Sky Sports Focus

We now switch focus away from Wildcards and Double Gameweeks to focus on the Sky Sports game, as we cast our minds back to the previous round of action before preparing you for the incoming fixtures.

We’ll examine the recent run of Man of the Match (MoTM) awards, the bonus point beneficiaries, transfer trends and Watchlist, before moving on to the Scout team and our future plans.

Gameweek 32 Man of the Match Awards

These were the players who caught the eye of the Sky Sports reporters and earned an extra five points as a result.

FixtureMoTM
Bournemouth vs West BromSalomon Rondon
Stoke vs EvertonCenk Tosun
Huddersfield vs Crystal PalaceJames Tomkins
Liverpool vs WatfordMohamed Salah

Mohamed Salah continues to march towards the highest total ever recorded in the Sky Sports game after his eleventh award of the season and a stunning 36-point return.

Given the reduced Gameweek, most will also have captained him to earn 72 points.

A nod to Cenk Tosun, who has featured in our Watchlist for the last few weeks. The 0.1%-owned asset has started to settle at Goodison Park and could be a viable pick for those chasing a differential.

Gameweek 32 Bonus Points

Let’s take a look at any player to earn 45 points or more in bonus for the season

Here I aim to highlight a few differential players with low ownership who I think could be good options for the coming six weeks.

Notes

There’s not too much to report this week due to the reduced fixture list last time out.

Thankfully I kept pace with the pack by giving Salah the armband – I had considered Roberto Firmino instead.

This week I think I’ll look to draft in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang at the expense of the semi-successful Christian Benteke punt I made a few weeks back. The Arsenal striker offers some favourable captaincy matchdays coming up and is still owned by just 2.3%, so hopefully, he can help me enjoy a rise in the rankings.

Others on my radar include Romelu Lukaku and Willian but, with only seven transfers (soon to be six) remaining, I think I’ll wait a couple of weeks in case surgery is required due to any end of season injuries or rotation issues.

Captain Plan

Sat 31st March – Mohamed Salah
Sun 1st April – Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

As well as the weekly Focus article, I’ll be talking through the week’s action, and upcoming plans with FFS posters Buffrey and Lewis on our regular podcast – the latest episode can be found here.

Question marks about his nailed-on ness with Arsenal focusing on the Europa League.

Mkhi is too good value to ignore and Wilshere gives you pretty much the same as Ramsey for less. Lots are avoiding Mkhi due to rotation fears, and if he's not worth it, neither is Ramsey.

Tripled up on Auba, Mkhi and Monreal myself (not on WC)

Is this lot a good wildcard team?

    de Gea, Ryan
    Vertonghen, Mustafi, Smalling, Lowton, Morgan
    Salah, Mahrez, Son, Willian, Gudmundsson
    Lukaku, Aubameyang, Barnes

Arsenal has two good fixtures. Before the double game week I will do Mustafi and Aubameyang -> Alonso and Vardy. Make this sense?

    Thank you!

What would you do here? Plan is to WC in GW36, 0.8itb

    Foster (Elliot)
    Otamendi Dunk Mee (Coleman PVA)
    Salah Mané Walcott Stanislas (Choupo)
    Firmino Wilson Kane

I’m stuck with the Kane question mark.

    A) Walcott and Kane > Mahrez and Lukaku for -4
    B) Kane > Lukaku for free
    C) Choupo > Gross for free and bench Kane

    Thanks

Tough one. Would hurt to lose Kane for Lukaku, only for him to come back against Stoke. However, whith Lukaku's DGW fixtures I'd probably risk it.

And yes, get rid of Walcott too. A

Kun Agüero won't be avalaible against Everton. He is feeling much better but they decide in the training of this morning to wait and won't risk until he is 100% fit. He is doubt for Liverpool game (now is more % that he won't play than yes),but depends on the evolution this days.

    Pope, Begovic,

I had enough money to sell Firmino for Kane if he comes back.

Seeing lots of WC teams with Willian and Smalling. I think it's worth going for Haz and Valencia over these two and making comprimises elsewhere for the sake of naildness. Gudmundsson over Son (who will be a rotation risk when Kane is fit) for example

Getting tired of thinking of the DGWs, looking forward to the transfer window now 😛 Anyone have any specific wishes? These are my three hopes

    ● Mourinho leaves, attacking manager arrives (Utd attackers should be docked in price this season, could mean some bargains in their ranks)
    ● Leicester makes some good signings (A real No. 10, signing Dragovic, and a couple of good defenders amongst some others could really become a Top 6 team imo especially if they keep Mahrez)
    ● Kane and Salah stay (would make next season really, really interesting - if only to see Mark continue captaining Salah over Kane)

Willian > Groß, Upgrade some of those poor lonely feckers in your defence.

I was more thinking Vardy to Murray?

            Vardy to barnes

I have Alonso in my current team.

With this Kane news, it’s all the more tempting to ship him out as he’s so expensive

That works too. Rotation coming for Murray though

On WC not totally template abit different which I quite like thoughts?

      Pope
      Daniels Schelotto Lowton
      Lingard Sane Salah Mahrez Willian
      Aubameyang (©) Kane

      Subs:Ryan,Barnes,VDH & Morgan

I'm aware Kane is a touch & go for Sunday but planning in advance as I don't want to risk leaving £ ITB and he rises and miss out.

Guys not to be repetitive but DGW37 looks so much more tailor made for BB.

Budget options from DGW34 are limited to Barnes/Murray/Godmundson/GroB

While DGW37 is more lucrative with options such

      Fabianski
      Kenedy
      Arnautovic
      City assets like B.Silva
      Arsenal assets like Mkhi/Auba
      Ayew brothers

In summary: DGW34 is more quality than quantity compared to DGW37. Just need to find the hero TC option in DGW34.

You're going to bench Aubameyang, Silva and Mkhi?

Matter of fact, you're going to bench expensive Ayew and Arnie?

No transfer them in by downgrading players in time for DGW37

Why wil city top assets play? Tehy would have won league by gw 37?
Why would Arsenal play first team? Only way to play ucl is europa for them

Auba will play almost all league matches. City is difficult to call, my point is that options such as Fabianski/Ayew/Kenedy/Arnie are much better than Gross and Barnes.

      0.2 short of Barnes and gross.Shall I:
      1) leave it as it is with Murray and gudmondson
      2) downgrade ddg to lloris
      3)downgrade Alonso to Azpi
