Is now the time to give up on the premium strikers – we’re looking at you Harry – and throw our cash at a “power five” midfield?

It’s a big question that requires a crack team to answer.

Unfortunately, we only have the ScoutCast crew available, though we did manage to pull off a big loan signing to help us out.

Jay Eggersdorf – the current “live” Hall of Fame number one joins Jonty, Andy and Az as we take on the big topic of the day.

In the middle of another stunning season – Jay reveals his strategy behind his recent move to shed Kane on the back of another impressive points tally.

Then on 44 minutes, Jay’s phone is almost drained of life. Tickled by the on-camera events that follow, Jonty and Az struggle to hold it together to discuss the recruitment of Paul Pogba and the merits of West Ham investment before we look ahead to Gameweek 19.

It’s an intense 90-minutes, with the frivolity of this “festive” ScoutCast limited to silly jumpers and hats. Though we each get the opportunity to reveal our Christmas wish.

Just one wafer-thin hat-trick please Harry.

This ScoutCast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel on Tuesday evening. Be sure to subscribe to get notice of future live episodes.

If you’re a traditional type, you can acquire the mp3 audio version via this link on the first player below, or take in the full visual experience via the second player below.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Is there a single West Ham mid/fwd you're considering for DGW22?

Is Obiang at 4.4m possibly the best option?

Can anyone explain Tom Carroll's price changes?

Has dropped for 2nd time in 4 gameweeks but has only 30,000 less owners than his gameweek 1 ownership (around 10% overall).

Peaked 100,000 owners above his gameweek 1 ownership level (in GW9, a 35% increase) but never rose in price.

No one can explain that. Mbemba were over 98 in fpl stats for 4 weeks and people were buying him a lot in the beginning of the season but he never rose.

    2. Lazaretti

Yes very good change. Aguero is still one of the best finishers in the league. He has been bit out of form but when he gets it going he could easily do 2 or 3 goals bcs City are playing so well atm. More or less same with Kane as individual but Spurs are not playing that good so that is why I've chosen to go with Aguero. Kane will be back for dbl gw.

    Speroni (Pope)
    Alonso Otamendi Ogbonna (Daniels Hunemeier)
    Hazard Salah Sterling Richarlison RLC
    Kane Morata (DCL)

    1FT, 0.5m ITB. Which move?
    (A) Morata and RLC to Depoitre/Quaner/Austin and Coutinho/Sane/KDB/Pogba (-4) (But can't afford both Austin and KDB)
    (B) Morata and RLC to Rooney and Pogba (-4)
    (C) Save FT, hold Morata, play RLC and DCL.

What do you think about my premium FWD strategy?

    Kane > Kun > Morata > Kane

    GW19: Kun (BOU)
    GW20: Morata (BRI)
    GW21: Morata (STO)
    GW22: Kane (swa, WHU)

    Advantages:
    - Good fixture every week
    - No rotation risk (Kun is very likely to start this week after 120 min. Jesus midweek, Morata will be back from 3GWs of rest)
    - Strong captaincy candidates

    Disadvantages:
    - Requires 3 transfer in 4 weeks
