Gameweek 12 comes to its conclusion at the Amex Stadium this evening as Brighton entertain Stoke at 8pm.

For the hosts, Pascal Gross has been the standout asset in Fantasy Premier League (FPL).

Sitting in over 19% of FPL squads, the playmaker has averaged 7.2 points per match (ppm) in front of his own fans – when on the pitch, he’s played a part in 83% of their home goals.

Four strikes in the Seagulls’ last three league outings have brought Glenn Murray (5.8) onto our radars as a potential budget frontman – over 112,000 acquired him for Gameweek 12.

Up against a defence that has conceded at least twice in six of their last eight, Murray is the most captained player for tonight’s encounter, handed the armband by 6,868 managers compared with Gross’ 3,904 backers.

The Potters’ two most popular players, Eric Choupo-Moting (5.8%) and Xherdan Shaqiri (5.3%), have struggled on their travels, with just an away assist between them (for the latter) in five road trips.

Yet the duo’s home form means that, overall, they’ve still averaged a decent 4.0 and 4.5 ppm respectively this season. And clashes with Palace and Swansea in the next three could warrant further attention for the midfield pair.

Brighton, though, have been fairly resilient at home – league leaders Manchester City, in a 2-0 win in Gameweek 1, are the only side to have scored more than one goal away to Chris Hughton’s men.

Rare to have 2 defenders from the same team. It's probably warranted though for Burnley

All of those can apply to Ward though except for the last one, but then again I bought him at 4.5 and has risen to 5.0. Suppose Mee has been in better form of late but I think Ward at least warrants a spot

Groß is actually better than prime Siggy. In years to come we will remember fondly the year you could get Groß & Richarlison for 11.5m & say "it was just better back then".

Any other Stones owners lookign to Monreal (5.6) as a potential replacement?

Next too are at Burnley, home to Huddersfield; good player as won't be prone for Xmas period rotation; Arsenal only have one difficult fixture (MANU at home) before Dec 22.

    Can see decent value there.

Can't afford Kola as have only 5.6m to spend. Would be able to if Jones or Femenia confirmed out but would require a -4 then to get three defenders out there.

Anyone else tempted to downgrade Lukaku > Niasse if he doesn't haul v Brighton? His next 3 are then Watford away, Arsenal away, Man City home... is he likely to score well in those 3?

Swapping him for Niasse allows squad below, which I have to say I am rather tempted by all the different formation options:

    DDG, Elliott
    Alonso, Jones, Daniels, Moreno, Mee
    Salah, Pogba, Sterling, Richarlison, Groß
    Kane, Morata, Niasse

That is almost exactly my WC team from last week 😀 I have Azpi, Sane and Duffy instead of Alonso, Jones and Pogba but that was before Pogback 🙂

Yeah, for sure. It's a shame I didn't play him but then I wasn't going to play him over Kane or Sterling and everyone else got returns. Just hoping there's no ban now!
