A second Friday kick-off of the season and a huge cauldron of a fixture.

When Chelsea meet Liverpool at the Bridge, things are rarely dull. We can normally bank on goals aplenty and for Diego Costa to find a way to court controversy.

Being fair, he’s managed to achieve that every match so far, though he’s also managed to notch either a goal or an assist in each of his four starts – making it easy to forgive his little indiscretions. For now.

Antonio Conte will be looking for more of the same as he puts out a Chelsea line-up that includes a second debut for David Luiz. He steps into the back four with John Terry nursing an ankle injury.

Liverpool are forced into a change of their own – the late revelation that Roberto Firmino would miss out with a “minor” groin injury opens the way for his compatriot Philippe Coutinho to make a return.

    This is getting silly now.

Hazard ain't gonna get anywhere near Costa for goals or pts this season...and he's more expensive.

Costa's form will not last. Although Hazard doesn't look like he can score a lot. Just assist and score penalties.

      Same situation.

Starting off my WC with a funny few moves just to catch the risers and drop the fallers. Out of those 5 I am bringing in below I will likely only keep one of MANE/ANTONIO. I may even bring Stones back but he is still 5m so no issue there, that is just space to clear room for KDB potential double price rise...

Only danger is a Sanchez injury tomorrow which would make me regret dropping Hazard.

      Out In
      Stones Kingsley
      Hazard De Bruyne
      Redmond Mané
      Barkley Antonio
      Gray Diomande

Just temporarily ditch any expensive defenders you have (but have not made 0.1 on) as they're much less likely to rise, then get both mane to see if they double rise and switch back later in the week.

With a -4 I can get this team this week:

    Heaton
    Valencia - Stones - Kone
    Hazard - Antonio - Lamela - Redmond
    Benteke - Aguero - Ibra

    Foster - Souare - Capoue - Friend

Not sure whether I need to wildcard, although granted that Lamela and Redmond still aren't ideal and I'm hoping for Hazard to get a penalty or turn up against Arsenal.

    Thoughts?

If Barkley does play and do well you could keep, ditch Haz for Antonia, as would have 2 home games he should score in at least 1

See how other games play out first unless you really want mane as his price could rise tonight

You got a plan in place to WC GW8 then? Capitalise on the international break's price fluctuations? Or just play it by ear and save it til you need it?

Just use your wildcard, can get a better team to set you up for the next run of fixtures, have to use it sometime and you wouldn't lose the 4 points.

More or less same situation. Problem being that players I'd like to get now like Mané, Heaton and Lukaku look like rising tonight, and Redmond looks like dropping. So mihgt get priced out of optimal WC team if not using it now. Seeing you have Souaré, guess he'll drop also

Looks pretty decent. Think Redmond could still be a reasonable option. Guess concerns would be no Arsenal, Liverpool or Everton players when they have decent fixtures coming up.

Already own and keeping = Capoue, Antonio
Getting in and likely keeping = Heaton, Baines
Currently have, but most likely selling after one more rise: Sanchez, Sterling, Nacho
Getting in JUST for the rise, then selling: KDB, Mane
Currently have, but no idea what to do yet: Lukaku 🙂

the way Liverpool and city are playing then their players are season keepers as both very attacking, Chelsea and utd whilst will get big hauls here and there, flatter to deceive a lot

Chelsea are so dependant on hazard and costa are very very slow and boring to watch until they go 1 or 2 goals down but by then it is too late

Not bad, gave Azpilicueta a good game. A threat in the first half and occasionally on counter.

Liverpool more successful on the left wing though - Milner, Wignaldum and Coutinho were great and caught out Ivanovic a lot.

This is not knee-jerky, at 10.5 Haz simply not looking essential to me. Oscar btw still might take a pen, Haz doesn't have ownership it may be shared. Also Haz not really on set piece much Chelsea share that too.

With Costa leading the line for goals hard to justify Costa + Haz ownership feeling one is plenty and Costa is the one to have.

10.3 if you buy him new, 10.1 if you own him, but regardless, agree that in form Costa is probably enough from CHE especially with fixtures. The problem then is other great strikers such as Ibra/Aguero/Benteke(?)/Lukaku that you'd like which is why Hazard is attractive especially as he looked tremendous in August.

Hazard is edging closer to the exit door in my side, if he blanks next week Sanchez is in for Arsenal's run of fixtures.

I think I might lose both Costa and Hazard. Will wait to see how Arsenal do first.

I'm keeping Ibra, Costa was always out for Kun, I'm considering taking Hazard out instead of Ozil now. Then Ozil > Sanchez the next week.

Nope, not in PL. He's suspended for the 3rd game in the Milk Cup.*
