Sign up now for next Fantasy Football Scout Charity Cup

February 24th 2018. The big winners were Liverpool and Brighton, who each recorded 4-1 victories in their respective triumphs over West Ham and Championship-bound Swansea.

However, in north London, under the banner of Sparta Rotterdam, a team of FFScout luminaries were also celebrating, as they lifted the inaugural Fantasy Football Scout Charity Cup. A real-life football tournament which brought to together over 30 grassroots players from around the country.

The Charity Cup is returning on the afternoon of Saturday 17 November 2018 (during the international break) and promises to be bigger and better than ever.

The format will depend on numbers, but with a full 3G 11-a-side pitch (which can also be divided) available to us all afternoon between 2pm and 7pm, we have the capacity and flexibility to structure the day however we wish.

We are extremely fortunate to have secured The Thomas Parmiter Sports Centre in north Watford (WD25 0UU), which is a fabulous facility and is perfectly located just minutes away from Junction 6 of the M1 and Junction 21A of the M25.

For those travelling up from London by train, Garston Station is just 1.5 miles away. We will have the entire venue to ourselves with ample parking and with a number of pubs barely a mile away.

Anyone and everyone is welcome to take part, whatever the level and whether you are fit enough to play all day or just make a cameo appearance. We’ll be organising players into squads so you don’t need to round up a team yourself, although feel free to bring invite a guest player or two to boost the numbers.

All you need to do is email peter.kouwenberg76@gmail.com as soon as possible to confirm your interest and provide your contact details, at which point you’ll be added to the relevant WhatsApp group unless you would prefer to be kept informed by email or text instead.

February’s tournament proved a huge success and raised over £1,000 for Melanoma Research Foundation. This year we hope to raise more even money, involve even more as we donate to men’s mental health charity CALM.

The Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) is dedicated to preventing male suicide, the single biggest killer of men under the age of 45 in the UK. On average, 12 men take their own life every day – more than three times the number of women.

Two of my uncles committed suicide so I personally think it’s a great cause. CALM works to prevent male suicide by providing services for men who are down or in crisis, and by campaigning for culture change so men feel able to seek help.

To donate please visit our JustGiving page:

All money raised will go directly to the charity, so please give generously.

CALM’s helpline – 0800 58 58 58 – and webchat are open daily 5pm-midnight. It’s free, anonymous and confidential.

For more information about CALM and the impact your donation will have, please read here.

CALM is a charity registered in England and Wales (1110621) and in Scotland (SC044347)

Last week I managed to move out Bilva for Pogba. I was okay with being patient with Pogs, but after all the press from last night, I’m thinking about back tracking. Thoughts?

why is this suddenly a poor fixture for pool attacking assets when sarri's chelsea give up at keast 6 or 7 guilt edged chances per game ? (to the point where he has decided Kante's best quality is as an attacking MF).I think this is the best possible time for pool to play them.

It’s suddenly a poor fixture for Salah, because a lot of people are selling him and are trying to justify it. Happens every time.

ive seen plenty mention getting rid of mane to. its madness. when pool come undone its often against lower table teams who play defensively. its like people have totally ignored klopp (and mo's) record against the top 4).

Just noticed Peltier played vs City.

What's the story there? Back in the team properly or just tactical move that failed.

I am captaining Salah, determined to captain him for the first 8 weeks, so far I have lost out on 20pts if I had captained Aguero on the obvious weeks. However, it is a pretty good feeling having Salah be your captain differential.

    Decisions, decisions....

I have 2 free transfers and a wildcard (in my back pocket)

    I can do:

    A) Salah and King to Rich and Kane for free.

    B) Dilva, VVD and King to Hojbjurg, Doherty and Kane -4

    C) VVD and King to Trippier and Mitro

    D) Dilva and Quaner to Rich and Mitro

    Thoughts?

I can easily captain Aguero this week and, tbh, I'm little anxious about losing Salah in what could be a goal glutton game v Chelsea

Seriously tempted by Kane(c) as a powerful differential

    Patricio (Fabianski)
    Mendy, AWB, Alonso, S.Cook (Robertson)
    Haz, Mane Moura Fraser (Cairney)
    Aguero (C) King (Arnie)

Used FT to bring in walker for Wendy. Shall I do:

    A) King to Mitrovic for a -4 hit?
    B) Arnie to Mitrovic for a -4 hit?
    C) Any other suggestions?
