FFS Cup

The latest FFS Cup fixtures and results

We’ve reached the semi-final stage of our second FFS Cup of the season.

The quarter-finals were resolved after the final two matches of Double Gameweek 35 on Wednesday evening and all of our semi-finalists broke the 100-point barrier in this round of fixtures.

Roger150 did likewise but was unfortunate to come up against
Ibra-gum, who prevailed by 123 points to 109.

Ibra-gum is the lowest-ranked manager left in the competition but his successful Bench Boost in Gameweek 35 lifted him 97,000 places to just outside the top 100k.

FFS moderator Rotation’s Alter Ego continued his fine season with a 110-71 win over HPCAMPBELL, who had an overall rank of 262 coming into Double Gameweek 35.

Rotation’s Alter Ego now has an OR of 1,716, with a Triple Captain chip still to use.

Our highest-ranked remaining manager is LOKOMOTIV, who is positioned at 1,298th – that being his best rank of the season so far.

LOKOMOTIV, who beat dark91 102-81 in the quarter-finals, also has a Triple Captain chip still up his sleeve.

Skogen89‘s successful deployment of the Bench Boost lifted him inside the top 20k for the first time since Gameweek 10 and helped see off Hi Ho Silva Lining by 115 points to 82.

Skogen89 is another FPL manager who still has their Triple Captain chip intact.

The full quarter-final results were as follows:

Hi Ho Silva Lining8262631vsSkogen8911517965
HPCAMPBELL71829vsRotation’s Alter Ego1101716
dark9181701011vsLOKOMOTIV1021298
Ibra-gum123101067vsRoger15010973131

The two Fantasy managers who lurk just outside the top 1k, Rotation’s Alter Ego and LOKOMOTIV, have been kept apart in the semi-finals.

The full draw is as follows:

Skogen8917965vsRotation’s Alter Ego1716

    Lloris - Ryan
    Robertson - Laporte - Doherty - Duffy - Bednarek
    KDB - Mane - Eriksen - Son - Jota
    Aguero - Jimenez - Gray

    1FT 0ITB.

Any suggestions? KDB needs to go. Want either Sterling or Salah, but would mean a hit in any case? BSilva could be an option, but feels a little "meh"

Similar team to mine, same midfield.

I'm very likely doing KDB + Eriksen ----> Salah + Babel

Cheers. Have been considering something like that. Just unsure on the hit and losing Eriksen. Protecting leads in ML's so probably being a bit cautious due to that

Just lack of confidence from Klopp, I guess. Hendo is suddenly being a bit creative, as well as Keita and the front three are scoring goals. So no need to change it up, I guess.

Current: Robertson - Salah - Eriksen - Gray

    vs. Robertson - Salah - Mane - Llorente (-4)

    vs. Robertson - Salah - Mane - Long (-4)

    vs. Robertson - Salah - Firmino - Deulofeu (-4)

    vs. Robertson - Salah - Firmino - Redmond (-4)

Or just swap Gray to Llorente/Long with FT, or keep Eriksen/Gray and save FT.

    Hey guys
    Who would you start?
    Leno or Ryan
    and
    Doherty or Duffy

Arsenal looks shaky and are likely to concede against Leicester.
I also think that Watford can score against Wolves.
Maybe theres a chance Brighton could keep Newcastle at bay...

    1. Balls of Steel
      • 8 Years
      5 years, 6 hours ago

      Ryan + Duffy.

I think Brighton really have to go for this one against Newcastle as their last 2 games against Arsenal and Manchester City will be extremely difficult to get anything from. So it could be a very tight low scoring encounter this weekend and can see a clean sheet.

It's now 6 league games since finding the back of the net, however they did manage to beat Newcastle away 1-0 earlier in the season. I can see a 0-0 or 1-0 again. All I want is a Duffy clean sheet and bonus points 🙂

          Ye I’m between:

          1. Save FT (and just have mane (TC) and Robbo)
          2. Eriksen & Aguero -> Salah & Rash -4 (and then another -4 to get aguero back next week)
          3. Aguero to firminio (but it’s just storing up trouble for next week)

1 I think makes most sense but Salah fear is pulling me to 2
