Our partner game Yahoo are offering yet another big-money contest for Fantasy managers this weekend.

They have a Premier League £2k Saturday contest which takes in all six of that day’s matches from 3pm onwards, finishing with the 5.30pm kick-off between Swansea City and Chelsea at the Liberty Stadium.

The contest is guaranteed to run, costs £5 to enter and is a multi-entry game, which means you can select up to four teams. The top 100 places pay out – there’s a minimum win-back of £10, with £200 going to the first place.

Driven by Opta data, the Yahoo game has a unique scoring system which is ideal for those members of our community on the lookout for a Daily Fantasy Sports game.

If you’re new to Yahoo, you can sign up and claim a free £50 in credit to your account when you deposit just £5. Promo code: Fantasy50.

Before getting started on your lineup, it’s worth checking out our Strategy Guide, which assesses the types of players who profit from the rule set.

FFS Strongest XI

Martin Dubravka – £14
Victor Moses – £16
Florent Hadergjonaj – £10
James Tarkowski – £14
Johann Berg Gudmundsson – £17
Riyad Mahrez – £24
Willian – £22
Luka Milivojevic – £18
Wilfried Zaha – £23
Ayoze Perez – £17
Charlie Austin – £18

A home encounter with West Brom brings Newcastle’s Martin Dubravka into our weekend line-up. Rafa Benitez’s side have been in fine form at both ends of the pitch in front of their own fans, winning each of the last four at St James’ Park in a run that has seen them concede just one goal. Meanwhile, the Baggies arrive having scored just nine goals away from home. The Yahoo scoring system – which awards goalkeepers points for wins or draws and double the number of points as defenders for a clean sheet – should benefit the on-loan Slovakian.

A goal and assist away to Burnley last time out highlights the attacking threat of Victor Moses as Chelsea make their way to Swansea. Now up to three goals and five assists for the season, the right wing-back has fired 31 attempts on goal – a tally bettered only by his suspended team-mate Marcos Alonso among Yahoo defenders. Given that the Swans have scored just two goals in their last five league matches, Antonio Conte’s side could be in line for a fifteenth clean sheet of the campaign in Saturday’s late kick-off.

Huddersfield’s Florent Hadergjonaj looks a snip at just £10 for the visit of Everton. Over his last six matches, the raiding right-back is joint-top among defenders for chances created (11) and sits second and first respectively for crosses (47) and successful crosses (11). David Wagner’s men have upped their resilience at the John Smith’s of late, chalking up a pair of clean sheets in their last three home matches.

A home encounter with Brighton bodes well for Burnley’s James Tarkowski. Although The Clarets are without a clean sheet in the last five, their opponents have struggled for a cutting edge on the road and have failed to score in seven of their last ten away matches. At home, Tarkowski is ranked among Burnley’s top two players for successful tackles (23), interceptions (28) and blocks (18).

A Yahoo favourite, Johann Berg Gudmundsson offers multiple routes into the points for Burnley’s showdown with Brighton. In the last six matches, the Icelandic international has delivered four assists and sits among the top two players for crosses (64) and successful crosses (15). Gudmundsson has recorded 14 shots and as many key passes, supplementing this with eight successful tackles and six interceptions in that period.

Riyad Mahrez is our preferred Leicester pick for the trip to a Crystal Palace side that’s without a clean sheet in their last five at Selhurst Park. Away from home, the Algerian has played a part in 44% of his side’s goals when on the pitch – more than Jamie Vardy’s 41%. Mahrez is ranked first for shots (36), key passes (22) and fouls won (26) among the Foxes’ contingent on the road and claims second spot for successful crosses and shots on target (14 apiece).

Rested for Chelsea’s second match of Double Gameweek 34, we expect Willian to return to the teamsheet for the trip to Swansea. Over his last six matches, the Brazilian has tallied two goals and an assist, recording more shots (19) and efforts on target (ten) than any team-mate, in addition to supplying 15 key passes. The Swans, meanwhile, have one clean sheet in seven attempts, conceding 14 times in that run.

With three goals and two assists apiece over their last six matches, Luka Milivojevic and Wilfried Zaha will be key figures as Crystal Palace look to clinch survival at home to Leicester.

Dead-ball specialist Milivojevic is among the Eagles’ top three players for both successful tackles (13) and interceptions (13) during this period, completing more passes (237) than any team-mate.

Meanwhile, Zaha’s new role up front means that he leads the way for shots (12), efforts in the box (seven) and attempts on target (seven) for Roy Hodgson’s side. Furthermore, he has been fouled 16 times from Gameweek 30 onwards, more than any player in the Premier League.

Ayoze Perez has been instrumental in Newcastle’s recent improvement, thanks to three goals and a pair of assists in the last four Gameweeks. A total of 13 efforts on goal in that period is more than any player from Yahoo’s Saturday contest, with the Spaniard’s work-rate – seven successful tackles and four interceptions – also profiting from the scoring system. He now faces a West Brom backline that have managed just two clean sheets in their last 16 road trips.

Back on the Southampton teamsheet for last weekend’s FA Cup semi-final clash with Chelsea, Charlie Austin looks set to lead the line for a vital home encounter against Bournemouth. With Mark Hughes’ men in desperate need of the points, Austin’s threat in the box could punish a Cherries defence that has managed just one clean sheet in their last 22 attempts. In an injury-hit season, Austin’s average of 104 minutes per goal is bettered only by Mohamed Salah (85.7) and Sergio Aguero (93.8) in 2017/18.

As Yahoo allows late swaps up until each kick-off, our listed line-up may well be subject to change.

The Weekend Contests

As well as the Premier League £2k Saturday contest, Yahoo are also offering a pair of Premier League £1k Sunday contest.

This consists of both matches from that day – West Ham vs Man City and Man United vs Arsenal – and finishes with Monday’s 8pm encounter at Wembley between Spurs and Watford.

Guaranteed to run, this costs £5 to enter and is a multi-entry game, which means you can select up to two teams. The top 50 places pay out – there’s a minimum win-back of £10, with £100 going to the first place.

You can open an account and get started immediately.

If you register and deposit £5 or more, Yahoo will also give you a £50 bonus to be used as cash to enter paid contests.

    Alonso & Mahrez > Cedric & Sterling

    Kane - Lukaku - Barnes

I'd rather have Salah but City players are also welcome. Mahrez is definitely out. The second player to trade is my main concern. You think is better to keep Son than Lukaku?
