Best Bournemouth players to sign on FPL in 2018/19 – The Complete Members’ Analysis

Josh King, Charlie Daniels, Junior Stanislas, Nathan Ake: Bournemouth players have mostly been good to Fantasy managers since the club’s promotion to the Premier League in 2015, offering decent returns for minimal investment.

Last season’s offerings were something of a disappointment from a Fantasy perspective, however, with no Bournemouth player reaching double figures for goals, assists or clean sheets.

King scored half as many goals (eight) as he managed in 2016/17, while Jordan Ibe’s total of six assists was the best any Cherries player could muster.

The Bournemouth defence was particularly porous, meanwhile, keeping only six clean sheets (a league-low shared with relegated Stoke City) in their 38 league matches.

Part of Bournemouth’s appeal from a Fantasy standpoint is that by now we mostly know what to expect from the south coast side. Eddie Howe is the longest-serving manager in the Premier League, following Arsene Wenger’s departure from Arsenal, having been on the books at the Vitality Stadium for well over five years. Many of Bournemouth’s players have also been with the club for an extended period: King, Daniels, Stanislas, Ryan Fraser, Adam Smith, Simon Francis, Steve Cook and Callum Wilson, among others, have featured in all three seasons that the Cherries have spent in the top flight.

While Howe’s formation is far from settled, having flip-flopped between a conventional back four and a three-man defence last season, the Cherries’ mantra remains comfortingly consistent: attack and attack some more.

    Can someone please explain to me why people are changing their captain every gameday this round? According to the rules, if I change captain midround then I lose automatic substitution, making my bench invalid. So if someone doesn't start then I have no substitute? I'm looking for answers, not criticism (Epic Fail, TH14)

      You can change captain and subs every day.
      So put the players that play earliest in the team and sub them off if they don't play/ get a bad score.
      Same with captain- set it to your 1st player that plays and gamble if you think someone else can do better.

      "In doubt" the only thing we have. Pekerman is "extremely concerned" but at the same time, we have ElChiringuito (tv station) saying its not a bad injury and that he will play.

      Stay clear is my advice.

      Some good differentials in there. Varela definitely not nailed to start though.

      Also, I don't like having expensive attackers against a defence I've got players from. So if CR7 scores, your Muslera/Varela picks haven't worked out. If Uruguay keep a clean sheet, CR7 has blanked. So maybe downgrade Ronaldo and switch Varela to Godin?
