Hands up, this ScoutCast is a bit scruffy.

Signed off work and delirious with man flu, we had to coax Granville to keep him from his sick bed. Fortunately, the fact he had a decent Gameweek helped persuade him.

However, he did insist on an early kick-off, with no pre-match warm-up. So Jonty and I were ill-prepared and it also meant that, head frazzled by a Lemsip overdose, Granville forgot to lock his children in the cupboard before we started.

Imagine the horror when they wandered in to hear Granville gloating about Yannick Bolasie.

Of course, you don’t have to imagine – you can join Jonty and myself as we risk contracting Granville’s affliction in order to talk about Fantasy Football for an hour.

Steered by another round of community questions, we also dip into Stoke assets, the captaincy, attacking defenders and, inevitably, with his transfers out stats climbing quicker than Granville’s temperature, we discuss Aguero’s fading star.

If you can bear to brave the chaos of this latest germ-ridden episode, then you can view the Google Hangout version, first published on our YouTube channel, in the second player below.

Be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for news on future live episodes.

You can restrict your sensory experience of Granville’s cold to just audio by clicking here or streaming using the first player.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Captaincy Conundrums...

    Kun - bench risk

Benteke - plays his old team but has already burnt me twice including Stoke and that missed pen the other week

    Walcott - early KO

Firmino/Coutinho - might blank and Mane takes all the credit this week

It would appear Ibra(c) is my best bet. Riding high at the top of Goals Imminent, the win vs City might just get them going now. If he blanks he goes next week along with Capoo with 2 FT's. A yellow card will make that an easy decision anyway.

    Who are you guys choosing?

      Sanchez
      3rd time lucky i guess.

Think Deeney is a decent shout if you had him.

So early KO is a more justifiable reason to not captain a player (Walcott) than horrendous form (Ibra)? Nice logic.

I just hate early KO's. Captained Theo last week and he blanked. My 6th fail which is ridiculous!

Kun is not a bench risk and early ko is purely psychological. If anything it's a plus for Arsenal coz Sunderland played Weds night

Ibra switched back to his old Nike Mercurial at half time against City so now I expect him back in early season form again! Last five games he played in Adidas.. Easy choice for the armband!

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too; ...

If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my KUN!

      He's 100% nailed on

He's the second best pick to replace Snodders I think. I personally went for Shaqiri as I think he's in a hot run of form, eager to impress the manager, on all set pieces and they have delicious fixtures

    Two questions:

    1) Gamble on Walcott passing fitness test and playing tomorrow? Already have snodgrass out and ideally want to save transfer for next week.

    2) Thoughts on Moses as a replacement for Snodgrass next week? Only have 5.6m to spend so that bracket is pretty poor

    Thanks,

    1. some witty pun
      • 13 Years

      1) Snodgrass is a bigger priority since hes out more than a GW. Do Snoddy before Wally
      2) Allen/Stanislas a better choice for 5.6m. Chelsea's fixtures are tough and Moses may lose his place to Terry/Zouma as Azpi moves to RWB

Yeah Snodgrass needs to go for sure. I really wanted to save for next week in order to have 2 FT's and therefore move on Benteke as well as Theo and Snodgrass for a -4. but maybe it makes sense to move snodgrass this week.

good shout actually on Azpi moving there, i hadn't considered that.

Not exactly. Arsenal have defenders hoovering Baps as well. Cout gets them all when he scores.

Liverpool's main problem is Milner. Lallana will chip in but otherwise, it's the big three.

You must have got Walcott after his hauls then. No price locks?

I've gotten feckall points from Walcott (or Alexis). Bought last week @ 7.7m, selling price 7.9m.

I will take that and run and jump onto the next money spinner.

Anyone else activating that All Out Attack chip this weekend? I personally think it's a really good week for it. Not only because my lovely Capoue has Watford at home, but also because 3 of my 5 defenders have away fixtures, and one of the home fixtures is Koné against Arsenal.

Who are in the same situation?

Not a good idea if you have Walcott

Ah yes, injuries always put a stopper for that, so I see your point.

I considered going AOA last week, but had some injury doubts myself then. You should definitely be sure you can field all your attackers when using this chip..

I think it's a great week for defenders myself.. I have Valencia, Kosc, Holebas with Stones on the bench..

Your two away defenders have decent chances of keeping a clean sheet imo

One of them is Amat though, so not sure I'll risk starting him. I'll start Holebas, and I'm contemplating either Lovren or Smith alongside him. I think they could both keep a clean sheet, so this whole thing might backfire on me...

But yeah, if you have United, Arsenal, Watford and Everton defenders, your defence is set really well, wouldn't worry about AOA then.
