FPL Question Time – Consult our panel ahead of Gameweek 36

The final Double Gameweek of the season is almost over and the end of 2018/19 is in sight, with just three Gameweeks left to navigate.

Fantasy Premier League managers have less than 48 hours between the culmination of Gameweek 35 and the deadline for Gameweek 36, which is at an earlier-than-usual time of 19:00 BST on Friday because of the televised clash between Liverpool and Huddersfield Town.

That game at Anfield is perhaps the central focus of many FPL bosses’ plans, especially for those with the Triple Captain chip left to use.

You can ask one of our panel a question on this topic or any other subject relating to Fantasy football by filling in the form below.

Who’s on the panel this week?

Ben Crabtree – A former winner of Fantasy Premier League, Ben finished first in the overall rankings in the 2016/17 season.

FPL Family – Lee and Sam are the well-known married couple who play Fantasy football together and run a YouTube channel documenting their thoughts. They have appeared on the Official FPL show this season.

G-Whizz – One of our very own moderators on the site, who currently has an overall rank of 6,521 going into Wednesday’s final two fixtures of Gameweek 35.

So, best TC option if no Mo:

    A - Mane v HUD (gw36)
    B - Son v WHU (gw36)
    C - Sterling v LEI (gw37)
    D - Kun v LEI (gw37)

I'm thinking A personally. Lei could be tricky.

    Ta!

      I'm going A.

No way i can fit Salah in at this point.

Cheers both. Yeah I'd have to do a -8 for Salah so no dice. Plus would mean Eriksen out which seems silly after last night.

    Brighton - Newcastle predictions?

Newcastle got nothing to play for. Play Brighton defenders even though they're shite? 😆

They were already safe really just as Palace were only one point ahead.

Don’t expect them to play any differently this time.

Ditch Murray now or give him the Newcastle game.

    Best replacement

    A. Rashford
    B. Zaha
    C. Someone else

    Have Jimenez and Wilson.

    A) KDB, Lukaku to Salah TC, Zaha (-4)

    B) KDB, Lukaku to Mane, Firminho (TC) (-4)

    C) KDB, Lukaku, Gray to Mane (TC), Aguero, DCL (-8).

Prefer to TC Salah or Firminho tbh as Rival will Capt Mane I think.

It just means Foden will get some more game time. It doesn't make him BSilva a good asset to own.

Note to self for next season, don't bring in sh*t players like Bednarek that play for sh*t teams just because of fixtures/double gameweeks. They are sh*t for a reason.

Go with the players you think will score the most points!

Fair point but you get my gist, so many disappointments in the doubles this year.

Well you have to have some budget players, seems more logical to get some budget players with DGWs rather than SGWs, then just bench them.
Bednarek should still do well for you in GW38.

      Great advice.

If people had followed this and not brought in the likes of Matt Ryan for their bench then my gameweek which involved not playing my Bench Boost would have been a lot better. There is nothing wrong with a 4m 5th defender who is nailed on and plays for a team with clean sheet potential and good fixtures.

I think it is you who needs to be looking to take advice and not give it out in a condescending way.

Salah to get hud off because of going to NYC? I hope Klopp gives us definitive words either way.

Hope so but doubt it. Seemed pretty desperate on the golden boot front (to take that penalty)

Feel I n eed to take a gamble to overthrow my ML rival/leader who still has his TC - currently only 8 pts ahead of me

I’m considering the ballsy move of:

      Sterling > Salah

Meaning it will come down to:

      Him: Mane(TC) + Sterling
      vs
      Me: Salah(C) + Jota

Rest of our teams are very similar (his blocking strategy)

Worth the risk or just do Eriksen/Son (who he also has both of) > Mane(c) and take his TC on the chin?

8 points is nothing. Do your own thing

      2. MTPockets
          5 years, 1 day ago

Prefer Mane/Sterling by miles. But if ML is your priority then perhaps.
You won't beat them with the same team, although 8pts over 3 gw not a lot

I'm in a similar situation. A few points behind we both have Salah and he will TC him next week. Think I'll just have to play my own game and hope it's enough.

Mane and Sterling is a way better look heading into the final three games. Make up those 8points with lower price and lesser owner punts, dont miss out on those big hitter points for the sake of trying to be different

Concerned Salah will be rested against Huddersfield given his New York trip.

Got the TC on him, but TC Mane looks more appealing now...anyone else feeling similarly?

considering Liverpool can win that game with their B team and the next game is Barca, I'd defo be worried about him getting rested!
