A Gameweek under lights has been thrown into mild turmoil by key injuries and breaking transfer speculation. It remains to be seen if Fantasy managers can still emerge from such a scenario with big scores.

Tuesday eases us in with three of the ten fixtures, with the John Smith’s Stadium undoubtedly the main focus.

That’s the venue for Huddersfield Town’s clash with a Liverpool side awash with key Fantasy assets, including the top scoring and top owned pick, Mohamed Salah.

The Egyptian heads into this clash with an incredible record of a goal or an assist in 13 of his last 15 appearances and, having blanked in the 1-0 defeat to Swansea last time out, he is understandably backed to deliver.

Roberto Firmino’s record is also strong. The Brazilian has produced double-digits in three of his last five away days, while he scored against the Terriers at Anfield back in Gameweek 10.

Both start, though Jurgen Klopp’s teamsheet springs one major surprise, with Virgil van Dijk – brought in by 41,000 ahead of tonight’s deadline – left on the bench, presumably rested for the weekend visit of Spurs.

His height could be missed in the Liverpool backline given that the Terriers have chosen to opt for both Laurent Depoitre and Steve Mounie as a pair in attack. David Wagner also bids to mimic Swansea’s stubborn performance against the Reds by deploying a back five.

Elsewhere tonight, it’s Arsenal’s turn to try and break down the Swans’ rearguard with Arsene Wenger choosing to leave new signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan on the bench at the Liberty Stadium.

Meanwhile, an injury-ravaged West Ham host Crystal Palace at the London Stadium, with a number of key Fantasy assets on the sidelines.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Want to get rid of son to a cheaper mid to release some funds which of these mid priced midfielders would you pick and why?
    Lingard
    Ramsey
    Willian
    Arnautovic
    Richarlison
    Iwobi
Obviously arnautovic and Willian aren't fully fit but assuming everyone is fully fit who do you think are the best options?

      - Fully fit then Arnie is your best option. But that's no good if he isn't going to play.
      - Lingard may benefit from Sanchez arrival so watch the next United game.
      - I doubt Iwobi will start with Mhiki's arrival.
      - Ramsey instantly got his starting spot back from the in form Wilshere and returned points before his most recent injury.
      - Willian is a beast but a rotation risk, especially with CL returning.
      - Rich, meh. Too hot and cold for me.

Lingard seems like a very good option if he starts gameside alongside alexis
Ramsey I didn't realise he started today I thought xhaka Wilshire would be starting more often so Ramsey could be a good shout if he remains nailed on.
Willian I think is the best option if all of these guys are nailed on and fit but unfortunately will never be nailed on under conte it seems arnautovic is also an outstanding option considering he is oop but injury rules him out. Despite the underlying stats he produces I think richarlison is the worst option in this list the thing that makes me consider him is the underlying stats and the fact he is the most nailed on option I have out of these players. I like the look of iwobi 5.1 for an arsenal attacking midfielder would be perfect but I agree with you with mkhitaryan it will most likely be ozil mkhitaryan lacazette up front with iwobi coming off the bench.
Thanks for the long reply explaining your thoughts

    Morning.

Some early transfer considerations for the next gameweek.

    DDG
    Alonso Azpi Schindler Ogbonna
    Salah Sterling Son Shaqiri
    Kane Firmino

    Speroni Kenny RLC DCL

    1 FT 1.3 ITB

All of my bench needs fixing obviously. Where to start?

    A) RLC > mid up to 5.8 perhaps Albrighton
    B) DCL > fwd up to 6.5 potentially Wilson
    C) Kenny > def up to 5.7 maybe Jones or Monreal (but this would probably change the team structure to be too heavy at the back).

MANCHESTER -- Pep Guardiola says it will be difficult to complete a deadline day deal for Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez.

Sources have told ESPN FC that Manchester City are considering a bid for the Algerian winger, with the BBC reporting that Mahrez, 26, has handed in a transfer request.

But ESPN FC has been told that Leicester City will not allow him to leave unless they receive an extraordinary offer for the 2016 Player of the Year, which would break City's club record £57m spent on French defender Aymeric Laporte on Tuesday.

"Right now, it's the same as [Alexis] Sanchez and Laporte, it's not the place to talk about it," Guardiola told a news conference when asked about Mahrez ahead of Wednesday night's clash with West Bromwich Albion.

"It's so difficult. it happened with Laporte because it's a buy-out clause, when you have to negotiate it's always so complicated."

The City boss has confirmed that he will be without Germany winger Leroy Sane for "six or seven weeks" because of an ankle ligament injury while striker Gabriel Jesus is not expected back for at least two more weeks.

Guardiola said that they have decided to consider January moves with their squad stretched with those injuries adding to those suffered by Benjamin Mendy, Vincent Kompany and John Stones during the season.

City are still competing in four competition having reached the Carabao Cup final and have favourable draws against FC Basel in the Champions League and Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup. If they win one or both as expected, it would make a busy end to the season even more congested.

"I have interest in a lot of players, good players, there are many, the window is open until the 31st," he said. "We spoke many times with the club to see what is the best with the players we have.

"Right now we have just three strikers with Raheem [Sterling], for the next month or month-and-a-half. Gabriel is coming maybe in the next five or six weeks, we don't have too much and we play every three days. We have to find solutions.

"We played the season with no left-back, we had Mendy but he's out for six months, so we adapted Danilo, Fabian Delph and [Oleksandr] Zinchenko.

"We played almost all the season without Vincent and we did really well. We overcame the situations with John Stones and Nico [Otamendi], an amazing couple. We have to adapt, if David [Silva] or Kevin [De Bruyne] have to play on the wing, we can adapt several positions to do it.

"I said to the club if Laporte can come now -- we were going to do it in the summer -- but if he can come now then it's better, maybe he can help us. If things are not possible, then nothing is going to happen.

"What they have done -- I have to trust them. But of course we are thinking about this summer, next summer -- the future."

Nothing, until you got to make another transfer. When you go to make your next transfer the game will recognise that you have 4 city players and will not let you complete your transfers until you are back down to 3. That being said if you chose not to make any transfers then the game will proceed as normal.

Having one Liverpool defender is probably a mistake, having two is just careless.

Who will be your captain for next GW:
Spurs and Liverpool will face each other and City have a tough game away to Burnley.
Can we count on Man Utd assets against HUD?

      I’m on Hazard (c)

However, would like to watch him tonight. Simply because I have enough money ITB to upgrade him to San(c)hez.

I'm doing Son to Sanchez for the easiest captain choice of the season... Watch him blank 😉

    Who would you change?

    DDG 3.9

    Jones Otamendi Alonso Mbemba 3.9

    Salah Sterling Son Lingard Milivojevic

    Agüero Kane Quaner

Consider an Otamendi downgrade to strengthen your bench options.

Or Son > a player with better fixtures

              That’s a difficult one.
Could double up on United with Pogba.
              Shaqiri
              Walcott
              Mkhitarian

See how they all do tonight.

                I have DDG/Jones/Lingard.

Will keep tabs on the rest. Possibly Willian if fit for Watford.

      Personally I'd downgrade Son.

I haven't watched highlights but Mhiki would be tempting. Leaves you a touch of spare cash. Upgrade elsewhere. Assuming 0 ITB.

I was considering that mate, couple of tough fixtures make that decision a little easier too.

        I don’t need Firmino do I?

With Aguero and Kane your midfield would struggle IMO.

honestly think arsenal would be better if they just swapped michy with giroud.... really like batshuayi, really underused players, looks to be one of the chelsea rejects to make a name for himself

Agreed, Batshuayi is a good striker with good movement. I think he would suit Arsenal.

Do we think Ulloa could be the cheap 3rd striker we've been waiting for?

Brighton forums seem to think he'll be their main striker
