless it's urgent, he'll be back next week most likely. Redmond vs Man Utd isn't that good a fixture anyway.

I think with a hot Liverpool playing burnley, the striker spot could be a great fpl player. I see it being either studge or origi, but for me origi gets the nod, I'm questioning wether klopp will rush sturridge back into a full 90 mins just as he's come back from an injury (all be it just a knock, but a knock for sturridge is still a worry)
