Gameweek 13 is just around the corner (Tuesday the 25th of June) and itโs another double, with AIK and IFK Norrkรถping both playing two games. AIKย has a double header at home (againstย Norrkรถping and Malmรถ), while Norrkรถping play away to AIK, and home against IK Sirius. The rest of the teams have just the one fixture, but weโll take a look at some of the most interesting players from both categories.
AIK options
Goalkeeper Oscar Linnรฉr (6.0m) is doing a solid job just like last season, with 6 clean sheets from 12 games so far. He hasnโt gotten tested that much though, much thanks to AIKโs brilliant defence, heโs currently ranked 7th of the Allsvenskan keepers for saves with 31. He is doing good things for bonus however, netting 10 defensive bonus points.
Given their reputation from previous seasons, AIKโs defence has understandably been popular picks, and with good results this year as well. Barring a couple of experimental games this season, AIK usually lines up with a back three/five with wingbacks helping both in attack and defence, just like Malmรถ. Unlike Malmรถ however, AIK tends to (most of the time) utilise defenders for those positions, rather than mids/forwards. Daniel Sundgren (7.2m) is AIK‘s top points scorer so far with 74 points overall (3 goals, 1 assist and 6 clean sheets). On pens and playing for a solid defensive side, heโs rightly owned by 37.7% of all fantasy managers. He has been sold to Greek side Aris but thanks to an agreement between the clubs that he would stay until the first round of Champions League-qualification is done, heโs not leaving until the 18th of July and should be safe to start for the double. On two yellow cards so heโs walking the tightrope but then again so are a lot of players, weโre probably just going to have to take that risk given the huge potential upside.
Central defender Per Karlsson (6.6m) contributes very little in terms of offensive stats but he is absolutely bossing the defensive side of the game, with 13 defensive bonus points and 6 clean sheets, all without a single yellow card, making sure heโs currently at 59 points overall. Just one point behind him is Karol Mets (6.4m) whoโs also been a solid option. Panajotis Dimitriadis (5.5m), commonly referred to as just Panos, missed out when AIK tried a different playstyle in GW5-GW6 but has otherwise been nailed and a solid, cheaper way into AIKโs defence. Rasmus Lindkvist (6.3m) has seemingly lost his place as left wingback, ousted by midfielder Anton Salรฉtros (7.3m) in recent weeks.
AIK midfielders haven’t really been fantasy players in general, although Sebastian Larsson (8.9m) has been starting to deliver some good returns, netting 2 goals and 4 assists, with the brace against Hammarby right before the break sealing the deal. Heโs a very good player (no doubt) but scoring from open play isnโt really his cup of tea in general, itโs more set pieces and assists.
As for strikers, this isnโt as straight forward as weโd all prefer now with so much talent in the final thirds available to coach Rikard Norling. Tarik Elyounoussi (9.4m) scored 8 goals in 5 games before his GW12 blank, however his positional versatility might work against him in a fantasy sense, as heโs frequently dropped back to midfield when all strikers are fit and available. Henok Goitom (9.7m) plays most games and is on 0 goals, 5 assists from 9 starts. Chinedu Obasi (8.5m), hyped in pre-season by many (myself included) has struggled a bit so far with injuries and loss of form, getting only 1 goal and 1 assist. Kolbeinn Sigthorsson (9.4m) hasnโt gotten any real gametime (45 minutes so far) but youโd imagine he will be pushing for more starts now that he is โfitโ again. The dark horse in this is Nicolas Stefanelli (not in the game yet) whoโs back now after a loan spell during the spring. Weโll have to wait and see if and when heโs integrated back to the squad or what the plan is there but he did score 6 goals and 3 assists (in 18 games) last season, following 9 goals, 3 assists (in 16 games) the year before that.
IFK Norrkรถping options
Goalkeeper Isak Petterson (5.9m) has 4 clean sheets to his name and is ranked 3rd for saves with 39 in 12 gameweeks. Much like Linnรฉr, he is mopping up defensive bonus points with 13 gathered so far. Norrkรถping defence throws up a few interesting names to consider, even though away to AIK is a tough prospect for clean sheets. Lars Krogh Gerson (6.1m) seems to be the pick of the bunch if you can stretch that far, the wingback contributing with 2 goals and 1 assist so far. Heโs also got 3 offensive and 7 defensive bonus and is in general quite involved in the games. If thatโs a bit rich for your taste there is also Kasper Larsen (5.6m) and Rasmus Lauritsen (4.8m) to consider. Filip Dagerstรฅl (5.9m) has gathered 10 defensive bonus points but is a bit like Per Karlsson from AIK in that he isnโt that involved in the attack (not that every defender has to, itโs just a nice fantasy-bonus).
In midfield,ย Simon Thern (8.9m) is top scorer so far for Norrkรถping with 1 goal and 3 assists. Not really raking in the bonus, heโs at 1 offensive, 4 defensive bonus points on the season. Alexander Fransson (7.9m) is suspended for the game against AIK but will be back for the second fixture against Sirius, while that is the more favourable game it makes him a single gameweeker from a doubling team, which kind of takes the fun out of it. Bonus point magnet Gudmundur Thorarinsson (8.3m) whoโs at 9 offensive, 8 defensive bonus points is a bit of a complex option. Heโs only got 2 assists so far and has missed out at times when Norrkรถping has shifted around players in midfield. If he plays, heโll get bonus thatโs for sure and maybe thatโs going to be enough to be an interesting pick for a DGW. Sead Haksabanovic (8.5m) has failed to live up to his reputation and seems completely out of favour, not starting a game since GW5.
Further up the pitch, newly appointed Helsingborg coach Henrik Larsson has a son that most fantasy managers will have noticed by now, Jordan Larsson (7.4m). On 8 goals and 1 assist so far, he looks to be a really good option both for the double gameweek and going forward (assuming Norrkรถping can hold on to him in the summer transfer window). Christoffer Nyman (9.7m) is on 3 goals, 1 assist and might be a bit pricey for what heโs currently delivering. He has been struggling a bit with injuries and form, both departments that seem to have improved in the final 3 gameweeks before the break. Could be a sneaky doubling up option along with Larsson.
Keep in mind when deciding how much youโre going to commit to the double, that AIK, Norrkรถping, Malmรถ, and Sundsvall all have a blank gameweek coming up, in GW18. It might still be far ahead but given that transfers are limited and most will be sporting quite a few players from the first three teams, it is worth considering when planning more long term.
Single gameweekers to target
There are some interesting players if we just drop the double gameweek-blinders for a second, one that springs to mind is Jonathan Ring (7.9m) whoโs got 4 goals from his last 4 games, to go along with his 4 assist that came earlier in the season. Heโs also good with bonus, getting 8 offensive and 4 defensive points. Djurgรฅrden faces off against Kalmar at home and Ring could definitely be in the points yet again.
Alexander Jeremejeff (9.7m) lines up against a Hammarby side thatโs only got 3 clean sheets in 12 attempts and who (before the break at least) had quite a number of defenders out injured. Jeremejeff is on 5 goals, 5 assists for the season and could be primed for more on Monday. Gรถteborg striker Giorgi Kharaishvili (8.4m) is on 3 goals 4 assists and crucially, heโs an absolute monster with bonus, getting 8 offensive and 10 defensive points from 11 games. He travels to รstersund who like Hammarby, only have 3 clean sheets so far.
