A second Friday kick-off of the season and a huge cauldron of a fixture.

When Chelsea meet Liverpool at the Bridge, things are rarely dull. We can normally bank on goals aplenty and for Diego Costa to find a way to court controversy.

Being fair, he’s managed to achieve that every match so far, though he’s also managed to notch either a goal or an assist in each of his four starts – making it easy to forgive his little indiscretions. For now.

Antonio Conte will be looking for more of the same as he puts out a Chelsea line-up that includes a second debut for David Luiz. He steps into the back four with John Terry nursing an ankle injury.

Liverpool are forced into a change of their own – the late revelation that Roberto Firmino would miss out with a “minor” groin injury opens the way for his compatriot Philippe Coutinho to make a return.

    Hello lads

Am I crazy for thinking Capo > Fletcher after Capos rise to 4.9 (SP 4.7) and Fletcher going down to 4.4.

Was never intending on playing Capo and the deal releases 0.3M.

Is Capo 4th mid material? (this has probably been asked a zillion times before)

Just keep him, not worth risking selling someone who has the potential to keep rising just to get an extra 0.3 mil

If I'm not playing him that's 0.3M more on the bench than needed. Not planning on using a FT later down the line on a 8th attacker money move.

Double Arsenal or double Everton for GW6?

      A) Mirallas, Sanchez, Lukaku
      B) Cazorla Sanchez, Lukaku

Both options for GW6; Arsenal at home vs CE, Everton away at BOU.

      Thanks y'all.

      Foster - Pickford
      Valencia - Baines - B. Davies - Holebas - Amat
      Sanchez - Hazard - Sterling - Januzaj - Capoue
      Ibrahimovic - Lukaku - Zaza

      2 FTs 0.6 ITB

Need to shave 0.7 to do Ibra -> Kun. Which downgrade looks best:

      A) Hazard -> Mane
      B) Zaza -> Diomande (play 3-5-2. Januzaj has good fixtures and I would have the cash to upgrade him to Antonio later)
      C) Januzaj -> 4.5 mid (play Capoue as 4th mid for his run of favourable fixtures)

As a Firmino owner I have to say that I am quite happy with this result. Mane wasn't involved in anything, Costa got a goal though but no bonus points so could live with that. Hazard looked poor though, if Ozil performs well, I might sell Hazard for someone like Eriksen or double up with Firmino and Mane to fund Ibra to Aguero.

he looked like that last game not involved in the play just stays out on the wing and hopes someone will pass to him.

Indeed, that is twice in a row now, Arsenal next I believe and with Aguero return, we can't have all the big hitters in our squad

Klopp's quotes are positive about that, seems to be just a minor problem that isn't really an injury, with Lallana in form, they have options in the middfield so don't have to risk Firmino, so guess so yeah

Agreed, however for a 10.3m midfielder you would expect him to be fixture proof at least, irrespective of the teams he was facing

Yes...very yes. I didn't see his first three games and got him in based on raves on here. Having seen the last two he really hasn't got anything more to offer than the Liverpool mids.....at best...

        1. Ibracadabra
          • 16 Years

he does have one thing to offer that they don't - penalties, but even that may not be enough to make the 1.5m+ difference in cost.

With Liverpool is it very hard to get one of the midfield players because you really don't know which one is going to score it is like playing the lottery. Dufflinks 2014/2015 FPL Champion said that he does not invest in Liverpool midfielders for this reason.

        1. Ibracadabra
          • 16 Years

not very hard at all. get one and keep him long term. multiple players can provide returns in the same team- see sanchez/ozil, fabregas/hazard a few years ago, etc. I don't see why Mane/Firmino will be any different especially as LIV will be in the top 3-4 goalscoring teams at end of season.

If my maths is right I can hold off bringing in Aguero for another week because he won't rise for 10 days, and instead get Costa for Tekkers before his value makes him unaffordable....

      Defoe>Aguero

For a -4? That gives me a liverpool double up and Aguero/Ibra/Lukaku up front. Could go with Eriksen as well (or Alli, which allows me to get Snodgrass instead of another 5.5)

      Heaton
      Valencia - Baines - Evans/Kone
      Mane - Alli - Antonio - Snodgrass
      Aguero - Ibrahimovic - Lukaku

How is this looking? Too weak midfield? Could go with Firmino instead of Alli and King/Zaha instead of Snodgrass.
