The winners of our FFS Cup competitions revealed

Gameweek 26 marked the climax of both of our Fantasy Football Scout cup competitions.

We were guaranteed first-time winners in both cups and there were upsets of sorts in the two finals, with the Fantasy managers with the lower overall ranks triumphing.

Man-Chest-Heir F.C is the new champion of our free-to-all FFS Cup, having seen off Get It Inter Ya 67-57 in the final this weekend.

Man-Chest-Heir F.C came into Gameweek 26 ranked 124,414th in the world and despite suffering a small red arrow, still had enough to overcome Get It Inter Ya, who sat just inside the top 1,000 ahead of Saturday’s deadline (981st).

The two finalists ended up calling on two automatic substitutions due to injury, illness and/or rotation, with Marcus Rashford‘s (£7.8m) no-show at Craven Cottage affecting both managers.

Get It Inter Ya drafted in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (£11.1m) to their squad, along with Diogo Jota (£6.0m), but saw the Gabonese forward fail to feature for Arsenal on Saturday due to illness.

The high-ranking finalist also benched Leroy Sane (£9.5m), who Man-Chest-Heir F.C kept hold of and started in Gameweek 26 – only for the German winger to remain an unused substitute in Manchester City’s 6-0 win over Chelsea.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka (£4.6m), Paul Pogba (£8.8m), Mohamed Salah (£13.6m) and Raúl Jiménez (£6.8m) were the four playing assets that the two managers shared.

The pair had a similar spread of points in midfield and attack, though the collective haul of Neil Etheridge (£4.7m), Andrew Robertson (£6.8m) and Aymeric Laporte (£5.9m) effectively secured the victory for Man-Chest-Heir F.C.

FFS Members Cup

Jay # becomes the latest winner of our FFS Members Cup, having beaten Jambo17 78-69 in the Gameweek 26 final.

The latter manager came into this weekend ranked an impressive 99th in the world, with his opponent sitting in 59,782nd position.

Both managers took hits in Gameweek 26, with Jay # taking a minus eight to ditch Sane, Richarlison (£6.6m) and Aubameyang in favour of Pogba, Son Heung-min (£8.9m) and Alexandre Lacazette (£9.5m).

Jambo17 shipped out Troy Deeney (£5.9m) and – crucially – Raheem Sterling (£11.3m) in order to buy Son and Jimenez.

Jay # kept hold of Sterling for his 18-point return against Maurizio Sarri’s side, while Jambo17 banked 17 points for Sergio Aguero‘s (£11.5m) hat-trick.

The two managers both benefitted from the points scored by Pogba, Salah, Son, Jimenez and Matt Doherty (£5.4m), with the returns of Lacazette, Robertson and Etheridge effectively handing Jay # his winning margin.

A very well done to both our winners and commiserations to our two losing finalists after such a great run.

The FFS Cup will return for the closing months of the campaign, with details to be announced soon.

    Better move? 2FT, 0.1 ITB.

    A. Sane -> Pogba/F.Anderson and then Auba/Hazard -> Aguero/Sterling before GW28?
    B. Only replace Sane with either Pogba/F.Anderson and save 2nd FT.

            Agreed. If I'm honest, I didn't realise how often gambling was advertised until I stopped gambling a few years ago. Then all of a sudden, it appeared to be everywhere

                    Have a couple of cash MLs which add to the interest. A work one with about 12 in and a larger one which has grown to about 40 this season. Keeps the interest going for me personally

              I lived in Australia for a couple of years - it's everywhere there and going the same way here.

                    Don't remember, but there were pokies (slot machines) or rooms dedicated to them in every bar and pub and club and hotel.

                    I'm not necessarily anti-gambling, I did it as a job (trading for banks). But I am anti promoting gambling to kids and young people, and our getting to a taking the p!ss level in terms of their advertising and normalised social influence.

                  It's basically saying advertisers should take targeted and wider audience into acount
                  e.g. that under-18s are not likely to comprise more than 25% of the audience, so places more onus on them to use platform data/tools to make sure.

              I have 2 FT's and 2.5 itb.

              I think the logical/template move would be:

              A) Alonso + Richarlison -> Pereira + F. Anderson

              However I am strongly considering:

              B) Alonso + Richarlison + Quaner -> Bednarek + McNeil + Aubameyang (-4)

              If nothing else the flexibility of switching Auba to Kane or Aguero in a few gw's makes B stand out for me, any feedback would be appreciated though.

                I don't think it's a great plan mate. If you can pick a solid captain you could do ok.
                Take a hit or 2 tops and save the FH for a double. Potentially you will gain much more than getting 11 players out this week (who aren't guaranteed to do well seeing what is on offer)

                Having Son as captain, Arnie or F Anderson. Or even Rondon or Almiron could be great signings and score well this week.

                I definitely wouldn't advise the FH in GW 27

                Ordinarily I would say possibly for the Liverpool/Man U reason. However there aren't many games this week where you would expect a tonking (Arsenal and Spurs are probably the only ones with a half-decent chance), so a FH team could well be a flop.

                Especially after so many fallow years and brought the feeel good factor back to the club with fantastically exciting football.

                  I'd be tempted to hold off mate. Both teams may both concede and you have 11 starters by the sounds of it. That said, Pereira has fantastic fixtures ahead and is the most exciting of the 3. Maguire is also a goal threat so it's probably close between the 2 of them. I'm a big fan of Chilwell and he's also easy on the eye.
