We make out way to Goodison Park for the first of Sunday’s two matches as Everton entertain Manchester City.

With the Toffees on the cusp of an excellent run of fixtures from Gameweek 22 onwards, this afternoon’s encounter allows us the chance to scout the potential of the likes of Leighton Baines and Romelu Lukaku.

Second only to Chelsea’s Marcos Alonso for points per match amongst defenders, Baines has reclaimed penalty duties from Lukaku and has served up two goals, a pair of assists and a couple of clean sheets in his last seven outings.

Lukaku, meanwhile, has upped his output in recent matches, with four goals and an assist in six. A convincing display against City could see his 24% Fantasy Premier League ownership on the rise, particularly if Diego Costa and Olivier Giroud fail to recover from injury in time for next weekend.

Sergio Aguero rolls up to Merseyside having netted twice in four of his seven away appearances.

Yet it’s a sign of his erratic displays under Pep Guardiola that only 9% of FPL managers have handed the City striker the armband.

Nonetheless, that still makes Aguero the fourth most captained player for Gameweek 21 and, having scored in both matches since returning from suspension, his 22% owners will be optimistic he can maintain that momentum.

Ronaldo Koeman’s men have been no pushovers in front of their own fans, though, conceding just seven times – only Spurs and Chelsea boast better defensive home records.

think I need a 3rd Spurs player to go with Alli & Kane, which pairing would you prioritise?

    A - Baines + Eriksen
    B - Rose/ Walker + 9.0 MID (Ozil / Iwobi / Stanislas / ???)

      Go Walker and Pedro/Antonio?

Having said that, A is probably best since There's great value for less in defence, whereas no-one's really at Eriksen's level at this moment except maybe Sanchez, or cheapies like Stan, who won't score nearly as much

    That's it Pep

Play the leagues best finisher in midfield and put the prems worse finisher on end of everything. Go back to Spain

At least Pelligrini kept it simple & meant we could pick Kun safe in knowledge he was lethal. Pep has ruined one of the best ever FPL captains. Thanks Pep!

Yeah. Has nothing to do with fluidity and Sterling just making the runs to get into the position. Trying to use his pace.

This is horrendous from Everton. Just sitting back in numbers, no pressing and losing the ball so cheaply when they get it

As a United fan, this city team reminds of of LVGs United. Fairly pointless possession. (OK, they're not LVG bad but u get my point)

Understand your point but they've had 3 solid chances (Two Sterling and the Silva)...so they're creating. No finishing though

aguero has never played this deep before this season, i think its what pep wants him to do but it takeaway so much from his game imo. let him be a poacher and roam

      too short-sighted by Pep.
Could do it at Barca & Bayern when there were plenty of goal scorers in the team but City don't have that luxury.
Sterling not a natural goal scorer, KDB only 2 this season, Silva 1.
